The favorite coffee place in GG. Long line every single day. Specially for this Labor Day weekend.
Coconut coffee and Javacado
I like to request adding cinnamon in Vanilla Cold Brew cause it tastes similar to Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew so I can get it all year round

To start off, this establishment is found on a small street in Garden Grove. Parking is tough. I parked on the lot behind where the establishment is located. Behind Main Street, there is another street I had parked on called Grove Street. I felt that was more convenient. The walk wasn't too far from Phin's either. There was nice weather out thankfully.Stepping into the establishment, you hear conversations flying. It does get loud but it's still a cool atmosphere. The line, when I had got there was still inside the store. There is a reserved line space, outside the store, in case it does get packed inside. If you've been to Handel's ice cream before, the line placement is exactly like that except smaller.Once you order with the barista at their bar, you will wait for your order at the brown island across from the barista bar. There you will hear your name. After you retrieve your drink, you then go to pay at the register. This is my first time here. I saw this place on Instagram and thought I had to try it out. I'm glad I did. I had ordered one of their popular drinks here: a Large Iced Banana Coffee. It tastes exactly how it sounds and it tastes so smooth, with banana coming through and it's very refreshing.Aside from their yummy drinks, which I'm planning to come back and try, they sell merchandise for their store, pastries, and their own coffee. I really like this spot. I don't think it's great for working but to catch up with friends and family absolutely!

This is my favorite Vietnamese coffee spot!Coconut Coffee - Absolutely delicious, rich, and perfectly balanced. A must-try!Javacado (Avocado Coffee) - A unique and creamy blend. If you love avocado smoothies, this is a game-changer.Ambiance - Classic coffee shop vibes, cozy and great for hanging out or getting work done.Service - A bit hit or miss, but a nice perk is that you can taste before you buy, which is really helpful for trying new drinks.

Phin Smith is a coffee shop in Garden Grove serving a variety of Vietnamese drinks but also some other specialty coffees and teas. It's located on the Historical Main Street with a parking lot in the rear.CA PHE SUA DA ($5.25) - this is their classic Vietnamese coffee which was strong but not too sweet. They added hazelnut and cream foam (what they call "phin style") which I definitely recommend adding because it balanced out the strong coffee. Out of the three drinks this was our favorite.CA PHE BRÛLÉE ($5.50) - similar to the ca phe sua da the coffee was strong but the egg cream balanced out the drink.COCONUT COFFEE ($6) - this was ice-blended and had a strong coconut flavor. It was decent but I preferred the other two more. The good thing is that they make your drinks and can make adjustments based on your preferences. They have an open space with free wifi which make working here a good experience.

It was my first time here and I wish I came here sooner! I got the strawberry matcha with oat milk and it tasted so good. The matcha and strawberry flavor balance each other out, it tastes like a strawberry matcha pocky! The service was fast considering there could be a line, and the ambiance is a great place to study or chill with friends.I'd definitely come again to try their other drinks!

Whenever in the area, my go to coffee shop. All the drinks I've had here next disappointed but my go-to drinks are either the coconut coffee which is a blended coconut base with shot of expresso or the banana coffee which has a yummy banana flavor that isn't artificial tasting. The service here is always quick and they always check to see if you like you coffee or need any adjustments.

Phin Smith, famous for its banana latte, is somewhat a across from Costco and adjacent to Home Depot. The signage is brown and blends into the building, so I missed it twice. The non-contrasting color doesn't stand out so look for the Vespa and outdoor red umbrella. There is plenty parking on the side lot so I aways wondered why cars are circling on the limited spaces on the Main Street. Upon entering, you see several tables occupied by folks sipping on the coffee and catching up on social media as everyone seems to be on the phone/computer. The line to order is along the left wall and the ordering system is different. We wait until the barista calls you, and takes your order, but there are 5 -7 barista, each creating drinks for the patrons they took the orders from the bar. We waited until our drinks are ready, pick up the drink(s) and pay at another station.

Loveeeeee. Super nice staff, spacious indoors, some outdoors seating, and amazing drink options. I got the blueberry matcha blend and it was sooo good. 10/10. I want to try the coconut coffee & other blend options here the next time I come. The cafe is on the louder side because there are a lot of people coming to chat but I personally don't mind loud cafes.

Phin smith will forever be my favorite place for all things coffee and tea! Their flavors are perfect and they have a wide variety of drinks (not so many you are overwhelmed, but enough to switch it up often). The baristas there are super kind and helpful. If you haven't tried a drink before, they will make you a new one if you try it and don't like it. I used to drive every weekend from Santa Barbara and made sure to stop by this location in Garden Grove every time I was in the area!!!! They used to have a barista named David who would always walk my order to me which is above and beyond. Marla was also so sweet! The ambiance is pretty loud but lovely and welcoming. Lots of people studying and working from here during the day. Usually wearing headphones haha. Banana coffee is a must but no drink will ever disappoint!!! Also they have another business just down the block with more coffees, pastries, food and more! Go check it out !!!
