Troy's Drive In

I haven't been to Troy's in a while, but figured we'd stop by on an early weekend morning. It was pretty crowded for the morning. The place looked the same as I remembered even years ago. We got the breakfast burrito and it was huge. It was packed with hash browns, bacon, and cheese. We also got the carne asada burrito and the meat was in small chunks. Overall, everything was okay and it seems like the prices are a lot higher than previously.

Decided to go to Troy's on a whim while I was in the area for nostalgia's sake, and unfortunately it was underwhelmed. This used to be the spot during late start days in school where everybody would go for a breakfast burrito. Got the sausage burrito with cheese, and the sausage itself was not great and has an artificial taste to it, almost a little sweet, which I definitely do not like. The burrito did not have any texture, basically was just... soggy. I hate wasting food, but I was not worth finishing.

Top tier breakfast burrito. Service was quick and friendly. Got the chorizo breakfast burrito that had good ingredient ratios. The green salsa yellow cheese is always a nice combination.

Editing my review. I don't think I'm going to come back here. The burritos absolutely suck and only get worse. How is this place so "well known/famous" for these burritos. The whole thing is filled with oily bland tasting hashbrowns. I'm halfway thru it and all I've gotten was 1 small nub of sausage that tasted day old and dry/hard, zero egg so far and just now barley seeing cheese after more then 50% finished. For $12.50 they are insane. Workers aren't even remotely friendly either. Ide rather go to del taco

I want to give 4 stars so bad. I'm kind of a breakfast burrito snob, and I have been on the quest for the best one in southern CA. Basically if there is a breakfast burrito on the menu, I'm getting it. I think I saw this place on a tik tok, so I had to try it. This is my second visit. I wanted to love this burrito, and it has sooo much potential! Is it the "best breakfast burrito" as their sign says? Not for me, but still pretty good. The good: very good ratio of ingredients. A lot of places stuff them with potatoes and make them hash brown heavy, they don't. The tortilla is awesome. The amount of cheese was perfect, and the salsa verde was also very good. Not so good: Everything was overcooked. The eggs were cooked to death, and the sausage seemed like it was from the day before and microwaved. The cheese never melted the whole time I ate my burrito. In my opinion (and I'll make you the best breakfast burrito you've ever had) you have to leave the eggs a little loose (over medium is even better, but not many willing to take that on) so that it's not so dry. There needs to be some gooey or greasy! All in all the burrito was a 7/10, and service was good. I'll be back, but I want to try a few more joints first. Maybe that will change my opinion.

Been going to Troys for 20 years. Today I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito which used be $8. Price now is $13.47 a $2.12 increase over last year's big increase to $11.35.You have finally driven me away. Bye.

The burritos can be pricey if you ask for extra meat but they don't put a lot of it in it. I had a bacon and chorizo burrito and a extra sausage with chorizo and a drink which was over $30. I would suggest not asking for thanksgiving extra because the amount the put in the burrito wouldn't justify the price in my opinion.

I have driven by this place for years. I've always been in a hurry, on my way somewhere, so I have never stopped. Today I was driving by with no particular place to go, so I stopped for lunch. My logic was that if this place, Troy's, had been her for all those years in an un likely location, it must be good.Boy what that the under statement of the century! It wasn't just good, it was great!The first thing I notice was a sign that said it was owned by the same family since 1977. And it showed in the pride of ownership that we don't often see in big corporation owned places. The facility was spotless...right down to the windows being clean and polished the grounds and dinning area like the great grandmother who did nothing but clean.The food. A combo of large drink and fries was not only tasty but it was at a grear price. The lady at the order window was a sweet heart. This place is worthy of respect ! I'll be back and I hope I will have to stand in line because people are there it enjoy this gem in Orange!

I use to love coming here and ordering their sausage breakfast burrito. They use to be packed with sausage. The last couple times I have gone it's been very disappointing specially with the price increase! It's 14 dollars now for a burrito that mainly has 80% potatoes and 20% of eggs and sausage and that's me being generous in the description. I encourage everyone to write a review and let them know what you think.I hope it improves one day, but for now they have lost me as a customer.
