Oishii

I'm not sure if this place is still in business. When I went, there were only two other parties in there and I heard recently someone couldn't find it. If it's still there, go for their:+ Lunch specials for $5.95Bowl of Udon Noodle Soup and at least 8 pieces of CA roll. ORBowl of Udon Noodle Soup and a platter of Korean bbq.The soup was basic. Noodles something you could buy at Ranch 99 but there was lots of it! And it was pretty good. Lots of Korean BBQ for the price. Like 2 meals in one!Not super exciting, but the food was good and filling.

I was headed for Do Re Mi in the same plaza but changed my mind and decided to try Oishii instead. The atmosphere and decor is standard storefront strip mall - menu board above the cash register, big screen TV playing a Korean station, with half a dozen tables and one person acting as waitress and cashier. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Box which included the chicken, rice, 4 California Rolls, 5 pieces of tempura, iceburg lettuce salad and miso soup. The chicken was totally bland in a tasteless clear sauce. California Rolls were standard using fake crab salad. The miso soup tasted funny (can't make a better description). However the tempura was very good. 1 piece of shrimp and 4 vegetables all with a very crisp coating. Next time I'll just get tempura.
