Onotria Wine Country Cuisine

I knew this would be an authentic Italian dining experience when I first walked in. The aroma brought me right back to Italy. Mossimo is as genuine as it gets.

This phenomenally great restaurant sparkles with authenticity and delicious flavors. Simple, high quality ingredients and perfect wine pairings are the stars here. The owner, Massimo, presides over everything and ensure perfection. The restaurant offers an intimate setting that's perfect for celebrations or date night.

Another stellar experience at Onotrio. We participated in an event of wine and food tasting. The experience was top notched and everything we had was fantastic. Hearing the descriptions of the wine, it's region, the way it's produced was a learning experience. Then listening to Massimo share his thoughts on how he designed the food pairing based on the characteristics of the wine was fascinating. And now, I'm sure I have had truffles based on Massimo's knowledge of this product. It's just a wonderful experience. A special space that transport the diner to Italy

Great atmosphere. Good food. Smalll setting with great Wine and food options. A very small venue with unique options for anyone.

Loved the pleasant service, delicious food, and comfortable setting. Had amazing white asparagus, burrata over avocado, awesome house made gelato (chocolate and cherry), creme brûlée, superb poached pear dessert. Bella is a doll. Love her cattle dog too. Not heavily invested in expensive real estate, furniture or fixtures. Gives them more to invest in creative cooking, people, and awesome ingredients.

Had the pesto pasta. Noodles were amazing and definitely tasted homemade. The sauce was also perfection. The branzino was also super good and delicious as well. Wine also perfect. Place is great with Excellent staff too

WOW THIS is like Dinner, a show and Food history class. Chef Massimo incorporates Italian history, food history and art into your Onotria dining experience. He is so knowledgeable about EVERY wine region and how that wine relates to the different regions of food. Home made dishes from incredible appetizers to farm fresh combinations of fresh veggies, meats, pastas and wines. Sit down, buckle in and take the FOODIE EXTRAVAGANZA OF YOUR LIFE. IF I COUKD HAVE GIVEN THEM 10 stars I would.

Spectacular! A foodie's restaurant. I've been to a significant number of Michelin-starred restaurants in SoCal and the cuisine here holds its own. Stellar, seasonal, creative dishes paired with a great wine list at reasonable prices, all in a cozy setting. Exceedingly high quality ingredients. I can't ask for more. Staff is all wonderful.

I don't know why there isn't a long line out in front of this restaurant every night. It is a small restaurant in a location that is slightly off the restaurant beaten path. But it is Onotria, the same owner and chef as the previous iteration of Onotria that has been one of the most highly regarded restaurants in Orange County - and definitely on of the best Italian restaurants in the county for many years. The original Onotria took a hiatus for a few years but is back now in its new location with excellent food - perhaps now a little more innovative and modern. The service also excellent with a little more warmth and attentiveness thrown in, perhaps a consequence of the small venue. There were four of us, we all sampled each other's food and all agreed that it was outstanding as was the service. It's great to have Onotria back. It's definitely one of the "must try " Italian restaurants in The OC.
