Hungover, I ask the Service guy at Delillo Chevrolet where I can get Menudo on a Monday. He recommended Trejo's. So I walk about a mile to get here, and I am so happy I have found this place. They got so many options for breakfast and lunch, my only wish was that this place was closer so I could try everything. They have the chicharronnes en salsa roja y Verde.... something I haven't had since my trip to Cabo.Tortillas and Salsa all made in house, and they're delicious. No homeny in my menudo, PERFECT. It has a good portion of tripe too in my bowl.Price is on par with most places. I WILL be back for sure.

Horrible Last 3 orders before just ok This last nite order was totally gross inedible Dried out burnt up tortilla shells .Everytime I have called customer service I have never been given an option to replace my order but given an excuse that we don't reimburse money paid as well .This is my last time there going on 5 years .I received today Monday morning an email from Donna Executive Coordinator that they don't have a restaurant in Huntington Beach and they don't have Street tacos as a sold product so people listen up pull out all your receipts from this Restaurant and contact Trejos Mexican as they claim they are not responsible for this horrid food to make you sick like us and demand all your money back . Don't go there .

Disappointing birrieria tacos and consomé. 3 small tacos for $15 + tax is a ripoff for the amount of meat they put inside and sogginess of the tortilla. Either not fresh or maybe premade, but definitely did not taste as good as legit mexican spots. It falls apart before you can even dip inside the consomé, which had little flavor. Noticed that they don't charge a credit card fee for spanish speakers, but will charge you a credit card fee if you speak english while also not telling you. Better tasting spots to visit and for cheaper as well.

Trejo's Mexican Food was delicious. Nestled in a corner, it was great meal! They have ready made fast food or food to order.I had the battered fish tacos plate and chips and salsa. Good portions and tasty food. The staff were friendly and helpful.

My best buddy, and weekly lunch companion, joined me for some Mexican food this week. I am a fan of Danny Trejo, and I have been wanting to try this restaurant since it opened!Let me just say that the food here is exceptionally authentic! My friend and I were the only people in the restaurant that were not native Spanish speakers! Every plate that came out of the kitchen was hand made for that particular plate!I had the El Pastor burrito, and paid a bit more to have it Trejos' way, with a dab of sour cream, extra cheese and some guacamole. I couldn't stop eating it! It was big, and I try to only eat half a restaurant serving when I go out but I had to eat it all!I looked over at my buddy's plate of green Chile pork and realized that he was scraping the remnants off with his finger and licking it! The corn tortillas that came with his order were completely superior! The interior of the restaurant is basic at best, and there are a few tables in the parking lot. The service was fast and efficient! You come here for the food folks! Just based on the food I have to give Trejos a five spot!

Not to be confused with Danny Trejos tacos. Although a search brought us here on the prediction, they were the same. In any event, we decided to stay. They are located next to the gas station, and the parking lot is smaller for the complex. They are a stand-alone restaurant in the shopping complex. There was seating outside and inside. They are known for their birria ramen and people before us ordered it, and the people who finished up ordered that as seen on one of the pics for the empty bowls. Of course, we ordered the most white items on the menu because we looked with our eyes from pictures and didn't care what it was. It was the Gobernador Fries (massive shrimp) and the loaded rolled tacos (shrimp and Carne asada) see pics. The salsa was mild and fire, so we mixed the 2 for a perfect combination! The shrimp on the fries were massive!!! It Sooo tasty, and the rolled tacos were filled with papas and freshly made... after we ordered, we realized we should have tried the ramen too... but it was a lot of food for lunch. Wouldn't mind coming back and trying even some buffet plated items. The refried beans looked tasty!Website states: "Family owned and operated, Trejo's Mexican Food was founded on bringing the best of Latin inspired comida to Southern California. Julio Trejo, our Executive Chef"

So sad to give bad review. Birria taco's are being premade. Soggy and fall apart. They used to be delicious.

Tried on a whim, did not disappoint. The breakfast burrito was good, as was the chile verde burrito. The service was good, and the inside is clean. Indoor and outdoor seating which is nice, and plenty of parking! In all I would return, but it's stiff competition in the Mexican food bracket.
