The Taco Cart

After reading the reviews here on yelp I chose "The Taco Cart" to cater our housewarming party because they sounded amazing! Unfortunately they didn't stand up to my expectations:(The food was tasty but it wasn't cooked to order but rather pre-cooked and reheated. I envisioned a hot grill searing fresh meat served to order. My plate was cold but tasted ok.The set up was quick and professional and the service was friendly but not "authentic" or up-beat. My guests enjoyed the food but I think most of them filled up on appetizers since The Taco Cart was 45 minutes late getting to the party, and we never got an explanation of why they were late? It was nice not having any clean-up, but overall I don't feel like we got what we paid for:(I love good food and hate to give a small business a bad review but I have to be honest about our experience. Maybe they weren't having a good day.

I ordered from "The Taco Cart" for a company luncheon in Irvine. The reason I chose this company over others is because I was told the tacos are delicious! Everything was PERFECT! They came on time as scheduled.The set up was perfect and they brought everything needed. The food was AMAZING (Executives and co-workers kept saying how great everything tasted). The veggies tacos were delicious! It truly was a pleasure to work with "The Taco Cart!"I highly recommend them if you are looking for an affordable company and delicious gourmet tacos.

Our company has these guys come out frequently to thank us for our hard work. It is always a treat. The guys are super nice and friendly. The food is cooked hot and fresh..fish tacos, carnitas tacos, burritos, quesadillas, refried beans, rice and delicious chips and salsa. We are always thankful for how quickly they move the lines along (we have over 100 people) and how fun and festive these guys make the experience for us. Always a treat!

I highly recommend The Taco Cart. We had them serve a family party and we couldn't have been more pleased. They arrived on time and the presentation and taste of their food couldn't have been better... You won't go wrong we them.

This guy is unprofessional. He's not trustworthy. If you want to use him, have backup food in case he doesn't show up. He never showed up at our grandson's birthday party nor did he ever return calls after he was paid a deposit. Bad business!

Yesterday we catered a party and had The Taco Cart. They were very professional and set up in a flash. The food was A+ and the tacos were served fresh and fast. I would definitely have them again and give them five thumbs up! Thanks guys!

I used the Taco Cart back in March 2012 for my bridal shower. It was a cold rainy day and they still were able to make the day perfect. Everything you wanted and let me take leftovers with me to my husband. They are great to work with.

If i could give you ZERO stars I would. THE WORST!!! Whatever you do, DO not give this person ANY of your money!!!!!!!!! We had my Nephews 1 year birthday today, they talked to this guy on the phone, sent a deposit, called to confirm yesterday and he NEVER showed up! I called him 20 times today, texted him twice and nothing. He will never pick up your call, he will only call you back after he figures out you want to give him money. There is absolutely no excuse (short of being unconscious, or dead) why you cannot have the decency to call and let a client know you aren't showing up. We had 30 very hungry guests without any food. Not to mention it was her only child's first birthday. You should be ashamed of yourself, frauding people out of money, and not returning calls. Do your research, this guy has written reviews for himself. I don't know how you sleep at night. You disgust me.

We recently used the Taco Cart's catering this weekend (through a Spreebird deal that we purchased in March 2012). The service was great, as they showed up at the specific time that they promised. The food itself was very tasty. It was very evident that they paid attention to detail on the recipes for the seasoned beef, chicken, and black beans and rice. All were very flavorful! The garnishes (onions, limes, cilantro, salsa, pico de gallo, etc.) were all very fresh and there was enough of everything for the group that we were entertaining. Overall, if there was one piece of constructive feedback that I would give, it would be that the limes were a bit small and not as juicy as I would like, but admittedly that's being a bit nit-picky. Would definitely order from them again!

We recently utilized The Taco Cart for a work gathering at my house. Joe and Darrell came through with only a few days notice and were so easy going that they were willing to accommodate our smaller group.The food was great- I got lots of compliments from my co-workers- everyone was enjoying the hot, fresh food so much that they were eating standing up, gathered around the cart. Plus, the added bonus of barely any clean-up! I would certainly recommend The Taco Cart based off of our event!
