While we were in Garden Grove, we wanted to find a quick spot to eat so we decided to go to a nearby restaurant that happened to be Thuan Kieu. We walked in with a group of 6, but thankfully there was a lot of space inside so we were able to be seated immediately. The service was pretty quick, so we were able to get our order and food swiftly. For my dish, I decided to get the Com Tam hoac Bun 7 Mon which has a variety of meats like julienne pork, grilled pork, pork sausage, tofu shelled shrimp cake, and shrimp paste. I got this with the broken rice, and the meat quality here was pretty good. It all seemed to be cooked well and the flavors were all solid. If you're looking for a Vietnamese spot around Garden Grove, this restaurant is not a bad choice!

It was my first time here and i got a vermicelli bowl. This dish was so authentic - disarmingly simple spicing perfectly balanced with the crunchiness of coarsely ground peanuts/onions. So delicious! Its salty and a little sweet. Crispy, crunchy, meaty and soft. Simultaneously light and heavy. It's essentially a noodle salad with highly seasoned pork and Vietnamese flavours. I can say very refreshing to eat! Service was fast and nice. Inside looks nice!

I was craving com tam but my friends wanted to eat other dishes so we went here for the variety. I enjoyed my com tam but my friends say their food was just decent. They got the promo buy 2 get 1 (banh beo, banh hỏi, and gỏi cuon). They said the banh beo was the best of the three but even then it was just ok. I also got the che ba mau. It wasn't that good.I think I'll stick to the com tam if I were to return. Com tam isn't part of the promo FYI.

Buy 2 entrees get 1 free! Pretty good deal if you're planning to get three dishes. I feel like each dish is slightly pricey to accommodate this deal, each soup bowl or rice dish ranges between $15-18. I got the Bun Bo Hue, and was pretty satisfied, good flavor and meats were tender. Typical Vietnamese restaurant with lots of options, they also specialize in broken rice/com ram dishes.Overall a solid option, but nothing that stands out.

I was craving for com tam and remember this spot was decent the last time we had it, so decided to come here for a Friday afternoon lunch. Upon arrival, we noticed a huge yellow banner in Vietnamese advertising "Buy two entrees, get one free". When we went and looked at the menu, it was a bit deceiving because the promotion only applies to certain dishes and most of it was soup dishes. So, just FYI, it is not for all their dishes. As mentioned, I was craving their broken rice with bbq pork (com tam thit nuong) and my husband got their vermicelli noodles. Both dishes were on point, bbq pork was fresh and everything was cooked perfectly. Customer service was friendly and quick. I'm surprised they were slow for a Friday, but did notice they had a lot of take out orders. Overall, a great pick for a lunch spot and their price point is on par with inflation. Both of our dishes plus tip was approximately $35.

Hidden gem in my opinion. They're definitely known for their broken rice dishes but I decided to try their Goi Ga (Chicken Salad) which was super flavorful and my friend got one of their rice dishes. The salad had fish sauce on the side too but the salad itself was salty enough for my tastebuds. They have a deal for certain dishes like the Chicken Salad so you can order 2 entrees and get 1 free or order 1 entree and get 1 free select drink. I got the dessert drink Che Ba Mau which was sweet and perfect after the meal. Inside was pretty busy and spacious. Many dishes to choose from so worth the try!

I ordered take out and when I got home, it was the wrong food. They didn't even offer me to come back to get my correct order. Please do not come to this place, especially if you have dietary restrictions. Mixing up orderings is one thing, refusal to replace their mistake is another.

UPDATE: Stopped by to check out more items on the promo Buy 2 Get 1 Free Menu. We got the chicken salad (goi ga), mi kho dac biet, and the com ga roti (see pictures).For the goi ga, I loved it! I loved the big pieces of chicken! Most places don't do goi ga with skin and that's actually my fave part bc that's how my mom makes it. And don't forget to add the dressing! For the mi kho, this is one of my faves frm here! I recommend getting the mi (dry, with the soup on the side). Last but not least for the com ga roti, this was okay...I probably wouldn't recommend it. I will come back to try more of the promo items!
