Hello, The store clerk charged me $64 for daikon root. I'm not one to complain, but I was very disappointed with my fist time visiting Rasa yesterday. I was in search of a store to fill my pantry for Indian cuisine. Rasa was open on Sunday, so I stopped in. I'm not familiar with prices so when the clerk told me that my bill was $106.05 I thought it was high but then again I had purchased a lot of spices, so I didn't question him. Once I got home I reread my receipt and saw that he overcharged me, (this was no mistake)! He knew exactly what he was doing. Shame on him for taking advantage of a person who isn't familiar with the prices. I will never go back and please be cautious when buying from Rasa. I've included my receipt (first item mooli) aka daikon root.

I needed some masala spices that I couldn't get in my usual local markets, so I found this place online and made the 30 minute trek out there. The had everything I was looking for with the exception of anardana powder, which turns out wasn't terribly important since they had the amchoor powder. The lady who was there helps me find everything that I needed. She seemed happy to help. When I had looked these spices up on amazon it would have cost me $60 with shipping and everything. Here, it was about $17. They even had fresh methi, which I had never even seen sold as dried before, so that was cool. I will happily go back there. There were a few things like the baskets that needed a little sprucing up, but all in all it's a cozy, family-owned, one stop Indian Spice shop, and I'll be back when my garam masala runs out.

Not a good place everything is old stock rice is molded. The website says it opens at 9 but it doesn't open until 11:30 sometimes and it doesn't have fixed time for opening the store.

I came in to get a few spices and Bhuvana was so helpful and friendly! She provided me with her expertise in regards to spices, lentils, and recipes! I can't wait to use my new Indian ingredients! :)

Very Nice staff. A small, somewhat ill-kempt store with a fairly typical stock of at least decent quality and price. Better options available in the neighborhood, though.

We tracked down this market because my husband wanted to make authentic Buyrani. We live an hour from LA but had to be in LA on business yesterday, so we were excited to stop in and see if they could help us. They were super helpful and had everything we needed, including the special Buyrani rice and all the individual spices (not just the buyrani mixes which are loaded with sodium.) Plus I picked up some garlic naan and yoghurt for the road. I was a little disappointed with the cucumber yoghurt as the it seemed to be mostly cucumber skin and no pieces of cucumber. (Maybe the cucumber got blended.) But the taste of the yogurt was delicious! The owners were super helpful, with the father interrupting his lunch to come out and help and make sure we got everything we needed. A lovely and fun shopping adventure. Definitely recommend.

This place is good. For one thing there is no parking issue like in Farm Fresh and Cash and Carry during evenings and weekends. Vegetables and tomatoes are cheaper than any of the other places. But I would keep away from fried Indian snacks packaged from India as they appear to be old and stale.
