A lovely time. The outdoor balcony tables are lovely if you can get them, although the sun can be a bit blinding and burning if the shade lowering isn't being paid much attention to - still worth it for the views and experience haha. Food is of excellent quality, possibly a bit pricey even for what's provided but, still quite excellent and enjoyable. Pair it with a lovely walk of the grounds and you've got yourself a solid afternoon plan. Service was humorous and personable, which is always appreciated in a higher end establishment such as this.

Went here for lunch recently. My friend ordered a Caesar salad with steak and I got a wedge salad with steak. Salads were small for the price and unremarkable. Steaks was an expected small portion and only just ok. Starter bread was comped and warm but did not taste fresh. All this plus 2 iced teas and 2 cappuccinos for $140 incl tip. Not worth it. Positives: Service and views were amazing

We went on Thanksgiving but the holiday decorations were already all up! The vibes were cozy and upscale. Prices were reasonable for the atmosphere and food quality. Some dishes are quite creative. Our server also made great recommendations for first time customers. Advise: request outdoor balcony tables if it doesn't get dark during your meal

The hotel staff recommended this restaurant for lunch and mentioned it was upscale but based on the menu and it being next to the golf course, we didn't think much of it. We walked over for lunch with our sleeping baby in the stroller and the hostess made a face when we said we didn't have a reservation (the place was empty!). The staff stared at our stroller...though they have a kids menu, I quickly got the feeling it's not a stroller kind of spot, oops . Once we were seated, our waiter and service was friendly and prompt. They had a decent selection of crowd pleaser lunch dishes. Food was generously portioned and decent in quality, cocktail was good, but all items a bit overpriced and not necessarily stand out ($24 for a cocktail, $38 for a sandwich). The tuna tostadas were the best item, pretty delicious. This spot is a little pretentious for what it is, but overall was a pleasant experience with a great view.

Service is very good. Appointment is necessary although it was not too much people. The restaurant has a very nice view. Worth to try.

The resort itself is so lovely and beautiful. The restaurant is of course gorgeous as well. I ordered the Chilean seabass which was absolutely delicious. It was so buttery and the top was perfectly crispy. A must have! Not only was the service at the restaurant great, the resort staff were just as helpful and kind. There was a driver who offered to drive us from one part of the resort to the other. Overall, wonderful experience and will come back!

Beautiful location and delicious food that makes for a perfect weekend lunch. My party had a reservation for 5 for a Saturday lunch, we had requsted a patio dining area prior to our arrival. When we arrived, we were told that we no longer had an outside dining table and none were available, which was a slight letdown as we were expecting to be seated where we requeted. We were able to get a table inside, and the servers did try their best to seat us where we wanted.Service was great and attentive, and promptly checked to our needs and let us know when our food was arriving. I was pleasantly suprised by how good the food was given that many other resorts have pretty mediocre food. Prices are as expected, and will be around $20-40 a person depending on what you order.I personally ordred the New York Strip sandwhich, but if I had to go back and choose, go for the chilean sea bass.

Sea bass continues to be our favorite. Roast beef dip was amazing with a perfectly crisp bread, flavorful beef, and golden fries. We split the order for a smaller lunch portion. Some honey with the house rolls was an excellent idea. Still can't beat the spectacular view and excellent service!

Such a change (not good) from the last visit. Service was still good. Aaron tried his best but don't think the kitchen had its act together. Drinks were not made very well and looked very ordinary. I mean no garnish, did not taste good and seemed watered down. Ordered a flat bread to start with and it did not arrive until after our entrees had been served. Our entrees were a lobster roll, an ahi tuna sandwich, a pasta and a salad. Very ordinary. Lacking flavors. I wonder what happened.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pelican Hills Grill in Newport Beach, and once again it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The interior is beautifully designed, with elegant decor that creates a cozy yet sophisticated ambiance. The view of the coastline from the outside dining area is absolutely stunning, making it the perfect spot for a memorable meal. The menu offers a fantastic variety of dishes, and everything we ordered was beyond delicious. We started with half a dozen of the raw Oysters and Crab Cake, both were fresh and flavorful. For the main course, I had their wood fire baked Pizza, which was very yummy. The BF had the Risotto which was packed with flavors. It was slightly undercooked but our server, Fletcher, was quick to make things right by offering to bring us a new one. The presentation of each dish was impeccable. The service from Fletcher was outstanding. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful dining experience, and it really showed.Overall, Pelican Hills Grill is a true gem in Newport Beach. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great meal with a view, this place is a must-visit. I can't wait to return!#PelicanHillsGrill #NewportBeach #DiningWithAView #DeliciousEats
