Officially my go-to banh mi spot! We got the #12 Heo Quay ($8.99), #1 Dac Biet ($7.25), 4 Pork Egg Rolls ($4), and 2 3piece sesame balls ($2). It was all super delicious and affordable. The bread was especially yummy and you can even smell how fresh it was while waiting for your food.We went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too packed. It was slightly busy, but didn't wait too long to get our food. It was also super easy to find parking for us.There are a few tables outside and inside, so you can eat in. I didn't try the drive through but nice that they have that. Can't wait to go back here again. :-)

This place is one of my favorite Banh Mi spots in the OC. Way better than Lee Sandwiches, there's no comparison. I usually get the grilled pork Banh Mi, but I decided to try their new fried chicken sandwich. This new sandwich definitely hit the spot. In addition, we ordered some egg rolls with fish sauce. Normally, they're pretty quick. However, the day I went there which busy and the people who ordered after us got their food first. I had to ask the status of my order which just got dine and they handed it to me. Maybe, it was the new sandwich takes them a bit longer because it is made to order and not prepped already. The restaurant is your average Asian spot. You don't come here for the great service or cleanliness. Pro tip: sesame balls are only available on the weekends.

Ordering online was a breeze and I was really satisfied with my grilled chicken banh mi (ga nuong). There is seating inside though and there's a drive thru.Got the picked veggies (daikon carrots, jalapeños, cilantro, cucumbers) on the side. The pickled carrots and cucumbers were fresh. I enjoyed the grilled chicken since it was well-marinated but it was a bit charred. The baguette itself was crispy and on the well-done/darker side. TIP if you're eating this at home, fry an egg to put into and add whichever extra veggies to your heart's content. Will definitely be coming back to try their other baguettes and new menu.

Everything was ok, not the best sandwiches or plates but did the job. Food came out quick. We sat outside was a nice option.

Food is delicious and very fresh, for a great price. Service is also fast with a very nice dine in ambiance. Would recommend this place to anyone in the area. Similar to carrot daikon but cheaper!

I took a first-time trip to Pickle Banh Mi Co. in Fountain Valley after hearing about this spot from another friend of mine. The inside houses a half-dozen wooden tables lined up along the front and side of the store. A deep red countertop boldly accents the interior decor and it houses a small collection of to-go ready items (pastries, spring rolls, etc.). Let's get straight to the main thing - the crispy pork belly banh mi ($8.99) I ordered. Pickles' baguette is nicely toasted, so it has the flaky crunch on the outside by softness on the inside. They provide an ample chunks of pork belly which were juicy and lightly crispy. I did wish it had a little more seasoning to really pull out more of that porky flavor goodness. Likewise, I felt the pickled vegetables could use some flavor elevation. I really wanted a bit more of that tangy punch to really excite each bite of the sandwich. The herbal note of the cilantro as well as the gooey coating of the fried eggs (extra $2.50) I added paired nicely to the rest of it. It's a fine banh mi overall. I may need to revisit and try a different one to see how it stacks to this one.

This is one of my favorite places to get banh mi (Vietnamese baguette sandwiches). I recommend getting their lemongrass beef as it tends to be juicier and more flavorful compared to other places I've been to. You can also have them cut it in half which is pretty convenient.Spring rolls and sauce are decent. I'd recommend just getting them elsewhere as the rolls tend to not have as much filling. The sauce isn't as strong either, feels like it is a bit diluted. The location is pretty convenient so parking is hardly ever an issue. Staff is nice and can speak both Vietnamese and English. The interior is clean overall. I recommend to order ahead as it can take some time for them to prepare the sandwiches and they can be backed up depending on how busy it is.

If you're looking for a reasonably priced, tasty lunch, this place is a great choice. It's casual, with efficient and polite service, and an expansive menu. My family loves to drop by for Vietnamese sandwiches, and this place has great gluten-free options for me, too. Rice sheets, spring rolls- so good and fresh. Vietnamese iced coffee too, of course. An all-around solid choice.

Pickle is my go-to spot for banh mi in OC. Their bread is so buttery, light and crunchy. They always give plenty of meat and veggies (on the side). My favorite are the đặc biệt and heo quay

Quality and taste of the food here is 5/5 for me! I toggle between their crispy pork belly Banh mi and their grilled pork Banh mi. Both are delicious and it is hard to choose between the two. Their egg rolls are a must try! Their spring rolls are fairly average, tasty but nothing to write home about, however I'm not a fan of their peanut sauce. This last trip I tried their new pork belly spring rolls which by far are the best spring rolls they offer and that comes with a different sauce that pairs perfectly with the rolls. The biggest knock is they often run out of items, I've encountered that on multiple occasions, on one occasion they ran out of bread and it was just before 1pm. I recommend placing an online order to both save time but more importantly to know what they have in stock at that time.
