Scratch Bakery Cafe

I stopped by Scratch in the afternoon for a quick bite. The place was packed, so there was a bit of a wait to place my order. I went with an iced latte and the Grilled Tuna Melt. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which was a plus. The sandwich comes with a side, but if you want fries, it's an extra $2.Since it was so busy, there was some confusion about the line. Standing near the tables where people were eating felt a little awkward, especially as we tried to stay out of the way while making it clear we weren't in line anymore.The Grilled Tuna Melt was fantastic--crispy on the outside and packed with flavor from the mayo, tuna, and gooey melted cheese. The iced latte, however, was underwhelming. That said, I'd definitely come back to try more sandwiches. I also couldn't help but notice the cinnamon twist in the display case--it looked delicious and is on my list for next time!

Came to Scratch for an early morning breakfast. Chose one of their breakfast sandwiches, which are served on their house-baked English muffins. It was like eating a better version of McDonald's McMuffins. I don't feel great after eating McDonald's, but the sausage breakfast sandwich from Scratch was not greasy or heavy at all. Their English muffins are very light, soft and fluffy. They were so good that I bought a bag of muffins to bring home! Indoor and outdoor seating available.

I'm so glad I tried this place. I had been craving a good breakfast burrito and luckily the menu options at this restaurant are wide enough to satisfy. I ordered one with sausage, eggs and cheese and was not disappointed! The tortilla is soft, ingredients are fresh and the salsa was AMAZING. I don't handle spicy/hot very well (usually going for mild) and the salsa that came with the burrito had a burst of flavor but just enough heat to not make my throat burn but still made my nose run a little. So so good.I also ordered a hot white mocha which was good (kind of hard to mess up coffee). Service was pretty fast considering they were crowded on a saturday morning (every table was taken). As for the ambiance, it was pretty loud inside because it was crowded but there's a small outdoor space and even tables out across the way by the fountain that you can sit at.I will definitely be back now that I know this place is here!!

Their breakfast is great but everything else I recommend you pray before you try anything else. Too much going on and not enough space but he Knock Knock is actually worth the money.

Finally convinced my wife to join me. She liked both the bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich as well as the ham and cheese breakfast sandwich. However next time she'd like to try it with double ham. She loves the hash brown patty as do I. We learned that the breakfast burrito comes with that hash brown patty inside. We'll have to try that next time.

I have to say, I'm absolutely hooked! This charming little bakery has so much to offer, but the real star of the show is the English muffins--soft, fluffy, and nothing like the traditional kind. My son can't get enough of them! Their breakfast and lunch options are fantastic, and I can't wait to come back and try more.

I bought three cookies: lemon, snickerdoodle, and oatmeal almond. The lemon was lacking in flavor and on the dry side; it even had a greenish gray spot on it that looked like mold or like it fell on the ground. The snickerdoodle and oatmeal ones tasted fine but nothing I'm dying to come back for. The table we sat at needed to be wiped down. I was hesitant to try their coffees. Service was okay. My review is based only on those items and that I don't see myself going back.

Came here casually on a Monday holiday and it was pretty consistently busy with people getting in and out frequently. Placed my order at the front and went with the breakfast sandwich as I had read a sign in store that they were famous in OC for their English muffins. After eating my breakfast sandwich I could see why. The English muffin was SO GOOD. It was also great with hot eggs cheese and bacon. I also got a latte which was a little more underwhelming but the sandwich made up for it. 10/10 for the sandwich. This is inside the mall so parking near R+D kitchen would be best. They also sell the English muffins in 6 pack and I saw they just came out with an everything bagel seasoning English muffin. I'll be back to try that!

Pretty great for the gluten free items... there are some wonderful interpretations of familiar bakery items, English muffins, cakes, etc. Definitely stop by if your around the area for some coffee and delicious bake goods. If you can, enjoy them at the koi pond.

Anything you request they will make it happen. They are very kind and attentive to every order they want you to leave happy. The coffee is consistently smooth, rich and full of flavor. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the care and passion that goes into every cup. The pastries are fresh even when I try not to have some it's so amazing that I crave it.
