Apparently my mom is still a regular here. I'll update this. She's a fan.. a big fan.. of the stinky tofu. Please don't disappoint her or change the recipe or else this rating will be changed the next time she mentions this place (she is currently a regular)

This is the place to go if you like stinky tofu or minced pork rice! I've been here a few times now, and always have a good experience. While I've never dined in, the to-go food always comes hot and fresh. The prices are also great for the portions you get. Make sure you bring cash!

If you're craving authentic Taiwanese flavors, this is the spot to check out! It's definitely a casual joint, perfect for a laid-back meal. Fair warning: when you walk in, there's a strong stinky tofu smell that might be a bit much at first, but I got used to it eventually. We visited during lunch hours, and it got pretty busy. It seemed like they were a bit understaffed since there was only one person working, but the food still came out quickly. We tried the mushroom sliced pork rice, and it was hands down my favorite! The pork was perfectly fatty and packed with flavor. The sauce soaked into the rice, making every bite delicious. The marinated egg was also a nice touch, and I loved the pickled veggies that came with it.We also ordered the fried chicken fillet rice. While I wish the chicken was fried a tad crispier, the flavor was still spot on. It came with a generous portion of minced pork rice, corn, and veggies--all for just $12.99, which felt like a great deal. The only thing that didn't quite hit the mark for me were the spicy wontons. The sauce had a bit of a peanuty flavor that I wasn't expecting, and I felt like they could've used more filling. I'll probably skip those next time. One thing to note: they only had fans running, and we went on a hot day, so it did get a bit warm inside. Despite that, I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their dishes!

Disclaimer: I've never had stinky tofu before so I can't give a defenitive rating on it.If you're adventurous and want to try a true delicacy, then stinky tofu might be the next food you try. This was my first time trying stinky tofu all because my friend decided today was the day to do so. Tofu King is known for their stinky tofu, but also serve other Taiwanese rice and noodle dishes that complement the delicacy. I already had expectations of what to be prepared for, but walking into the restaurant my sense of smell was assaulted like walking into a wall of fermentation. You quickly get adjusted to the smell after a few minutes, but be warned your clothes will reek. To be completely honest, the stinky tofu wasn't for me. The tofu itself doesn't smell as bad as the air you're breathing. The taste is definitely acquired, there is a strong strong fermented taste with every chew. I also ordered the fried chicken fillet with rice so at least I'd have some rice to eat with the tofu. It was good, the chicken was flavorful but I wish the corn had some more seasoning or flavor to it. Service is fast as well, so it's a pretty quick in and out.

Went to Tofu King to pick up a quick dinner. Ordered a minced pork rice and stinky tofu. At first glance the way the togo ordered was packed made the pork rice look unappetizing but the flavor was decent and the marinated egg was marinated really well and wasn't dry. One thing that may be off putting for some is the texture as the minced pork was a bit too minced making each bite to have a mushy texture. The stinky tofu came with pickled veggies was really good and reminded me of the stinky tofu from the night markets in Taiwan. Overall: 6/10

Place is small and only has a few tables, food is average. We ordered minced pork rice, and it comes with marinated egg. Although the rice is flavorful but the egg is not marinated enough, taste kinda bland. The minced pork tastes average but the price is pretty affordable, $8 ish for a minced pork rice bowl. Service is fast, food comes out 5-10 minutes after ordering. Menu is mostly light eat ( dumpling, scallion pancakes, noodle ). Lunch time might be a little difficult to find parking since it is right across 99 ranch and other restaurants. Tip: They charge $1 more if you paid with card so bring cash

Authentic Taiwanese restaurant (prolly the LAST one) owned and operated by Taiwanese people.Ground pork rice is the best dish and I liked their fried pork chop as well as simmered pork feet too. Add a bowl of squid soup or a side of broiled veggies and this will make a complete Taiwanese meal.

Small little Taiwanese restaurant with your go-to Taiwanese foods. Their menu has images of certain dishes in it so you know what to expect. We had a large party and the lady working the front was very accommodating. We ordered a good mix of appetizers (stinky tofu both versions, beef rolls, onion pancake, and cold appetizer plate). For entrée I ordered a Dandan noodle for myself.Appetizers were nice. The beef roll, for me, was only average. It didn't have enough of the sweet sauce that I typically enjoy in beef rolls. I'd say this one was more of the savory/salty side. I'm not a huge fan of stinky tofu but I can eat it. The stinky tofu was pretty good - we got both the more soupy version and the fried version. I enjoyed the fried one more because of the crispiness and the sauce with pickled veggies.Dandan noodle was decent - pretty nutty but wasn't really spicy. The peanut flavor was very strong and the portion was good that I ended up with leftovers to take home.Overall I like this place. I'd go here again if my friends want to visit here but for me, it wasn't like a "must have" type of place. But still really good for cozy Taiwanese food!

I thought the food at Tofu King was good, well flavored, and represented the flavors of Taiwan when I visited. At the end of the meal I was very satisfied with the mushroom sliced pork rice bowl, fish ball soup, and pork intestine wrap sausage. My only gripe was that the A/C was not on. I mean if you want to experience how it's like in Taiwan, I guess that makes sense, but for goodness sake, turn it on!

Not local to the area but I always make it a point to stop by to satisfy recurrent craving for stinky tofu. The other items on the menu are mostly authentic, and complete the experience. If you go, don't expect service or ambience. It is what it is. Certainly not for everyone. And yes, if you try the signature dish, it's a good idea to bring your toothbrush and mouthwash
