Popeyes

This location opened up five months ago, it's very clean, great lighting and it's right there on Tustin Street in Orange. Around this location are a lots of restaurant choices, but we love Popeyes . Every year one of our family members wants their Popeyes Thanksgiving, turkey, Jeanette was our host today, at the drive-through. Very professional and nice. The food was so delicious and great smelling. We were eating it while driving down the Irvine Canyon.

I was so happy we got a Popeyes here in Orange but...I tried this location last night, for the second time since they opened. I ordered the blackened chicken tenders as it's my favorite and I get it about three times a month while I'm on the road working in Southern California. I don't know how this location manages to make them so horribly, but they are so tough, dried out, under and unevenly seasoned AND luke warm they are pretty much inedible. I ate two of them and tossed the rest. I don't understand because at other locations he tenders are so perfectly seasoned and although small very juicy and tender. It's almost as if this location is trying to pass off regular small cut up breast as tenders? They don't even look like tenders.The red beans and rice are also served almost cold. I worry about the food if they keep their food at this temperature for any length of time. I ate my biscuits and coleslaw which were good but had to add some food from my own kitchen.

Honestly, every time i order online from this Popeyes restaurant i feel robbed. I ordered my meal to be picked up 30min earlier. Showed up and this time 2 items were missing I didn't notice until I got home again. Terrible. To make it worse, there was no phone number on the receipt to call and inform of the constant problem with this sight. The first time this happened I gave grace, this is the second time and there was enough time for them to check the contents of ordered package. They were busy inside but like I said, I ordered my pickup for 30min later. In good conscience, I can't recommend this Popeyes if you are not going to sit in the restaurant to inform them of a problem with your order or missing items. If it has happened to me twice now, I can only imagine how many other customers are getting ripped off. The restaurant is clean and new.

Gave them a 2nd chance and again my order was wrong... cold chicken, soggy under cooked fries and flat Coke Zero... do t waste your time drive down to the one on 17th and Grand it's always good!!

The owner is shortchanging customers on the true Popeye's experience by not making the Cajun rice correctly like the description indicates and also watering down the Red Beans and rice.

This is a brand new construction and location. Was excited to have a Popeyes close by. Came through during the dinner rush and got cold fries and an under filled red beans and rice. The rice cost about a dollar per bite. Sad. Wanted it to be better.

I ordered an 8 piece family meal with a side of mashed potatoes for $26.99 from the drive thru.The receipt listed 2 breast, 2 thighs, 2 wings and 2 legs.When I got home and opened the box, there was 3 legs, 2 wings and 3 thighs. One of the thighs was so small we couldn't tell at first, what it was.I could not find a phone number to call, on the receipt or online. Other stores had their phone number online.Very disappointed.

Good classic chicken, spicy was good for the flavor as well. But the mac and cheese was great not to mention the absolutely phenomenal customer service, they made the experience all around comfortable and enjoyable for me and my friends

I'd give them zero stars if Yelp gave that as an option. I've been here twice and both times items were missing from the order. First visit just accepted that they recently opened and staff was still learning.Second visit missing 2 out of the 3 sides. Can't even call them to complain as there is no phone number listed on their receipt or online.

Came I today about 1:50pm for online order pickup. I was surprised how excellent the customer service was when I was greeted. My food was already for pickup . The interior is super clean as this is a recently opened location in Orange. The girl at the counter was excellent! Smiled all day long and neatly packaged my family meal order. The best pet of the order is how delicious and crispy the fried chicken was. I had ordered the 50/50 mix and out of all the locations I've been to in SoCal this has to be the best I've ever had at Popeyes! I swear the chicken and every single piece were cooked to perfection! No soggy greasy chicken! Just pure Christy chicken with the best flavors! The spicy was the best and you could taste the species with every bite . Each spicy chicken had a nice spicy kick you can actually taste unlike other locations . I hope future orders will same quality as of now this is the best Popeyes in SoCal ! This location sets example of how customer service and quality food is done. Highly recommend this location as my first was a killer experience! Thanks to all of the staff on this day 11/16!
