Just paid $21.54 for a meat burrito with 70% was rice and beans. This is what you normally pay at a fancy dine in restaurant, Not a tortillería market. There are multiple other around with better tasting food and half the price. Be Aware

Absolutely legit tienda for Mexican food and more. Seriously you could spend $80 and get a giant tray of the best chips, salsa, guacamole and other fixings that you've ever had for a party. They have fresh tortillas and amazing food to go as well. It's all fresh, delightful, and clean. Love this place! When folks are asking for good tacos or for some food to bring to a party, this is always where I point them!

If you're looking for an authentic taste of Mexico in the heart of Lake Forest, Tula Market is a hidden gem that's worth checking out--assuming you don't mind a bit of an adventure. (English is not their strong point but I manage to do okay.)Food: The food is the star of the show at Tula Market. The menu offers a variety of traditional Mexican dishes, from tacos and burritos to tamales and sopes. The flavors are bold and authentic, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. The tacos are particularly outstanding--well-seasoned meats, fresh toppings, and homemade tortillas that have just the right amount of chewiness. The salsas are another highlight, bringing just the right amount of heat and tang to the dishes.Torta de Milanesa Pollo - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&select=ghpCq98LEL2OlM8YBY8ITwAmbiance: Tula Market has a charmingly no-frills atmosphere. The market itself is small and packed with all sorts of goodies, from fresh produce to hard-to-find Mexican spices and snacks. The layout is a bit tight, so be prepared to navigate through narrow aisles. The adjacent food counter, where you can order hot meals, has a more casual, street-food vibe. There are a few tables outside where you can sit down and enjoy your food, but don't expect anything fancy--this is more about the food than the setting.Food Counter - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&select=FA-JPMyEX-Vk7CXARFsWiAService: The staff at Tula Market is friendly and eager to help, but be aware that things can get a bit chaotic during peak hours. You might have to wait a little longer for your food, but the wait is usually worth it. The staff's warmth and genuine hospitality make up for any delays, and they're always happy to offer recommendations if you're unsure what to order.Value: Prices at Tula Market are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. You can enjoy a filling meal without breaking the bank, which makes it a great spot for a quick lunch or a casual dinner. Three years ago, the burritos cost $10 and that Milanese Torta was $11.50. Now, the burritos are $14 and the torta is $15. Both are rich, hearty, and packed with flavor. For those who prefer something a bit more familiar, the carne asada burrito is a solid choice--generously stuffed and bursting with flavor. However, I have a tendency to lean towards the al pastor; albeit a tad on the salty side. Just be aware that portions are generous, so come hungry!Al Pastor Burrito - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&select=qZ53G788TudETtUNU6t_MQTula Market isn't about luxury or fine dining--it's about enjoying authentic Mexican food in a relaxed, unpretentious setting. If you appreciate good food and a bit of local charm, this place is definitely worth a visit. It might not be the most polished spot in town, but it's one of the most genuine.Overall rating: 3 1/2 Stars (Rounding up)- Big Aloha!Food: 4Ambiance: 3Service: 4Value: 3+

Tula has 'Market' in its name but a good number of people, myself included, comes here to buy ready-to-eat authentic Mexican food. Be sure to take a number if you are here to buy food then wait for your number being called. There is no place to eat inside the market but there are several tables and chairs just outside the doors. From my experience, it's a 50-50 chance whether the person behind the counter can speak English or not, so today I had to use the point method to order. Truth be told, I suspect her English is better than my Spanish, just saying. My favorite item here is chicharron salsa ranchers. But they have pozole and other guisados (soups) and menudo on weekends, plus tacos, burritos, tortas, quesadillas, and combo plates too. It does have specials of the day Mondays through Fridays so look them over.Today I discovered there is another Tula (#1) at the corner of El Toro & Muirlands, which is closer to me. What a pleasant find.

The food is fantastic. The carnitas are incredibly tender, juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked to melt in your mouth. The service is also top-notch; the staff is attentive and friendly. It's impressive how they consistently stock all the essential items, so you never have to worry about missing out on your favorites. Overall, every aspect contributes to a wonderful dining experience.

This place was happening on a Sunday afternoon! If you're going to order from the counter, be sure to grab a number. The chips are made to order and the guac and salsa verde was a hit with the crowd. Will definitely be back to try more offerings...especially with the freshly made tortillas on site.

This market is located off El Toro and Rockfield? By the 5 fwy! Tula market is a small Latin/Mexican grocery store with a section that makes food to go! The market has some goods that you can't find around these parts, the closest would be in Tustin/Santa Ana or more south. The food they serve there is very tasty and sometimes the portions are big!

The guy at the meat área was really helpful and friendly but, having to bag my own groceries didn't sit well with me specially because she was ringing the person behind me and I was not done with bagging mines.
