Pho King Way

I am pretty picky when it comes to Pho. I have my favorite go to in garden grove or Westminster. However, living in south county finding a decent pho place is rare. This location in lake forest is surprisingly really good. My husband and I shared the XL Pho. We definitely could not finish it all. The broth was light, but favorable. Good ratio of noodles and meat. Will definitely be back.

It's hard to mess up grilled chicken, egg rolls and rice noodles but they did a great job. Stellar!Burned the egg rolls, the texture was weird too, the rice noodles were undercooked and how do you not boil that correctly it's ridiculous. Then there's the chicken which was really rubbery and hard. Very dissapointed. Service was not good either. The Pho King in Mission Viejo is better. The pho broth is LOADED WITH MSG and powdered bouillon. You'll be thirsty for hours after eating it. Stay away, there are far better places around. Doesn't seem like fresh beef bones are used unfortunately.

Expensive don't come here. The food isn't great. Hard to understand language. Order came out wrong

Been going here for a bit so this is long overdue but so far right now it holds the title of king of oc pho to me. Food is decently priced for the portions provided and the food comes out promptly no matter what you order. Where I have reservations to give it a 4 let alone a 5 is the fact that at points you don't really know if it'll go right or wrong. For example one time I took my dad here gassing this place up only for the meat to come at half portion or on his be mostly tripe despite that it t was a house special. Another time portions were good but not seasoned and therefore was bland. I love this place but I wish it was more consistent so I could afford to give it a 5 that it deserves on a good day.

We bought food for an offering for my late mother, as Vietnamese food was her favourite. I must say, the egg rolls and the bun we got were AMAZING!! I am so glad we don't have to drive all the way to GG or Westminster anymore! The fried rice was very delicious too, lots of flavor. The gentleman taking my order was incredibly kind and polite, and offered water while I waited just a moment at the restaurant. We will 100000% be back!

The name is the best thing about this place. The broth is just ok on the Pho. I've had so much better and with the ratings I was expecting much better food. The dining room felt old and dirty.

Just a quicky. Consumer Alert - I'm not an expert on PhoI have met friends here on and off over the years. We did stop during Covid and now we went back for the first time in a long time.Spring rolls - cold, fresh, tasty shrimp. Sauce is great with it.Pho - I got the small bowl with fatty brisket. You can get up to two meats with the basic Pho bowl, but I just wanted the fatty brisket. The bowls came out to our tables in minutes. The small bowl is very good size and the Pho is served with a side of Thai basil, jalapeños, bean sprouts, sriracha and another sauce I am not sure of. Dumped it all into the bowl and waited a bit for the broth to cool down. It was delicious. I scooped it all up to the last drop. The broth was tasty and the brisket was excellent. I will be back.Only funny things about the place was one of the servers was very concerned we were not ordering while waiting for our last buddy to show up. The place was not full, but he came many times to take our order. I ordered the spring rolls and a drink to calm him down. Ended up ordering as the last buddy was stuck in SoCal traffic.Go. Eat Well. ignore the order pressure, HAVE FUN!

My favorite pho place in South OC! I frequent the location in Mission Viejo and was so exited to try to Lake Forest location and it did not disappoint!! Service was fast & friendly, pho was absolutely delicious! Love the layout of the restaurant and how clean it is! Can't wait to come back!

Hate the name....crude PHO is pronounced FUH....get the joke???? As for the food, lacks flavor. And the place is not the cleanest

It's located in a big plaza with plenty of parking lots. Somebody greeted us when we first entered. Take order fast. Simple decors and a lot of tables and chairs. The Pho is good and price is cheap for quantity, quality and location. One thing I have to mention is, the iced tea here is $3.25/cup which is more expensive than most Viet restaurants. That is the only thing surprised me when I see the bill. Other than that, all good. Very good customer service. I'll be back when I have a chance to be around the area.
