If you're chasing ambiance, Thai Palace isn't your stop. A nondescript strip mall, generic tables, and patio furniture that feels like an afterthought. But here's the thing--none of that matters once the food hits the table. The General Kai soup is a bold opener, the curries are soulful and unapologetic, and the lunch menu is priced like they're doing you a favor.The patio--four tables, maybe half with umbrellas--is where you'll want to settle if the weather's kind. Inside? Forget it. The owners clearly pour every ounce of care into the kitchen, not the decor, and judging by the constant stream of takeout bags, that's working just fine for them. So, come for the food, skip the frills, and savor a meal that proves flavor always wins over furnishings.

I'm obsessed with the green curry! I always order it with steamed tofu. I also like the fried rice with chicken or the pad thai. I've ordered food to go here for years, and the quality is great and they have never messed up my order. Highly recommend!

If you want to have lunch and feel like a king or queen, then Thai Palace in San Clemente is the place to go. This is one of two locations in San Clemente and this location provides you with the comfort to sit indoors or outside with personalized attention and the ability to customize the dish to your liking in terms of adding extra vegetables spicy not spicy extra sauce, extra rice whatever you want they will treat you like royalty at Thai Palace. there may be a trendy new Mexican place across the street or a place that sells raw fish in a bowl but this is always my go to place anytime I'm hungry for lunch by Laapata and pico in San Clemente..

Love this place. Food is always good. Ordered maybe the most random thing on the menu tonight... Ravioli. I searched reviews and couldn't find anything about it. For anyone else wondering. It's just cheese ravioli in a curry sauce. Weird but ok. Probably won't get it again but this place makes good food.
