Fireside Fondue and accoutrements
The viewfinders have both the cocktail menus and food menus. It's a neat way to see them since there are 3D pictures.

What a fun pop up bar! Kid and dog friendly and the staff is great. We only had drinks and those were amazing.I was even able to order a wine glass from the bar next door and take it to this pop-up bar because they didn't have a great of a wine selection and everyone was fine with that. Highly recommend checking this pop-up bar out!

A fun pop-up bar to get you in the holiday spirit! Located on the second floor of the Kimpton Shorebreak Huntington Beach Resort. There's garage and metered parking available! We got here just after they opened on a Saturday. I'm glad we did, because the place was pretty empty and we were able to grab a table for our larger group! It did start to get crowded quickly, with a line forming at the bar. Drinks are definitely on the pricier end, but you're paying for the experience. My favorite drink was Snowed In - a hot chocolate with tequila and bourbon cream. It's topped with thick whipped cream and a graham cracker! This drink was perfect for a cold night and sooo yummy. It's v rich and creamy! We also got a shot ski which was fun! You can either get 2 or 4 drinks on the shot ski. Everytime someone orders one, they release the fake snow! Overall, a fun little bar for the holiday season. People get dressed up and it's a whole vibe! Would recommend getting there before 8PM to avoid long lines at the bar.

This is my 2nd year in a row visiting Pier Summit Ski Lodge. It's a cute pop-up with fun 80's vibes (neon, outfits, music, games, etc). The drinks are good but pricey. There are two different colored viewfinders on the tables: one has cocktails and the other has the food menu. I like the viewfinder idea since you can see the pictures, price and ingredients on the viewfinder. Whenever someone orders shots on the shotski they turn on the snow. Make sure to cover your drinks and try not to get any in your mouth and definitely don't snort it (it's soap and stings). This venue is outside in the Kimpton courtyard so make sure to bring a coat or don your finest apres ski outfits. They do have heaters scattered around and two fire pit areas to keep you warm. It can be difficult to find a table on a weekend, but just wait it out and you'll find one. This is not a party here all night bar, but maybe a 1-2 hour stop somewhere in your night. I'd say night time is the best time to visit so the neon lights come on as they really add to the esthetic. They close at 10pm so no late night drinks. We ordered the fondue both times and the accoutrements that come with it this year are not good. It comes with broccolini, bread and potatoes (too many carbs). It would be nice if they had some other veggies. I wanted to order the raclette this year which I'm happy they added to the menu because I love it, but I was having too much fun and forgot. I'd recommend a visit for anyone wanting to try something new and seasonal. It definitely gives Hot Tub Time Machine/80's Apres Ski Vibes.

I was expecting a little more from this place, but it was still fun. I wouldn't plan a night here, maybe as a first stop for a quick drink to start the night. It's a cute pop up, they play good 80s music, and the drinks were good. We tried the snow bunny and the espresso martini. There was only one bartender and the line was pretty long the whole time we were there. It does "snow" - be aware the snow is HUGE and since it's soap, cover your drinks and hair if you don't want to get wet. We went at opening and it was already completely full. A one time thing if you're in the area.

Finally came here after years of seeing it recommended and never got the chance to stop by. Highly suggest coming right when they open, as it gets packed very quickly! It's located to the left of the lobby, and nestled in between the hotel. They played great music, and I was shocked how incredible the drinks were. Bartenders were super friendly, service was fast (you do need to order at the bar, so have someone grab a seat), but atmosphere was fantastic all around. Line can be long, but they have games and "snow" which is a blast. We will be back!

It was super cute! I saw this experience on IG. If there is a pop up bar in my neighborhood I had to try it! I got there just in time to snag us a seat. Because the place got super packed fairly quickly. The hot cheese fondue platter was all right. It stayed hot for this cold night. The drinks were way over priced but super fun. Ample flare to keep your eyes entertained. And foam disguised as snow for extra fun. But cover your drinks! The foam will go in there.Pop up bars are fun. The experience is what you are paying for not the service. I am excited to see what pops up this summer or next winter.

This pop up was really cute and fun for a date night. It's located inside the hotel and the drinks are phenomenal. The decorated interior and snow effect really set it off!

The lines were very long when it comes to service. But the ambiance was exceptional! The drinks were good and decorative! I would come back but hopefully it won't be as crowded next time because there was also an event happening while we were there which occupied the entire place.

This is a seasonal pop up bar at the Shorebreak hotel in Huntington Beach! Reservations aren't needed but the place can get pretty busy.Went on a Saturday at around 8pm and although it was busy, we were still able to get cocktails fast. I got the Big Foot $20 - woodford reserve bourbon, marshmallow simple syrup, laphroaig, graham cracker crumb, toasted marshmallow. It was delicious and a strong cocktail!I didn't see anyone eating food here, just lot's of people ordering the drinks. The place is very instagram able. Also the fake snow seems to come out every 15-20 mins. The "snow" is really soap so cover your eyes and cocktails!Overall, it's a fun experience worth checking out if you're in the area. I wouldn't drive from far to do this as it's pretty small. The hours are limited to only 10pm so plan accordingly and come early!

I will admit-- social media got me and this place looked epic on tik tok and IG. I was bummed I wasn't able to make it last year so I was sure to make it opening month this year around. Pier Summit is located in the Kimpton Shore Break Hotel in HB on the second floor. Parking in the structure was a flat $10 for us. Pier Summit it currently running until the first week of January and its a fun 80s theme snow summit pop up. Granted this is a pop up bar but I was expecting it to be much larger. Its actually fairly small and they don't do reservations so you have to hawk for a table. The second ding is even if you get a table before ordering the waitresses are non existent so you have to go to the bar to order. So it leaves a long line of patrons at the bar. We waited around 35 minutes to order our drinks as it seems they were under staffed only two bartenders for the whole pop up which was kind of crazy and I felt bad for the gals. They def were hustling but just the whole concept of ordering was inconvenient. We also ordered a ski shot for two $24 and it is on a ski but can only be done at the bar-- if I knew this prior I wouldn't have ordered as it slows down the ordering line. The ski shots were delicious though and they have a snow fall whenever someone orders which is very cute. Surprisingly the food was delicious-- but that took another 40 minutes to arrive. We just ordered the west slop hosti which was potatoes and we added a bratwurst which was DELICIOUS! I was surprised! I did see patrons returning food as it took too long and they were over it. I am not sure if in general this place is understaffed as everything took quite a while for a Wednesday night so I can't even imagine a busy weekend night. I think if they had actual waitresses to attend to the tables, more bartenders then this place would be more enjoyable. The drinks were $17 and up but pretty solid. This is a fun place to get into the winter spirit though!
