The food was yummy and classic American. The service was a little slow but only because one lady was working. She was extremely kind and still attentive with her check ins. We would recommend this place for anyone who needs a solid breakfast recommendation!

Ambiance had a diner feel with booth seating and some tables. My waitress was really nice girl. I ordered the "Turbo" Omelet and I would say that it wasn't TO DIE FOR".... But it was ok. The eggs were a bit undercooked and the meat was bland, really didn't have much of a flavor. I love my potatoes extra crispy so the potatoes were just right. I'm not really sure if I would come back here. Maybe for the waitress!

I came here yesterday with my friends, and they wanted to take me out for breakfast. The reason I want to give this place a one-star review is because of how inconsiderate the workers are. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla, which was fine, but they didn't give me a side dish, and it took forever to get an iced tea. Another table ordered the same drinks as me but with a cut lemon on top, and they were served quicker. The staff told me they were waiting for the machine syrup to process. Overall, it's clear this place is behind, and they show selective favoritism. We still tipped $20, but this place deserves a one-star review. They don't treat new customers like their regulars--seriously. Haha

Disastrous breakfast!! Not going to bother coming back here...ever!Ordered extra crispy bacon, it comes out limp as can be..."please exchange". The bacon comes back crispy, eggs are literally ice cold! Like in the fridge for our dogs! OK, let's try the pancakes....so cold the butter just sits there...WTH is going on here? It didn't used to be like this. Too many choices, so we'll move on. Oh and their prices have been raised VERY much...bummer...1 star is too many for this place!!

Pleasantly surprised, considering a lot of the reviews. They have a nice spacious patio. The server was nice and attentive and even brought our dog a water bowl. The A-Fib was pretty good, definitely a must try. It comes with 2 eggs on top and hash browns (didn't see those mentioned on the menu). The apple flaky french toast was good, too. The veggie omelette was ordered by someone else in our party who said it was just 'ok'.

My wife and I came to the Potholder in Los Alamitos this morning. My wife got a notice from Yelp and decided to try it. We chose to sit inside booth seating, but they also have a lot of outdoor seating if you prefer to be outside? I ordered the Frankie Special: 2 eggs, 2 french toast or 2 pancakes, with 2 sausage or 2 bacon. I opted for an upgrade to the waffle for a slight up charge. I chose the sausage and had my eggs scrambled. The eggs were fluffy and the sausage was cooked perfectly with a good flavor. I ordered a side of salsa for my eggs. The Salsa is homemade. None of that bottled stuff. Good flavor and not too hot. The waffle was good,but I prefer it to be a bit crisper. They put cinnamon in their batter and had a good flavor. Next time I will ask it to be cooked crisper.My Wife had the chorizo scramble real chorizo which she really enjoyed. The egg to chorizo ratio was very good. The corn tortillas were very good.They were very fast with the coffee refills. We had the fresh orange juice, it was delicious.Our server Faus gave great service . We will be back soon

This is a family restaurant that is very friendly and safe environment. The restaurant has delicious breakfast especially the omelette and pancakes. The staffs are very attentive and helpful. I totally recommend this to anyone who likes eating breakfast.

We have made this our usual brunch spot after playing basketball on Sunday mornings. Our group ranges from 6-8 people and we prefer to dine in their outdoor patio. We have always gotten quick service and the staff is always friendly. That's one of the reasons we keep going back. The menu has so many choices but a lot of us have our favorites. I've been trying to order something new each visit and have not been disappointed. This week I will highlight 3 that were ordered and thoroughly enjoyed.Not many places have squaw bread so I was happy to get it here. The portion is pretty generous so half of my meal went home with me. A few weeks back I tried their stuffed French toast with cream cheese and I have to say it was good but pretty rich. So if you are craving a sweeter breakfast, the French toast and pancakes are also good.

This hidden gem was the perfect stop for a late breakfast! The dog friendly patio was what I needed since I had my fur baby with me as we had several places to go to that day. The food and coffee was delicious. I would have stayed longer but I got there right before closing and the flies were a little annoying. I will definitely be back with my sister as we love a good family cafe!
