Tupelo Junction Cafe is a gem! My wife and I stopped by for breakfast and were so impressed with the cozy outdoor seating area, perfect for a relaxed start to the day. The vibe was warm and inviting, just what we needed. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict, and it was the best she'd ever had! The eggs were perfectly poached, and the hollandaise sauce was rich and flavorful. We also tried the huevos rancheros - a total standout! The pork was perfectly seasoned, and it came atop crispy corn tortillas with perfectly cooked eggs. Every bite was delicious. The waitstaff was incredibly friendly, making the experience even better. All around, a fantastic breakfast spot! Next time we are in the area, we will be back for certain!

The food is good, which is not easy in this area as it can be super touristy. The food is not cheap, but it is yummy. Their Chicken fried steak is not made from frozen - which in SoCal is a news worthy event. The staff is good. Very attentive and not pushy for you to clear out at the end of your meal. The coffee and OJ were great. The bathrooms clean and parking is OK, can be tricky on the weekend.

Been here a couple of times now for brunch and lunch and can still see us coming back again for dinner because even though there are many great places to eat in the area, there aren't too many that do Southern cuisine and if they do, they don't do it well. The menu at Tupelo Junction has something for everyone and I've enjoyed everything that I've tried. What I really appreciate is that they offer both large and small plates because sometimes I'm not too hungry but still want to tag along and "dine out". Their cocktail menu includes some interesting concoctions you don't see everywhere. Although this restaurant doesn't have a dedicated parking lot, we have never had an issue finding street parking. Just make sure you have the park mobile app downloaded and ready to go.

There were so many places to choose from, so happy we stopped here. Very friendly staff - in fact, I ordered a glass of OJ, she came back with the jug and said, "our oranges have been a little bitter lately, would you like to taste the juice first?" I did, and she was right - too bitter. Nice of her. Ordered the wild mushroom, asparagus, with black truffle cheese scramble - it was very good. Love that it came with a salad. Also ordered the Dungeness crab cake (made in house, quite ample) w/avocado salsa, poached egg & barre blanc - best dish I've had in a very long time. We cannot wait to come back

The location is fantastic and ambiance is fine, but we were disappointed with the food. We ordered breakfast and coffee. Coffee was cold fortunately upon complaint they replaced it with Americano.

Everything was so good! From the drinks to the savory to the sweet dishes. We came for brunch and everyone loved what they got- bloody Mary's, crab cake breakfast, eggs Benedict, avocado toast, the bacon scramble and the French toast. The biscuit was really good and the French toast was phenomenal. Would definitely come back

Tupelo Junction is tucked into a neighborhood in Newport on the peninsula, rather hidden. We arrived a bit after 11:00 am for lunch and it wasn't crowded, which I was shocked with all the tourists in Newport, but it was a weekday too.We sat inside, as it was a bit chilly on a very overcast morning and a lovely ocean breeze. We were immediately greeted and our server brought menus over and took drink orders. She was so sweet and friendly, offering her favorites and other popular dishes on the menu.We scoured the breakfast and lunch menu and made our decisions.Mr. B wanted breakfast and he went with the Eggs Benedict which was served with potatoes. Hey when in a Southern restaurant, one must go a bit Southern. So I ordered myself the Southern favorite of Fried Green Tomatoes served with a corn and tomato salsa. The food came out pretty quickly and was nice and hot. Mr. B loved his Eggs Benedict, the ham was fork tender, you didn't need a knife to cut it and it was full of flavor with perfectly poached eggs. My Fried Green Tomatoes were scrumptious. Battered in a cornmeal batter, they were very crispy without being greasy and the tomatoes were melt in your mouth tender. The salsa was perfectly salted and I absolutely loved each and every bite. Tupelo Junction is a new favorite, we will be back for breakfast, lunch and even to give the dinner menu a go. There is a decent amount of indoor seating with a very nice patio. Parking is street parking, so on weekends I imagine it is difficult. You pay by the Newport Beach parking app. Instructions are posted on signs if you don't already have it. It makes life so much easier.

Found my favorite restaurant from Santa Barbara (that sadly closed years ago) in Newport Beach! Love the twist and southern flair of the drinks and food. Walking distance from our hotel in Newport Beach. Service was good given how busy the restaurant was for brunch on a Sunday. Recommend making restaurant reservations on Open table.
