Tamales Mireya

I was never a fan of tamales because for me it was dry and flavorless. Only until I found this place that I'd realize I've been eating bad tamales all my life . These are so moist and so flavorful. I was only looking for a tamales place because my husband need to bring some to work but I'm so glad to have found this place. My favorite is the pork one with red sauce, it's so flavorful I'm having withdrawal The owner was also so nice and friendly. He threw in a free dessert for us, I think it was pineapple flavor. Parking is easy since it's right next to a huge lot. Can't wait to come back and try the ones wrapped in banana leaves, they didn't have those last time.

My family and I came here for the first time and WOW the tamales were soo good. The masa to meat ratio was perfect and the tamales were SO moist. We tried the chicken and green sauce, the pork banana leaf, jalepeno and cheese, and strawberry tamale. We loved all of it but my fav was definitely the chicken w green sauce. Everything tasted so fresh w amazing flavor! We also had their hot chocolate and horchata w the fruit!! Both were delicious. My kids were very happy lol. We're honestly so impressed and the customer service is amazing! We also pre ordered 2 dozen tamales for Christmas Eve!! Can't wait to come back!! Would definitely recommend!

Randomly found this spot when I was charging my Tesla. I was hesitant at first because of the location but man !!! NEVER JUDGE THE BOOK BY IT COVER . I don't know much about tamales so I just ask which one is best seller. He recommended the jalapeno and cheese and chicken and green sauce. I also got the mole one. All three were AMAZING ! Must get it with sour cream and cheese !! Tameles were moist not dry, meat is tender and flavorful. 10/10 would recommended

Food is like abuelita is en casa cooking, and Christmas came early. Service is quick even if there are long lines. Believe me it's worth it! Food truck is usually on Harbor Blvd in the shopping center with TasteTea and T-Mobile and are usually there Tuesdays, Tuesdays & Sunday. Very efficient hustle and friendly atmosphere!! All payments and online orders accepted!!

Omg !! I just tried them yesterday and they're the best tamales you can find in Orange County!!! They're delicious and great quality! If you're looking for quality and authentic flavor and super yummy they're the best !!! I ordered one of each flavor and I was very impressed and super happy that I stopped by and tried them! Their water orchata very good, their rice pudding omg remind me my grandma so is that good! I highly recommend them and I will be back on Sunday for sure!

Super impressed!While waiting for the EV to charge, there was a faint savory smell of something delicious in the air. Walking a bit and we discovered a tamale truck & ordered the simple Chicken with Green Salsa.The masa was absolutely amazing in the softness/fluffiness, and chicken was super tender + tasty.Definitely would love to come back to try more, I guess I'll have to charge my car more often!

You'll be hard pressed to find better tamales behind the Orange Curtain. Quality ingredients and excellent service, I highly recommend them!!!

Amazing!! I've been looking for good tamales in OC and finally found some.I texted them to place an order the night before. I will definitely be coming back here for more. My favorite was the pollo en salsa verde.

Every year during Christmas I order over 130 tamales to pass out to my neighbors and they all go crazy for them! One time we had a tamale party where we all agreed the tamales I brought mine from "Mireya Tamales" and they were the best compared to the rest! They are so damn good that every time I try to eat tamales elsewhere, Im disappointed and they can never compare to my home made tamales made by Mrs. Mireya. They are in Garden Grove and you can call ahead if you want to put in a big order. They accept Zelle or Cash. They are there Tuesdays, Thursdays (4-8pm) and Sundays (8am-12 noon). While you are there, you must try the Arroz Con Leche or Champurado! Hits the right spot when you eat your tamales. My personal favorite is the green chili chicken!! Then the pork with red sauce and then the jalapeño with cheese. I don't like spicy. But my family LOVE the jalapeño and cheese that like spicy food. They now added a new tamale to the list. The Mole with Chicken! OMG that sounds so good but I was told that's the first one that sells out so I need to go back earlier when they open so I can try them. I don't care what city you are in.... IT'S WORTH THE DRIVE TO GO THERE WHEN THEY ARE THERE! And if you need any other day, call them direct and you can pick up from them. I usually pick up at their house in Buena Park. YOU WILL BE RUINED AFTER YOU EAT THESE TAMALES AS ALL THE REST WILL NOT COMPETE! She uses quality masa, quality meat and stuffs the tamales with meat! The masa is not the greasy kind that usually gross me out. These are honestly the BEST TAMALES YOU WILL EVER HAVE! Just Google the address 12791 Bustos St., Garden Grove, Ca 92840. They are there Tuesdays, Thursdays nights and Sunday mornings till noon. The truck is parked on the street. There are two trucks parked next to each other. You can't miss it. It's $33 a dozen. You might as well buy two dozen to save yourself a trip. They can be frozen.

OMG! I gotta say these tamales are the best I've tried in a very long time. Ole P. Review is what sold me on trying them. I was going to get a dozen of pork or maybe try one to see if I like them. But when I got there, I saw the line and people waiting for their order. I got 1 dozen pork, 1/2 of cheese, & X-large Horchata. WOW, tamales are amazing: perfect taste, spicy, masa, and amount of meat. I should have gotten 2 dozen of pork, a dozen of cheese, & a dozen of mole. Definitely will be letting family & friends know about this spot.
