Amazing food! I never leave Yelp reviews but I felt compelled to after visiting Trattoria Trullo. The food is so authentic it reminds me of my first trip to Italy. The owner and chef is so kind and made carbonara off the menu for me. Delicious!

Yes this is an excellent restaurant. Small and quaint nice cozy atmosphere. They offer outside patio seating which looks nice will try next time. We ordered the focaccia to start, you have to get it absolutely best focaccia. So yummy! Ordered a salad which was very well balanced nice greens simple garden salad Main dishes: lasagna was delicious big enough to be shared, also the rigatoni with bolognese sauce again absolutely delicious probably my favorite the last was pasta with broccolini sauce they enjoyed but not a favorite We also had Italian Merlot pricey but very good. Took one home w us but a bottle is a bit over $100. Was the meal worth the $200 price yes actually it was - the service was amazing! Not your everyday Italian restaurant because if orice but as often as I can get there I will Thanks chef

Came here once with friends. Everything was delicious. I thought the branzino was especially cooked well. It was still moist and they put just the right amount of salt to it. The lasagna was also really delicious. There was a lot of layers and you can really see the amount of time and work it takes into making it. The service here is also phenomenal. They have a good amount of staff for the place so we were never really waiting too long for anything. I also like how the place is decorated and the table lights brighten up light food.

What a find in Aliso Viejo! What makes Trattoria Trullo even more special is that we visited the Apuglia region a couple years ago and had some nostalgia eating here. Apparently the trulli home art work by the bathroom is painted after the chef's trullo home. The bread was a must order. We ordered the cheese special pasta thing for fun, definitely more of a novelty thing but since we were celebrating a birthday why not! They have both indoor and outdoor seating and highly recommend making a reservation because a good amount of people were turned away.

We decided to come here on the recommendation of a coworker for a work lunch. I highly recommend. It's a fairly small restaurant but they still had outdoor dining for our party of 9. They were also rather busy for lunch. We were doing a white elephant for Christmas and they let us use a nearby table to place our gifts.Their menu is fairly small but everyone seemed to like what they ordered. We had the foccacia with burrata and their pistachio ricotta to share. This was SO good!! I never thought focaccia could taste this good! This is a must get.I ordered the SPAGHETTI ALLE VONGOLE which was very mild in flavors as the ingredients would suggest. It wasn't out of this world but I was satisfied and I did like the noodle texture a lot. Their tiramisu is solid but their chocolate ice cream is very rich (too rich for our tastes), you might need a glass of milk to wash it down. The service can be a little slow at times but they are very friendly.

Seriously a hidden gem! I went on a Friday evening and there was no wait. The restaurant is fairly small but they had a patio area with heaters for overflow. Literally everything I ate was so delicious! The textures, the flavors, and even the temperature were on point. I still think about how good the focaccia was. The meatballs (Nonna Mina's Polpette) came out piping hot and really tasty. The Lasagna Classica had an elevated element compared to a typical lasagna you'll find elsewhere. As for the seafood pasta, they were very generous with the clams and it definitely had a slight kick! Our waitress informed us that their menu changes based on the season, so I'm excited to see what they have available next time. I can't wait to go back!
