Closed except for online purchases. Lounge area closed. Hopefully they will reopen in the near future. I've got wine machine dispenser cards.

What happened to this place? Last time I was there they were not open. When I called they said they were "temporarily" closed except for wine storage customers to access their lockers. Anyone have updates? Hope no issues with liquor license...

I've been looking for this one particular liqueur: Grand Poppy Liqueur. Not a lot of places carry it. And you can order it online but delivery would cost you a pretty penny. I discovered this play when I searched for this liqueur on Google. A few places popped up... in New York or San Diego. I didn't realize this stuff can only be found at select places. I'm from the Bay Area and it was tough to find it there. Well, I happen to be here in Orange County and The Original Wine Club popped up. They had what I was looking for online but I thought I'd give them a call - just to be sure. The person who answered the phone was very nice. He patiently looked and then let me know he had 2 bottles. I told him I would be coming from Corona and he said he'd have them for me whenever I got there. It took me about 30 min. Lots of parking. Big space full of bottles and lots of different types of liquor and wine. A man greeted me and I said "I'm the one who called about Grand Poppy."He walked me directly to the bottles. He was super friendly and kind. He knew his stuff that's for sure. Definitely come and stop here, especially if you're on the hunt for specialty items that you can't find at your local grocery store, Total Wine or BevMo.

So many HAPPY memories!!! I used to stop by when it was closer to McFadden Ave at the old location. In those days Brian and Jeff where around. They usually have the "loveliest staff" to the ULTRA SELECTION. It used to be the best wine selection and tasting in the area. Sign up for the emails to get notifications of upcoming wine tastings. Recent years they have acquired a great selection of bourbon. Great selection on over all red wine. Great random sales. Lots of parking just be aware that a cop (sometimes) sits waiting near the 55 fwy. So lyft or uber. Big locker room to age your wine especially if you are a wine snob. The only draw back is they close at 7 PMGreat big clean restrooms all the way to the back.

Oh my gosh this place is amazing if you're a wine lover. They have everything imaginable when it comes to wine, and even a wine tasting section in the back. Not only is their selection phenomenal, but their prices are fantastic as well. The service here is also top notch. They really know their wine and gave us some great recommendations!

Never experienced such bad service before. I enter the store 12 mins before closing time and the sales clerk named Jonathan Ceballos was eagerly already to throw me out the store. Was coming in for a good 4 bottle pick up for the week but i couldn't even shop with the constant nagging of "we're closing soon" "please finish up" I understand if it was 7:01pm and I was still in the store undecided but 12-10 mins before? This employee failed on the most basic level of customer service.

Amazing selection and their staff is very knowledgeable. On average their prices are $5-$10 lower than BevMo and total wine. I would high recommend

There's only a couple alcoholic drinks I will drink so this review is really based on the place itself and the service. My friends invited me for beer tasting and I wanted to try it out and get a nice buzz. There's plenty of parking and it's located next to Sender One, which is a rock climbing facility. Climbing some rocks and tasting some beer sounds like a great combination. Inside are rows and rows of alcohol. You really have to know what you're looking for otherwise you're just looking at a bunch of bottles in a warehouse-like setting. After we paid we headed towards the back where they have a lounge set up for beer and wine tasting. The comfy couch could put you to sleep after a couple glasses of wine. They provide snacks like peanuts and chips and salsa. The guy pouring our drinks was really nice. Overall the crew is really nice. So after the beer tasting, there was only 2 beers I liked out of the 12. Of course my taste palette is not accustomed to a lot beers out there. My friends did like more of them than me. Mango Magnifico was good. 4/5 stars! Seems like a great place to lounge and hangout with friends. I could come back to this place.

A friend sent me a gift via The Original Wine Club. I very much appreciate her thoughtfulness but the liquor (21 Seeds Cucumber Jalapeno Tequila) was awful! I called The Original Wine Club, asking if I could return this horrid beverage and the answer was, "Katie Couric and Oprah Winfrey LOVE it! So...no, we can't help you." They wouldn't even give me the addresses of Katie Couric or Oprah Winfrey! I won't use them for my friends.

Cluttered inventory in open top boxes scattered around a warehouse sized room. Good mix of California and European wines, but it's a real tiresome job to find anything since the labeling and organization is poorly done and inconsistent. Some of the more expensive wines are in a small gated room off to one side. If you go in there be careful since the space is very crowded and it would be easy to knock a bottle over. They have a large tasting area at the back of the store and a few of those big stainless steel tasting dispensers which require a card. The last time I was in they had mostly wines from one maker that I had never heard of and after tasting a couple of their wines I couldn't get excited about. Save your time and go to Hi-Time in Newport Beach.
