The Swinging Door Saloon

After many, many years of hearing about and passing this place, we finally stepped into this bar... and so glad we did! On a Sunday early afternoon, we were fortunate to land (perhaps) the last 2 remaining barstools at the bar top, which is attractively adorned with rows of pennies under glass.I like the welcoming rustic decor and spacious layout, with a few counter-height tables upon entering, and limited seating along the wall-mounted tables on a couple of the walls around their 2 pool tables.Love the fun-&-friendly locals vibe and energy! A huge plus is that their extensive menu and delicious food is that of neighboring American Grub (of which we're already fans)! Yay, a bar with great food options -- the best of both worlds! Lastly, I fully appreciate and respect a "21 and over" bar; while I love children, it's wonderful having such a dining & drinking destination for adults only. This is now our favorite casual locals bar; we'll definitely be back... very soon!

MUST BE 21+ WITH PHYSICAL* ID. They will not let you dine here without your ID. Walked in with my boyfriend and was really excited to try the food because of the reviews. I really wanted to try the breakfast burger and liked how their prices included the taxes. My boyfriend and I sat ourselves at one of the tables. The bartender who came up to us was very blunt and rude. She asked for our IDs and while my boyfriend presented his, I didn't bring my wallet. I think she could have been a lot nicer and if she knew the outcome of not having an ID, she could have been more polite. She walked up to our table with the intention of kicking us out. We didn't even get a "I'm so sorry, we can't serve you without your physical ID." Her words were "I need to see your IDs." Very stern and condescending. I have a picture of my ID on my phone, but like most places they need the real thing. Mind you, I turn 26 in a couple months, so I'll take the compliment for aging gracefully. 1 star is for the poor approach by the bartender. No thank you friend. Otherwise, please enjoy the photos of the interior. The bar is really nice and it's unfortunate I didn't get to order anything. Will have to come back when I have my ID.

Great after work Tustin bar. Atmosphere has a lot of energy, it feels good. The bartenders are active and do a good job of getting the orders out quickly. The drinks are well executed. I went with a group of 3 other people and everyone had a good time. This is a good neighborhood bar, a little loud inside. They have TV's and you can catch a sports game here also.

Stop here after dinner for my 50th bday with family. Picked a few songs that we payed for and sure enough they skipped it. Who does that? Thanks for the buzz kill. Word of advice don't skip songs that paying customers paid for.

Super fun spot in old town Tustin. Parking a slight issue if busy time but conveniently located. Reasonably priced, lots of TVs a great spot for Sunday football. Food menu is tasty and served from kitchen of spot next door. Bar staff super personable and friendly (shout out to Kaila who was great back there on Sunday), a definite recommend if in this area and looking for a relaxing drink

Great food, service and ambiance. Can't wait to go back this new year. It was a super fun night.

Good service, great prices, and friendly staff.This is a lively little dive bar located in old town Tustin brings crowds even on the week day. Their larger beer is gigantic and is such a deal! Stop by for a quick drink if you're in the neighborhood.

Not my fist time here and definitely won't be my last. Today I learned that their food comes from the pass through window with the American Grub restaurant next door! If you've never eaten there - I recommend. The ambience is adorable and rustic - same as the restaurant.Service was exceptional. Gloria was the bartender and she is quick and such a friendly gal. She kept up with EVERYONE with a smile on her face. Such a joy. Next time, I think we will eat on this side so hubby can have his Mich Uktra with food. :)

I've been coming here for years and wanted to leave a 5 star review from a regular. This place is a great place to get a drink, enjoy some delicious food, watch a game, kick back and relax in a comfortable and clean setting. They have a good jukebox and soundsystem as well. Shout out to Sergio, Lauren B, Joling, Kannitha and of course, Kim. Thanks for creating a great bar and hangout for all!

Great atmosphere, cozy little spot in Old Tustin. Great burger and cold beer!!!!Parking is tough, but once you're in, it's a great time.
