Quan vit vit vit has been my family's favorite restaurant in Westminster recently. It's our go-to spot for Bún Măng Gỏi Vị (Bamboo Noodle Soup with Duck Salad) and no one does it better. If you love duck and just want to experience one of the best Vietnamese comfort meals, this place is a must-try. My dad told me, "Quan" means "restaurant" and "vit" means duck. When you repeat "vit vit vit" meaning "duck duck duck" emphasizes that this place specializes in duck dishes and goodness they absolutely nail it! For just $17, you get an incredibly generous portion - a huge bowl of flavorful bamboo noodle soup and a delicious Vietnamese duck salad. The soup itself is rich, with a bamboo-infused broth that is so umami. The noodle texture is perfectly paired and it coats the broth very well. The bamboo is soaked for a long period of time so its very soft but just the right amount of crunch. The duck salad that is paired is my favorite. The duck is sliced, tossed in a tangy, slightly sweet fish sauce dressing, and mixed with fresh herbs, crunchy cabbage, and crispy shallots. It's light yet so satisfying. The combination with the noodle soup makes it the ultimate meal. My family and I crave this place all the time, especially my dad who introduced this place to my mom and I. Every time we come, we always order at least two portions - sometimes even an extra one to take home because it's just THAT good. The service here is friendly and quick, and while it gets busy, the food is always worth it. If you're in Westminster or even want to drive out here, it's the best place to be to get Bún Măng Gỏi Vị - this is the spot!

There's a strong smell when you walk into the restaurant, it's the smell of the bamboo soup, you 'll get used to it. Seat yourself. Go for V3-V5 combos, you get bamboo soup and duck salad. The duck salad is to die for, get just salad, V1 if you're not a fan of bamboo shoots. The V6 braised fried duck is delicious, frying it gives it another layer of flavor. V9 & V10 are available on weekends only I think. Good to know:-Cash only. -The waitress is not friendly. Minus 1 star. -Beware if you don't speak Vietnamese, the waitress will be extremely unfriendly!

Came to Quan vit vit vit as it was a recommended spot by a friend of mine for their braised duck egg noodle soup -- so we came for another friend's birthday and to our disappointment -- they didn't have any braised duck. We settled with different items - my friend got the bamboo egg noodle soup and duck salad and she liked it (albeit she said she can get the same dish closer to home).I ended up getting the egg noodle with fried duck (dry) - I had never had fried duck before and I will admit, this was delicious - nice crispy skin and juicy duck inside. However, I did not like the sauce that drenched my noodles as it was too strong. My friend's husband ordered the egg noodle with fried duck (soup) and it ended up coming dry. He had the same comment about the sauce, we would both prefer it without. My BF got the steamed rice with duck salad -- their duck salad is so good. I really like the Vietnamese salads with rau ram, theirs has a slight spice kick just right and so yummy. The food overall was decent and not overpriced. I would definitely come back for more fried duck!! The loss of the star was service issues - I'm pretty sure the server was annoyed we were there to begin with, the wrong order coming out, and the overall lack of menu items - no braised duck available, no drinks available except coffee (they ended up bringing us iced chrysanthemum tea but it didn't taste great--like its steeped in bad sink water).

Cash only! Large portions with alot of duck! Great bang for your buck in quantity. Quality is decent. This was suggested by a local friend who said this place 1 out of 2 places seem remembers going to for Vietnamese style duck noodle soup. Definitely worth it for how much duck you get!!We were insisted in a duck soup. Unfortunately both new items V9 and V10 were out of stock. So we got the below: V6. Mi Vit Luoc Chien Gion. Eggs Noodle with Fried Duck - Soup. We thought this was a hoodie soup but it came out to be a dry noodle with soup on the side? V7. Com Vit Luoc. Steamed Rice with Fried Duck. Both were simple comfort food. It does take time until your dish is served but it came hot. We'll have to come back to try their new items, the V3 Bamboo Duck Noodle Soup Salad, or just duct salad.

Opening times are not accurate. The restaurant has two signs on their windows - one says 9am-9pm hours and the other one says 10am-7:30pm. They should update both signs - we got there at 10am and the owner said shes not opening until 10:30am. Ordered mien vit. Soup portion got smaller but the goi vit was huge still. Cash only. Very limited parking right now because of construction

This is the best Bun Vit Sao Mang in OC. The portion is generous. The flavors are good. Service is a little slow because it was only one lady. Truly mom and pop restaurant. I ordered the Vermicelli duck bamboo with the cabbage salad. This dish is not for everyone. If you like bamboo shoots, yes. Otherwise, the smell is a little pungent. It's just a simple restaurant, but it's hard to find this dish anywhere.

This place is on the list of Vietnamese restaurants for us to try today. Their infamous Bún Mănh Vįt and salad is a must try. The dish comes with a bowl of soup noodles cooked with dried bamboo shoots and the steamed duck salad with fish sauce served on the side. The soup is very fragrant and sweet, natural flavors not sugar sweet type. Big pieces of steamed duct over the salad ands served with ginger fish sauce. It was very tasty and just the correct flavor. Need to go back and try the rest of the duck dishes combinations. Just an ordinary restaurant and server was quick and efficient.

Everytime and anytime i m craving for steam ducks on mixed cabbages and vermicelli. This is the one and only spot restaurant that my family and i go to, i literally go here every week - it s that GOOD !!!! The ducks are always juicy, tender and never has any bad scent on them. Unlike other places, it tends to carry certain smells since they dont clean them properly and thoroughly. The mixed cabbages are just perfectly done with all the tastes and right amount of juices and ingredients. This is a family owned restaurant and their services are really homestead. Always respectful, courteous and feel like at home. I truly and highly recommended to everyone .

I really like this place, but when I called today at 2:07 PM, the cashier on the phone was rude, grumpy, and unpleasant. This happened on Wednesday, February 19, at noon. Please provide feedback to this person; otherwise, you may lose customers.
