I ordered the -Onion Basil Kulcha-Chicken Vindaloo-Garlic Naan-Onion Basil KulchaAll of these items were flavorful and you can pick the spice levels. This is probably my favorite Indian restaurant now due to the flavorfulness and the picking of the spice level abilities and the spice is delicious. The customer service was also very good. Thank you, I will come again.

Food was very flavorful and savory. I had the lunch buffet that day.Service is top notch.Dining room is nicely furnished.Only thing that I was not pleased with was there was no air conditioning in the dining room and it was particularly hot that day.

The food is fine, the service is great and I love the decor on the inside.... but... what keeps me coming here all the time is the Kheer - Rice Pudding! It is game changing rice pudding. I rate this place 5 stars because the rice pudding is "that" delicious. The Kheer (rice pudding) has a great thick, but not too thick consistency, it has slivered almonds, golden raisins and is topped with ground pistachio. It is absolutely delicious and one of it's kind. When I am in the area, I would stop by to get a couple of rice puddings to go with the ground pistachio on the side. It is just delicious and easily one of my favorite desserts of all time. Thank you Royal Khyber for the delicious Kheer!

We arrived for lunch at 12:45 not knowing it was buffet dining and they closed just over an hour later. My party and I went there for a business meeting. It was a 59 mile drive to get there and neither of us noticed the fine print next to the entrance stating the closing time. While the buffet looked good, I asked if they had "chicken saagwala." The young no nothing waiter said he'd have to ask the manager. Same guy returned and asked to spell what I wanted. I spelled letter by letter and he seemed even more confused. The manager came over, I asked him and he said, "Do you mean 'chicken saag'?" He was from India and asked me a stupid question like that. So I said yes and got the meal and simultaneously told they were closing in 20 minutes. I took my time eating and we went past closing time while the manager glared at us. They started to clear the buffet area and we both said we wanted the rice pudding for dessert. So we were brought two little cups and were told again they were closed. So we finished, paid the bill, left a full tip, not thanked and were led to the door which the manager locked behind us. As for Indian food I can say it was good. As for the experience, not memorable.

If you like/live Indian cuisine than this restaurant is a must to try! The quality of the food is excellent, the service is excellent and the decor is quite lovely! Heck, they even have very clean and roomy bathrooms! Since I'm a big Chicken Biryani guy, I can say theirs is good but not great. I've certainly had better. My girlfriend ordered the Basil Chicken Coconut Curry and it was fantastic!! I will definitely be returning to try their other dishes for sure!

An unexpected up-market experience in Costa Mesa. Ambiance was great, definitely more fine, than casual. The paneer Tikka, kofta and pindi choley were excellent. They also had an olive naan ( off menu item - ask for it) which was really tasty! But food was a bit pricey for what it was. Service was overall good. - lots of enthusiasm but could have more finesse. The manager came by and provide direction to our server, which was a little disruptive to our conversation.

As of Feb 2023: Mixed Tandoori $31.75 Methi Aloo Pyaz Ka Kulcha $6.95Non Vegetarian Thali $26.95This location is across the street from the world famous South Coast Plaza. Two of us came for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, and it was a quiet day. We were the only ones in there for a while, but eventually, by the time we left, there were more people there. The service was awesome! Our server was very attentive and was knowledgeable in all of the food. The Thali dish is not on menu, but just ask your server. It was the right amount for two hungry adults.

Basil coconut chicken is a must. Tikka masala from here is bit too strong on the tomato side. Took little time with the order which would be nicer if it was faster, but service itself is good

From the picture it looks very royal but when you reach it so tiny from outside and inside. Service was horrible we kept waiting for almost 2 hours for our food

Food is amazing, the service is attentive and always there to help. Have been regulars for 5+ years and we keep coming back or delivering online. Great establishment!
