Rasta Taco Catering

So delicious every time! Marking it down one star because they don't have a bathroom or proper hand sanitizer. Otherwise, the staff is always friendly, and the food is prepared promptly. I had the shrimp tacos, which is served with chips and salsa. I did miss the rice and beans. The shrimp tacos were full of flavor. Add the salsa and wow! Totally hit the spot.

Great place and good food. Enjoyed the service. If you are for a good taco in Laguna Beach go to Rasta!

Pretty good tacos. A cute little stand with outdoor seating in the hub of Laguna. The white fish taco was really great! The Al pastor was just ok.

Where do I begin? I hired Rasta Taco this summer for a birthday party for my husband. Their salesperson planned out a delicious menu with many upgrades. I expected quite an elegant affair because of the promises of gourmet food from an experienced catering kitchen. Not to mention the fact that they are a bit costly!Well let me tell you, it wasn't quite what I had expected. Their staff was nice enough, but they arrived late. When they finally began grilling, I noticed that the meat they were using was frozen! Really - for gourmet tacos? The food was good, but not spectacular. Lastly, at the end of the evening, they were reluctant to leave the extra food and beverages that I had paid for.Unfortunately, I recommend saving your money.

Went to an event a week ago that hired these dudes to make sure people didn't get too drunk-on-an-empty-stomach.Not sure how the pricing typically goes as I simply attended the event. In this instance, it was $5 for a wristband that gets you all-you-can-eat tacos. I wasn't expecting a whole lot after reading the first review here, but holy cow! These guys do work!Meat appeared to be pre-cooked and then reheated on a portable, flat-top, cart like griddle. I can understand being taken aback by it not being served 'fresh' as in, raw then cooked in front of you fresh, but their recipes wouldn't be as tasty, efficient, and economical if they didn't do it the way they do.Carne asada was pretty, I hate to say average, but it was. The chicken they do in some kind of sweet jerk style, is incredible. Really. I opt for carne over chicken 10 times out of 10 - this was the one exception. Thoroughly impressed.Salsa was a bit on the mild side, but I'm the guy that needs to be sweating from spiciness to say it's just right. Squeeze of lime on the classic flat top cooked, double corn tortilla makes this 4 stars easy. +1 star for the guys working the stand being extra incredibly mellow and curteous - and happy to cook extra tacos even though their time was up.*Also noticed them pack-up the leftovers and leave them at the event with no fuss at all.

Loved Rasta Taco! Svetlana and the team were very responsive and so helpful. Not only is their customer service great, but the food was such a hit! Everyone loved the tacos. Would 100% use them again to cater a future party. As a plus, we also used Rasta Rita and had margaritas served as well, which was also great! Same goes for Mario and his team. The entire Rasta team was perfect for our engagement party and will definitely recommend to friends!

We had Rasta Taco cater our wedding. The food was delicious, and everything showed up on time. However, dealing with our rep, Svetlana, was not enjoyable.1. She approached our table DURING THE SPEECHES at our reception, presenting us with a survey form to provide feedback... I literally could not believe how rude and unprofessional that was.2. She kept calling our phones to verify last-minute details, even though she had the number of our day-of coordinator - again, not professional.3. She charged us extra for a few flour tortillas... to accommodate for THE BRIDE'S corn allergy... so petty, insulting, and unnecessary, when we were already paying them thousands of dollars.4. We ordered cocktail hour appetizers, thinking Rasta would have everything pre-made and just walk around with them for our guests, or at least have them available near the bar - they did not, so very few people ate the cocktail hour appetizers.5. She did not let us know that Rasta would not have any lighting around their truck, where the food was being served, so we did not know to bring anything for them - our guests had a very hard time seeing the tables with the sides and toppings in the dark.So, while the food was good, I would not recommend Rasta Taco catering for your wedding.

We got Rasta Taco for a ~40 person backyard party and it was a hit! Their set-up was well-presented and they were totally self-sufficient (needed water for the chafing dishes, but that's a given). They arrived at the agreed upon time to start setting up and they confirmed with me before starting to serve. The food itself was delicious as well and we received multiple compliments from the party attendants. Thanks to Svetlana for seamless coordination!

We recently had an event catered by the Rasta taco cart. They were prompt, professional and the food was great. They also displayed the food and toppings in a really cute way which I appreciated. Thank you!

Way overpriced average food, but the worst part was the girls attitude that was in charge. She was extremely rude and they were late to make matters worse, I will make sure my husband never hires them again!!
