I tried Zabb Thai for the first time during OC Restaurant Week last year & was so happy to see them as part of OC Restaurant Week again. My boyfriend found this place because it offers a large selection of vegan items (me) and non-vegan items (him). The OC Restaurant Week Dinner Menu/Deal is amazing. Multiple appetizers, large entree, and dessert! I had the fried spring roll, curry puff, papaya salad, Panang Curry with Vegan Shrimp, brown rice, and the Mango Sticky Rice. So much food, yay leftovers! Lots of great options to choose from (for their OC Restaurant Week Menu & on their normal menus). The staff are always kind and attentive. Tonight our server was so happy and positive! Another thing about Zabb, they are always SO good about knowing what's vegan and what's not. Again, I'm vegan, my boyfriend isn't. He chose the fried banana & ice cream dessert (comes with non vegan ice cream, but you can request vegan). Anyways, after we were served, a server or chef rushed out concerned that we weren't given the vegan ice cream because she noticed many items on our order were vegan. This was extremely thoughtful of her and just goes to show how accommodating they are of dietary restrictions and choices! It was correct that the ice cream was not vegan as I ordered the other already vegan dessert and knew the other one came with dairy ice cream. They have free valet parking due to the restaurant location off PCH. Zabb is a great place to go to share menu items too since the serving size is large and they have such a large selection, you're going to want to try it all!

Zabb Thai Cuisine truly impressed with every bite! I ordered the chicken beef satay combo, Tom yum soup served in a pot, khao soi curry, and chicken pad Thai, and each dish brought a unique burst of authentic flavors. The khao soi curry was a standout--rich, aromatic, and layered with complex spices that left me wanting more. The satay came with an amazing peanut sauce that elevated the meats to a whole new level. The Tom yum soup was tangy and hearty, and the chicken pad Thai delivered the classic, balanced flavors I crave in this dish. To top it off, the lychee drinks were refreshingly delightful.Amazing customer service and wanted to thank our waitress Yesenia for a great first time here! It started to get busy around 7pm with the restaurant filling up. Glad to have made a reservation. Great ambience and perfect for a weekend date night.

We came here on Valentine's Day and it was so cute! They had a little area with balloons you could take pictures at & had little hearts hanging from the windows. I started off with the mango green tea and it was SO good. It tastes like the tea when you go to a boba place & they had free refills on it. That's a huuuuge plus for me. We started off with cream cheese wontons & the sarong shrimp. I couldn't understand why the cream cheese in the wontons were green & I didn't like the way they fried them. It was more of a puffy airy fry than a true crispy type of fry. I wouldn't order this one again. I did like the sarong shrimp. The portions here are HUGE - it's definitely family style for the entrees. I got the pad Thai & ate it across 3 different meals, that's how big it is. I got it with shrimp but I didn't feel like the shrimp soaked up the sauce well. I'll try it with chicken next time. I thought the noodles were cooked well - I liked this dish. We got the Thai tea creme brûlée and were disappointed. I had to send it back. The top wasn't really crispy and when you took a bite - you saw the creme brûlée was watery underneath. We got the mango puffs instead & these were delicious crunchy mango filled hand pies. I will be back here! And the server was very sweet making sure we had everything we needed. I love the vibes here & that they have a fireplace.

It was a cool, winter morning when I got a craving for some Thai curry and hot chrysanthemum tea. I headed north on pch in Newport where I found my new favorite Thai place- Zabb! Zabb Thai boasts authentic cuisine, great service, and upscale white-linen ambience. Their signature alcoholic Thai tea looks amazing. The pumpkin curry, the pra ram with peanut sauce, and pad see ew were all delicious, but my favorite was the bbq pork pineapple fried rice. Zabb is simply incredible and they really deliver if you want a nice date spot for you and your girlfriend or wife. Spice up your date with the fish sauce and chili oil served in the most beautifully presented arrangement. Zabb has my vote for best Thai food of 2025! Next time I'm trying the pad kee mao aka drunken noodles. Oh yeah be sure to bring cash because the valet is mandatory, but complimentary. Just need to tip the gentleman at the front. Thank you, Zabb for making the start of my new year's vacation epic.

This was the best Thai food experience that I ever had in my entire life!I have always loved Thai food but this place just rose the bar to the next level for me. It has set a new standard now, for me to look for this level of quality food wherever I go next! I literally couldn't stop thinking about how good the food was!The staff were very polite, friendly and courteous. The place was big, we got a nice corner to ourselves. They had lovely music playing in the background. Very nice ambiance. We ordered the Tom Kha Soup, Drunken Noodles, Spicy eggplant, Pad Thai and Mango with Sweet Sticky Rice. I loved every item so much that I can't say which one was my favorite. The food was bursting with flavors. They even had a whole section for vegan dishes which helped me because I am vegan.I tried their vegan shrimp, ehh wouldn't recommend it. It didn't taste anything like shrimp, lol. I normally don't try fake meat but yesterday I tried and wasn't pleased as usual.Definitely worth visiting this place again and again!I just can't get over the fact of how good the whole experience was!And oh, always try to make a reservation especially on weekends because they are usually packed.

Great cozy atmosphere. It was a rainy night that we were there and they had the fireplace on. It was crackling in the main dining area and the golden art hanging above the fireplace glowed from the light of the fire. Our server, Diamond, was excellent & cheerful. We are definitely going back. We might try lunch sometime too.

Some of the best Thai food you will find in SoCal! My husband and I discovered Zabb's about 2 years ago on Valentine's Day. We've gone back several times since because the food and service are 10/10. The pad thai and curries are incredible. The portions are huge, and definitely shareable. You can't come here without getting the Thai Ice Tea and the coconut rice for dessert is a nonnegotiable. Truly anything you order will not disappoint. They do have plenty of gluten free and vegan options, so there's something for everyone. The staff is also so kind. You always see the same friendly faces. Parking is valet, but it is complimentary.

Friendly fast service, but the spice level is a little underwhelming. (If you love spicy food like I do) Overall though, good portion size and good food! We got our food to go, so can't explain the complete interior of the restaurant, but from the outside it was nicely decorated.

We strictly ordered off the Vegan menu. They DO NOT skimp on the servings (or the protein)! I'm going to offend a lot of folks, but everyone knows you don't drive down to South County for 'good food', at least not often. These reviews aren't lying the dishes served here are seasoned perfectly, very flavorful. You pick your own vegan protein (shrimp, chicken, duck, tofu, or just veg) so all of the rabbit vegans can stop hounding us 'dirty' vegans for eating faux meat and worry about themselves. The service was on point, there were waiters and food runners constantly checking up on the table. Vaulted ceilings, spacious tables, and clean of course. 10/10 recommend.
