Love coming here after a beach day. Burgers are always consistently good, and the shakes are amazing as well.

TKB was suggested to us by another shack and it did not disappoint. Classic burger. No crazy menu to bog you and the prices down. Total surfer vibe at the place. Burgers made fresh and fairly quick. Fries right out of the basket.Would definitely go to again.

I appreciate a place where I can pick up a cheap, greasy burger in California that is actually cheap. I indulged myself with Cheeseburger and Fries that only cost me $9.97 and slapped so hard it nearly cured me out of my inebriation completely. It was generously sized and piled with all the freshest fixings. This place is fantastic and I'll be returning tonight for more.

Went to TK for the first time last night and I was quite impressed and plan to be back. What I like about these burgers is that it tastes like a burger that you are eating at a cookout in the middle of summer that someone just pulled off the grill. The burgers are nothing extra but they taste home made. And you can't beat the location!

Dropped by here with some family while walking along Newport Beach to grab a bite to eat because we needed something fairly quick. Service was very good and friendly. The prices were extremely fair for the large burgers you get. Definitely way better than fast food and more affordable. I got a chicken sandwich and two people from my group got burgers. My sandwich was so big, I couldn't even begin to finish my fries. Flavor was good and everything tasted fresh. Oh and as someone who doesn't like pickles, I was pleasantly surprised that they offered bell pepper instead! Unique offering and I really enjoyed it on my sandwich.

Nostalgia alert: Places in rearview mirror may be worse than they appear.TK Burgers drops burgers like they're hot, because they usually are. You've been here, and if you haven't, that's sad for you because I spent a handful of '80s Balboa Peninsula days here and even more (or fewer, depending on what's true) general beach days here in the '90s. My cousin's cousin either used to own it or wanted to own it. My cousin's cousin's son (which would also make him my cousin's cousin) worked here in the '80s before his family moved to Hawai'i. I always thought that guy was going to join the Marines, and I believe he did. But before all that, he was dropping burgers like they were hot (because they usually were) at TK Burgers.I knew I needed to review this place, but I wanted to give my readers a more updated, less John S.-past-obsessed review, so I braved we'll-take-no-COVID-precautions Orange County sometime in late 2020 to grab a veggie burger to go from here. The interior of this place was terrifying during COVID. It's tiny and crammed and jumbled together, and the walls curve inwards at their approach to the ceiling, and everything just makes you claustrophobic even if you're not claustrophobic because you're convinced that every third person in Orange County has COVID, and you've spent so long avoiding it and wouldn't finally get it until December 2022. All of this, and I LOVE the interior of this place. It feels like it hasn't changed since the '80s, or the early '90s at the latest. It's perfect for normal times, but bad for pandemic times.None of that COVID talk affects my rating. The veggie burger I had was better than I was expecting, but the fries? What happened to the fries? They used to be soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good. And then I looked at the menu online later to see whether they had onion rings. They do--and they have tater tots as well--and that's when I saw that my veggie burger cost more than a hamburger, a cheeseburger, a turkey burger, and a chicken-breast sandwich! And I didn't even have an Impossible burger, which is even more expensive. How can the ingredients of the OG veggie burger cost more than ground beef, turkey, or chicken breast? They can't, which is why I'm so annoyed and why the rating isn't a fond-childhood-memories-kissed five stars. The person who took my order was nice. I think he could tell I was nervous to be inside and told me that he'd be sure to find me outside if I didn't come when called. The food didn't take too long, I was enjoyed the veggie burger as I fended off seagulls on the Newport Pier. I almost wanted to give them (the seagulls) the fries, but then I know better than to feed seagulls; they've stolen quite enough food from me on the beach over the years that we're nowhere near even (i.e., they owe me). This should be three stars, but then I think of all those fun, hopeful memories and the would-be Marine moving to Hawai'i--which seemed so sad at the time, for some reason--and four stars it is. I'm such a softy. u

Best burgers in Newport hands down. I love their onion rings as well. I have always gotten great service here and I've been going here for 15 years.

Waited about 10 minutes for a grilled chicken sandwich and fries, not too bad for being busy. Overall for the price the food was good. If you get the VEGETARIAN OPTION, the burger bun is like a honey oat of a sort with also looks good. The inside was pretty too.
