Mango Police? Really??!!!Extremely rude young lady standing by the pallets of mangoes telling people not to take boxes from the pallets. One could clearly see that the mangoes which were not on the pallets were not good. Some discolored, others showing signs of rot. People had helped themselves to switching fruit from one box to another making the perfect box for themselves and leaving the bad ones for the rest. Understand that the store management wanted to stop this practice but then don't bring the pallets upfront! Why would one buy substandard fruit when you have better looking fruit right next to it??!!...and please don't be rude!! You can ask nicely too. The store as a whole is clean and well stocked but customer service does not exist.

Grocery shopping with friends at the big Pioneer grocery store was an experience that I won't forget. Stepping inside was like teleporting to another country. Clearly the grocery store is very popular with the Indian community. The vegetables were ample, looked fresh, and were constantly being refilled. Aisles of different types of rice, lentils (dal), and spices were overwhelming due to the sheer variety. My friends seemed to be in their element cheerfully discussing basmati types, certain types of dal, and debating which brand was better. The snack aisles were full of sweet and spicy choices and I got a giant bag of masala mix and sesame candy balls. The tea aisle had so many different types of loose tea, bagged tea, instant tea, and spiced tea. It was tough to choose just one. Parking was ample but crazy busy. Would I return? Sure! But I'd probably need to go with my friends as guides.

3/9/24 Did I miss it? I actually had an ROTD for this store back in Sept. 2023!! I must admit, if I had to bet that there would be fresh okra being sold here every time I go in.... When I'm in need of fresh okra, there's almost always a fresh batch (2 huge mounds of them to pick from). In comparison to other places, these are actually better quality (fresh & young, older types tend to be tough or hard to digest). I found banana hearts/blossoms at $1.49/ lb, better than $3,00/lb elsewhere & these are fresher as well. This was a good shopping stop, next time I will try the fresh roti.

It's mango season. The best place to go is Pioneer Cash and Carry for Indian mangoes. I bought a box of Alfonso and Kesser. Best mangoes I've tasted. Get them before they're gone. DJ's rating: 4.50/5.00Would I come back? Yes for the mangos.

My friend introduced me to this Indian groceries and it's amazing. This place has huge variety of Indian products. From the fresh produce to skin care and even bakery are inside of this store as well. Always crowded on the weekend and the parking lot is huge. The store is clean and well organized. The staff is friendly and helpful. So check out this store if you need any Indian products.

i love this market! i love shopping for spices and rice at pioneer. they carry my favorite flavor of chips and fresh roti. every time i step through the front door, i am always mesmerized by the bakery. i went on the week of my birthday and decided to try a slice of their vegan cake. it was delicious! i highly recommend trying it. the staff is always kind and helpful. the lines can be long during checkout, but this is the one grocery store where every cash register is open so it goes by quickly! overall, artesia has some solid grocery stores to choose from and they're all so close to one another! it is a cool place to shop for the essentials with amazing prices and variety compared to the average store.

Two stars cause they sell some vey tasty Kent mangos. Unfortunately everybody but the Spanish speakers are rude as hell here!!! Omg it was like entering another realm! This was my first time entering an Indian supermarket and purchasing.. Absolute insanity. They literally police the mangoes. The mango police are so extra stressed they breathe heavily, talk aggressively rude , and are obviously so unaware they are acting this way in public. Customer service does NOT exist here. I bought a few other items that looked pretty kosher, and I would have continued to shop the store, but after the incredibly chaotic, rude experience I will not be coming back here nor ever recommend anybody. I will find another place to purchase the Kent mangoes.

BUYER BEWARE!!!When you make a purchase here check your receipts. They do overcharge you from what the price is on the shelf. I have worked in retail so I know the law. The business has to honor the price even if the description is different when the whole shelf is full of that product. Basically that is not a mistake. The people kept trying to justify it by saying we just new merch and we are just filling it all up. If that is the case you need to remove the wrong tag. After all that still refused to honor the price. There were a lot of items that had the same issue. Have filed a complaint with weights and measures and good luck trying to explain it to them by giving excuses. Typical Indian business that does care about their customers especially when they think there is no one that can compete with them.

My wife and I are both in wheelchair and we always shop at pioneer cash and carry. Love the atmosphere and the songs they play. Anyway Yesterday I was approached by either sales person or manager asking us if we need an assistance pushing our carts while we shop. He was going to have one employee be with us throughout. We really appreciate that someone acknowledge us . Just wanted to give a big shout out to that person for asking if we need help. Superb Customer Service and very people friendly place. It's far from where we live but definitely worth going everytime
