Sake Sushi

We came to Sake Sushi in Rancho Santa Margarita after my daughter's volleyball tournament, and it was a great choice! The restaurant had a welcoming vibe right from the start. The service was fast and efficient, which was perfect after a long day. The food was good, fresh, and hit the spot. Overall, a great place to unwind and enjoy a solid meal. We'll definitely be back!

I got way more than what's pictured but I really enjoyed the Coto Roll most. It's crunchy and crispy. We also got a spicy salmon roll (I think) and the rice was sloppy. It's not high quality in the slightest, but it's decent sushi. The spicy yellowtail was good though! The beef bowl was disappointing. Some of the meat was tough, and a majority of the bowl was just vegetables. When I come back, I'd probably steer towards the speciality rolls because that one was actually quite nice. Inside is pretty small, but there's maybe 1-2 tables that would fit over 5. Service can be quite slow, but the people are so so so friendly!

I think this is one of the better sushi spots in RSM. Service is timely and servers are friendly. So far I like the RSM and baked salmon roll. California roll is good but could taste better. The miso soup and edamame was delish.

We used to come here weekly for a decade (no exaggeration)... we stopped. Why... I'm truly not sure. Well, today we went back for an "old time sake's" lunch. It was fantastic. The same friendly owner was there to great us. It was lunch so there weren't a ton of people there, but about 1/3 full. The seating is comfortable and I have always loved the mix of music playing. The prices have gone up like everywhere but the quality and quantity of fish was fantastic. We got the Hamachi Carpaccio. Many places only give you 5 pieces of fish in an appetizer but not Saki... it came with 8. It was delicious! Check the pictures! We got a few of our favorite basic rolls and realized they had so many more options now! We are so happy to rediscover this family owned restaurant that truly cares about what they are serving!

My second visit to Sake Sushi was DRASTICALLY different from the first. First time, service was great, food was delicious, and the atmosphere was fun. This time? Nothing even close. We waited OVER an hour for 3 rolls. They had 2 chefs, 2 servers, and there was 3 other parties seated. One chef was too busy drinking with the people seated in front of him, and one of the servers was too busy playing with one of the parties babies. After over an hour wait, we got up and walked out, never even got to see our food, which is a shame because last time it was very good.

I had the pleasure of visiting Sake Sushi for the first time today, and I have to say, it was an amazing experience! The gentleman and lady who greeted us were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even making room for my son in his stroller, which I really appreciated. As someone who's usually hesitant with sushi spots, I was pleasantly surprised. I'm a huge fan of Nobu and usually go there for my sushi fix, but tonight I wanted to try something local and affordable. Sake Sushi did not disappoint. I had the California hand roll and the RSM roll, and both were delicious. The ginger and wasabi were fresh, which really elevated the experience. The staff is so kind, the food was fresh, and the environment is clean and welcoming. It's clear this is a family-owned business, and their hospitality really shows. I'll definitely be coming back often - such a great find!

Their website menu and prices were very old so they were not helpful at all. I tried to order to go and was met with a very unfriendly and unhelpful attitude.

Mediocre Sushi - Horrible Customer Service.If the woman who takes your order makes you feel weird...believe it.

This is a great go-to, casual sushi place! Great food, great service, and overall friendly staff.
