Last date night before the new year with my bf! We've seen this spot all over social media, so we wanted to try this place out.Parking: They have a compact parking lot, so finding a spot can either be a hit or miss.Ambiance/Environment: Such a fun spot to hangout with friends, play games, or simply enjoy drinks and food! They have plenty of indoor seating. No outdoor seating. It is dark inside with neon decor everywhere. They also have a photo booth and fun games. Service: There were only a couple workers that night. We didn't catch their names, but they were quick and efficient.Menu items:1) Bubble Smoke High Ball - I mainly came for the drinks lol! They're popularly known for their fun cocktails. I chose margarita. The bubble actually held while I took a video lol. If you're a lightweight, then this drink is perfect for you. It tasted like sprite with a hint of alcohol.2) Watermelon Popsicle Cocktail Soju - Now this drink was littt (literally). It came with a big watermelon popsicle and a lit rubber ducky. It's sweet yet strong! (I initially ordered the Watermelon Punch, but it was out of season)3) Volcano Beef Belly Stir Fried - Wow! They were not joking with the volcano part. This came with a generous amount of toppings and beef belly on an actual mini stir fry. The sauce was flavorful & spicyyy. Make sure to mix everything once it starts to heat up!4) Giant Chicken Tender with French fries & salad - Emphasis on giant. As good as it looks, the tenders were unfortunately too salty and chewy. The fries, salad, and sauces were delicious though. 5) Monster French Fries w/ Bulgogi - These were my favorite! There was a generous amount of meat, sauces, & toppings. Make sure to mix everything well!6) Ramen - These tasted as expected. It was also spicyyy. It may seem small, but don't underestimate its size.Activities: We played some board games and took photos. If you want to play any table games, you'd have to leave your ID with one of the workers. Free to play!Pricing: Everything was worth it! The vibes, cocktails, and food were amazing! Other than the chicken tenders, we'll be back for everything else!

Drink like a Whale and Eat a Volcano at Sulgorae in Norwalk, CaliforniaWe came to @sulgorae.sojubar for their refreshing Whole Watermelon Soju, which consists of fresh watermelon juice (the perfect summer flavor), Soju, and Sprite to sweeten and fizz up your cocktail. What we didn't expect was to be blown away by their variety of food options, from fried bar bites to comforting entrees and everywhere in between. Their KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) was served hot (temperature) from the kitchen with the skin in perfect crispiness and meat so juicy. But the real star of the meal was their Volcano Beef Stirfry- you know it's the dish to get when you see it served to every table! Be warned: the spice level is no joke here. We ordered with a level 1 out of 4 spice and that was perfect amount for me (and I can handle )We had: Whole Watermelon Soju, Soy Garlic Chicken Wings & Fries, Volcano Beef Stirfry

This is the perfect spot for late nights and weekends with your friends! Sulgorae is a vibrant soju bar with neon signs and pink floral decor on the ceilings. They have so many soju options and other fun drinks like their bubble soju highball. And they have your favorite Korean classics like fried chicken, rosé pasta, and cheese corn. Their chicken skin fries are a must!

My friend and I had a great time here at Sulgorae. It's super cute inside and our server was great. The fried pork belly with Korean spicy noodles was delicious. They have a great happy hour. The asado plate was not very good but the fried pork belly made up for it. Our server even ended up giving us soju on the house. This is now one of our fave local dining spots!

I been here twice now and I wanted to hold back from writing this because it is just that good. Best wings I have ever had. Everything on the menu is soo good and I am glad it's close by but hands down the best wings in the whole area. No one compares they are crispy, tender and full of flavor. Excited to order some later today

I've been seeing this gorgeous soju bar all over my feed and since I'm a fan of Korean bar food, I knew it was about time to check it out. I came on a Thursday evening around 7:30pm and there were already a couple of tables that were full. They have a small secluded room from the main area that is used for private/booked events so I thought that was pretty cool. The interior is adorned with pretty pink flowers on the ceiling and they have a lot of neon light signage that is great for photo opps. They had a couple of unique items on their menu that are a crowd favorite which are the Volcano Beef and the Fried Baby Back Ribs which I also highly recommend. I definitely want to come back with a larger group the next time to try out more dishes.|| P A R K I N G / L O C A T I O N ||-Cross Streets are Pioneer Blvd and 166th St., fairly close to the 91 freeway-Located in the same plaza as Ozen Sushi and Luxor Music Studio.-Parking lot gets pretty full. We were lucky to find parking in front of the establishment on a Thursday evening around 7:30pm.|| F O O D / D R I N K S ||Volcano Beef ($36.99) - I've never seen anything like this before! Note that it does take a while to cook so make sure you order other foods while you wait for this. If you can't handle too much spiciness, definitely let them know so they can adjust the spiciness accordingly. The bean sprouts definitely helped alleviate the spiciness for me and it made the dish quite refreshing. Perfect for sharing!Fried Baby Back Ribs ($24.99) - I don't know whose genius idea it was to fry the baby back ribs, but it's soooo good! I opted for the sweet version and it was chef's kiss. The ribs were juicy and the sauce was marinated well with the meat. I don't remember if it comes with 5 or 6 ribs but I definitely recommend ordering this for your group.6pcs Soy Garlic Chicken Wings ($10.99) - I didn't know it came with seasoned fries as well, but I wasn't complaining! The soy garlic marinade on the chicken wings was pretty flavorful. Not bad if you're craving for some Korean fried chicken.Fried Pork Belly with Kimchi ($27.99) - you gotta get this if you love pork belly. The fact that they fry the pork belly gives it a crispy texture and pairs so well with the kimchi. The kimchi definitely helps makes it taste less greasy. This was good but didn't stand out as much compared to the fried baby back ribs or the volcano beef. Mango Soju Slushy ($12.99) - I definitely tasted more alcohol in this compared to the other cocktail that I ordered. They also have this in strawberry, peach and mango flavors. Would be cool if they allowed a mixture of two flavors. I'm honestly loving the idea of mango soju slushies and some of the Korean bar spots that I go to don't have this on the menu yet. It's like having a Fat Tuesday from Vegas but it's at your local Korean Bar and it uses Korean alcohol instead.Strawberry Smoke Highball ($9.99) - If you're into aesthetic cool looking drinks, then you definitely have to order at least one and get your camera ready when they bring out the bubble gun. It also comes in Peach, Mango, Pina Colada and Margarita flavor. I would definitely recommend to let your server know if you want them to do that at your table, otherwise I think they'll just make the bubble at the bar and bring it to your table. I didn't taste as much alcohol in this, so I'm not sure if it's because it's masked well or they don't use as much. Either way, if you're looking for something tasty and smooth, this is your drink!

Great place to come on a night to chill and hangout at a bar. You can't go wrong ordering any of the dishes and portions sizes are meant for groups! The kitchen did an excellent job cooking these. Happy hour 20% was a nice bonus, if you follow their Instagram page they have events occurring on certain nights after their happy hour.Parking: There's a medium size parking in the plaza and a back parking lot connected and located a little bit more in the back. You can come in through the front and the back door. Spicy Rice Cake: It's a manageable spice for spice lovers. The rice cake was perfectly chewy and the portion should be shared with a group. It comes in a medium size pan with one boiled egg and sliced fish cake.Chicken Wing (6 pieces, sweet and spicy): Chicken wings were sauced and exterior was so crispy! Would highly recommend to order this dish. Spam Mayo Rice Balls: Comes nice and warm, they provide gloves for you to mix the rice up and roll the rice together. Bubble Smoke Highball: Has one shot of alcohol and rest is juice. They staff basically has a tool to blow up a smoke ball and place on top of your drink. If you want to watch it blown up sit directed right at the bar.

This was such a fun and fulfilling experience. Cool vibes and music playing, nice neon signs up and lots of seating with booths and tables. Service was great thanks to Lea! She was so helpful with suggesting different foods to try. The food itself was delicious... crispy chicken wings with fries and salad, rice cakes and fish balls, and bulgogi fries. We opted for the watermelon soju without the soju.. I know... but the watermelon was still so refreshing. I would definitely come back! Thank you Sulgorae for this experience!
