Took 15+ mins to get 3 tacos made and we were the only ones there. None of the tacos were that flavorful so nothing to write home about. Just ok, would not make a special trek out to this food truck again.

I got two tacos de asada and one taco Al pastor. The asada was okay but the pastor was better!! The service was good and they were very friendly. The green salsa was really spicy watch out! Overall I recommend.

Came here the other day because I am lazy to cook and "trying to save money for wedding" so tacos fit the bill! For $16 bucks (they accept card+cash), I got 4 tacos and 1 quesadilla. Compared to other taco places, the quantity of meat seemed to be a bit less than others, but I was happy with the food nonetheless.Cabezareally good!! nice and tender. prolly my fav in the area. Tastes like more than just meat lol Al pastoridk cuz my fiance ate it all. he said he didn't like it (he was just hungry)Pollopretty standard, wouldn't get it again as nothing about it really stood out. Trying chicken is nice cuz sometimes you don't feel porky/beefy/want something lighter!Tripasi did ask for extra crispy, but maybe the chef forgot. but this was a little on the gamey side, but nothing incredibly offensive. i liked the flavor and though it wasn't as clean as other places, id still get it again. My fav is still a truck in the neighborhood (super clean), but this was way better than tacos pronto (crispy, but not flavored well and just felt like eating meat)Carne asada quesadilla normally i ask for light cheese, but forgot.. this was a bit on tbe oily side. size wasn't too huge, the carne asada was better than others, but it wasn't dry. My fav carne asada is in sd, so hard to compare lol but this was enjoyable maybe cuz the cheese. Servicewas friendly! came with grilled onions and dangerous habanero lolSaucesweren't bad. the avocado one isnt my fav, but the limey green one tickles my fancy more. the red sauce was smokey. They did add to the flavor of the tacos, but the meats themselves shined more than the sauces

Best OC taco truck hands down, a true hidden gem. Tacos El Catrin has been really consistent with their quality of food and service. My favorite is the Al pastor, Cabeza, carne asada, and tripa. The Al pastor taco is super flavorful, ask for a side of pineapple on the taco. A must get.The cabeza taco is tender and rich, melts right in your mouth. The carne asada taco is really beefy with a good bite to it. My favorite is the tripa taco. I always get the tripa here because not many places serve good tripa. Tip: Ask them to make the tripa extra crispy, you won't regret it.Tacos El Catrin is a true hidden gem. I've been trying to explore new taco spots, but I always come back to Tacos El Catrin.Bonus Tip: they do accept both cash and card, but cash is king(hint: cheaper).

As good as it gets authentic street tacos especially tacos de cabeza y chorizo. Excellent creamy green salsa, taco Tuesday specials and strawberry horchata are the main reasons to come here.

Little hidden gem. Santa Ana is home to many taco trucks but this one is one of my new favorites. I'm here almost weekly and it never disappoints. Food comes out a bit slower than other trucks but I don't mind because it's served fresh and hot (call me crazy but I'm very particular about tacos being piping hot in temperature because that's what makes it taste best). Service is always good and all 3 of their salsas are yummy. I like mixing the green and avocado salsa. Shrimp taco: 4/5 I really like it but it's definitely something I like to share with another person because it's on the heavier side (comes with melted cheese)Tripa: 5/5 my all time favorite taco is a tripa taco and if it's not extra crispy it's not for me. El Catrin makes BOMB TRIPAS. I always ask for it extra crispy and it never disappoints. Cabeza: 5/5 it's fatty and delicious Carne asada: 5/5 amazing. I usually don't order carne asada at most taco spots because not that many places get it right. But the quality of beef they use for the carne asada is great here. Has the perfect amount of fat and isn't cut up too small. I like how they season and chop it hereAl pastor: 5/5 this is one of my go-to's. Always ask them to add pineapple. Their al pastor has the best seasoning and is cooked perfectly

I'm gonna be honest, I grubhubbed the chorizo tacos and I was pretty disappointed. The taco had no flavor. The tortilla had more flavor than the chorizo did. The tortilla, cilantro and onions were good but the chorizo was just too bland. It wasn't dry, it just didn't taste like anything so it tasted like I was eating plain tortillas. The service and packaging for Togo was good but I wouldn't eat here again. Stinks that it was like $2.75 per taco too.

TLDR: Good tacos and nice people serving. Just a lot of other good taco options in this area. This is a perfectly good, but not amazing taco stand and nice for a quick snack. The person that I interacted with at the truck was very nice. For me, the sauces didn't pack much of a kick, but I am a fan of tongue-burning spice. The flavor of the meat was pretty good, but not standout. We got the suadero, asada, pollo, chorizo and Al pastor. The tortillas were very run-of-the-mill, but not stale for example. The pollo was a little dry and seemed like it was reheated. Would stop by for a quick snack from these nice people, but wouldn't go out of my way to come back. (Of note, I didn't try their strawberry horchata, but as of now, believe that I was told that it's only sever on Tuesdays and Thursdays.)
