Stuffed Crab Claws: Pretty but disappointing Salt water puffs (haam seui gok) excellent
Shrimp bonnets a little dry, but adequate. I would pass on the siu mai, dryish. Tofu skins quite delicious! Chicken feet very good.

Tan Kimsu has the most consistently delicious dim sum selection that I've ever had and it is always a great experience when I come here! The inside has a large and open seating arrangement with a lot of tables and a small stage area for group events. Since it is a dim sum restaurant, there are carts coming around on a constant cycle with attendants and waiters also available for made to order entrees or a la carte orders. The service is fast, easy and the staff are very helpful and attentive. The variety of food is a delight! I come here with a group of people and we all have our different go to orders. My favorites are the fried rice, honey walnut shrimp, dumplings and shumai! I don't usually drink tea but I love the tea here! I also hear great things about the other food items my group gets as well. I'd say there's something for everyone here if they're a fan of Chinese food in general! My experience is so enjoyable and tasty every time I come here! I'd recommend it a try for sure!

Came on a Friday morning and we were seated immediately. They had some dim sum carts to choose from.We ordered shu mai, har gow, shrimp shu mai, black bean spareribs, taro balls, Chinese broccoli, & chicken feet. They were on the smaller side, yet delicious. The restaurant decor was simple and elegant. The wait staff was attentive.

man... this dim sum place used to be so much better before, but now, they just suck. i have no idea what happened, but my family and i used to go here all the time until we got BAD/rotten shrimp dumplings... they gave us a refund on that and also offered to give us more shrimp dumplings, but we decided to pass on it.. this was maybe 2 years ago, and we were really craving dim sum today... only to be disappointed.their old aesthetic was replaced by a shiny, palace-like, all white, modern look but ultimately lost the heart that the old style had. food was so mid. calamari was cold and soggy when we got it, so we had to ask for them to refry it. they did refry it, but my family did NOT like it and said it tastes bland. for emphasis, my mom thinks everything tastes good, so that's kinda how you know you fu... shu mai was alright. chicken feet was not good... also, we were charged for tea which is kinda sad but i guess it's how businesses are run these days.we are unfortunately never going here again...

My family's go to dim sum place. They still push around dim sum carts so you can see all the options and choose. Staff are always so friendly and attentive. Seating is always quick and they have tables for large parties. Dim sum staple orders: xiu mai, har gow, bbq pork buns, shrimp rolls, and their fried tofu is an absolute must here.

Food was delicious. We dined here for lunch after my church wedding ceremony for two round tables. The Lobster with noodles was a hit, as always. Alongside with a few other dishes, sea cucumbers, soup, stir fry, etc. The downside to it all was the amount of MSG in every dish.... my whole family drank a whole lake of water when we got home... no bueno.

Tan Kimsu remains the premier destination for exquisite homemade-style Dim Sum and succulent lobster. Although prices appear to be increasing, the service and ambiance consistently excel. A notable mention goes to Danny, our server for over 20 years. #shoutout

Whats better than cart ladies yelling at you with the items they have haha. Kim su has a special place in my heart, been here for many years. Their whole remodel was really nice and resembles a familiar look for a dim sum restaurant.Besides the usual dim sum items, I highly recommend their sweet and sour soup, lobster with garlic noodles, and crab fried rice here! All staples I get whenever I come to Kim Su.

I don't know what was going on but we only had 1 cart came by. We waited for more cart, they passed us, not even going toward our direction. Only the 1st cart kept coming by. We had no more food to eat, just waiting. When i saw the cart with coconut shrimp, i said hey hey loudly while waiving my hand for her to come to us. I'm happy that we got the last walnut shrimp but I need to called her out to our direction and she passed by 3 times!

Was looking forward to dim sum. Heard about Tan Kimsu from a friend. They have a parking lot in front of the restaurant. We came after the Sunday lunch rush, which was perfect. We were seated at a table that didn't even have enough plates, cups and chopsticks for our group of 3. We started ordering but there was a language barrier when we asked questions about the filling of the bun. We ordered congee and asked for extra bowls but they didn't give us spoons, when we clearly wanted to share it.Overall, the food was just ok. It did not hit the mark for us. The restaurant is spacious and is bright and looks clean but I don't think we would go back.
