Simply Pho

This is a pretty average Vietnamese place. Typical casual vibe. Service was great. We were seated and had our orders taken quite quickly. Food came out fast and hot. They gave us free dessert after as well.The food itself wasn't special. The pho soup was fine, but the toppings were a little sparse. The chicken and veggie stir fry I got was okay, but the sauce wasn't mixed that well.Overall, a decent spot to get a quick bite, but not one I'd crave.

TLDR; decent large bowl of pho, fast serviceThis place is close to the UCI Medical Center, making it convenient to grab a bite if you are there (and don't want cafeteria food). Setting was quiet and the restaurant is fairly clean. Food came fast and the quantity was good. I got the XL pho dac biet; the tendon was very soft, and the beef slices were fresh. Lots of noodles. The pho broth base was just ok though. Decent price as well, given that it is close to the hospital and the quantity given. They also have a complementary dessert!

I came here for dinner with my date since we were in the area.Upon entering, the restaurant is very spacious, and there were a lot of tables, boots, and even a bar style seating area.The server seated us, and we took a look at the menu. The menu has a variety of foods to choose from such as appetizers, pho, vermicelli and meat, and even rice dishes. Me and my date ordered spring roll to share, and my date ordered pho, and I ordered the vermicelli with pork. The pho came out first, then the spring rolls, and then it took a while for my vermicelli and pork plate to come out, which is understandable because it takes time to cook the meat.As I was waiting, I had some of my dates soup, and it was very flavorful. I even got my vermicelli and meat as I was eating my food, I was not satisfied with the pork as majority of the meat was all fat and hard to chew/bite. I should've returned it, but I just ate what I could and took the rest home. The spring roll was good, but as you continue eating it, the rice paper tends to get dry and hard, which makes it chewy.I would come back here if I was ever in the area, but I'm sure I could find better. Maybe I just didn't order the right food.

After a long day shopping in the OC we were hungry. Glad we found Simply Pho on Yelp. Our navigation had us cutting through a CVS parking lot to an area outside with less hustle and bustle so we thought. The restaurant was loud and the ate inside crisp. A good combo of families, couples on dates of all ethnicities joyously enjoying their food. Our server was prompt, and based on other people's reviews I decided to try Pho Seafood- the broth was fragrant And the portion of noodles perfect. V got the taste steak combo... I do not remember the second meat. We also split fried tofu. V also got a Thai Iced Tea. We were both pleasantly surprised it was not made with the fluorescent jug of goop found at smart and final. V said his broth was easily top 10 of all the broths we have had so that's a good sign. It was all good.

This place has amazing, tasty traditional pho! There are many in the area, but this one doesn't disappoint. I usually either get the brisket pho or the chicken pho, and it hits the spot. Another favorite thing of mine here is the veggie egg rolls. They are served with lettuce that gives it that extra crunch, and you can't forget about the delicious fish sauce. Service can be slow, but it is a busy location, so just be ready for that. One complaint I do have is the salmon. On the menu it said seared salmon, so I ordered it. But when it came out, it looked fried, so I asked the server, and she said that they do in fact fry it, but I told her on the menu it doesn't say that. They also have a poster in front of the restaurant that says pan-seared salmon. Besides that, the salmon was ok, but they should definitely fix that error.

We came for an early dinner on a weekday and were seated immediately. They bring you iced water right away without even having to be asked.We tried the pork spring rolls, vermicelli bowl, and meatball pho.We thought all of them were done well. The service is fast and they even offer free dessert with your meal.

First off, we went in yesterday 1/8/25 for lunch and i was not disappointed! We put our names on the guest list that is on the table to the right when you enter. We waited about 5 minutes. It gets very busy, so make sure you go at a decent time. I ordered the oxtail soup and my boo got the braised beef. I ordered shrimp and pork balls on the side, my shrimp came out but not my pork balls :(. Its okay, everything was super tasty and everything was delicious. The service was okay, I wish they were a bit more attentive to us, when calling, I had to waive down a few times for refills and the bill. Overall THE FOOD WAS THE BEST!! dont skip out on their eggrolls, they are amazing!!!

I get that the sign says understaffed but 20+ mins for spring rolls when tables that seated after us got their fried appetizers isn't great. Server said it came with pickled veggies inside but there were zero when we got our food. Waaay too many noodles that fill up the bowl. My tofu pho has one 4 small cubes, a TON of noodles and then the veggies. Asked for lime and our server came back with a bowl of lemons. They don't have lime. Our server wasn't good. Not friendly, lacked knowledge, slow. The server that brought our food was great though! Sincere, quick, communicative. Only good thing about this place was the tapioca

Amazing food and even better service! I can't believe this place was right under my nose the whole time. This is officially my new go-to pho spot--and I'm from Irvine, where I'll gladly pass at least ten other places just to get here. Totally worth it!
