Oh La Vache

I come here for the sandwiches. The offerings are different every day and every one I've tried was better than the last in a very good way! I also enjoy getting the truffle potato chips as I am a huge truffle fan. One thing that stands out about this shop is its service. I've been here at times when there was almost no room to walk around because there was so many people and at times when I was the only customer in there. Every single time the staff was super friendly! So friendly to the point that I'm walking out with a smile on my face feeling like I just spent hours with a long lost friend. Highly recommend this shop!

It's a sin that I didn't discover this place earlier! The Hey Brother bread that they stock is some of the most amazing bread ever (I was first introduced to this baker through the Heritage menu). I just wish that they stock more bread, since there have been a few times I went to the store right at opening, and they did not have any ciabatta to spare :(I love that this is a one-stop shop for all my charcuterie/sandwich needs. You are allowed to sample any number of their cheeses that they have displayed so that you can curate the perfect cheese board! I'm a big fan of the Ewephoria (haha) and the truffle gouda that they have. They also have a great selection of italian meats, so you can grab some freshly cut prosciutto and guanciale! Their pre-made sandwiches are also super delicious and well worth the price in my opinion. Indeed, Oh La Vache is probably my favorite shop in all of Long Beach.

Cheese please!So I needed to get some appetizers for a small get-together with some friends and thought a cheese/charcuterie board would be a unique and new offering.I searched for any local cheese shops and came across Oh La Vache.Good: Ordering was very easy on their website, placed an order for pick up the next day. The finished product was fresh and looked beautiful and was a hit at the party. Good variety and presentation. The shop is clean and unassuming. Order was packed up and ready to go when I arrived.Could be Better: Parking, parking, parking. I hate to mark down a place for things out of their control, but parking is terrible. Street parking is very limited. Public parking is available a couple of blocks away. Hours are a bit limited, it would be nice if they were open earlier for larger order pick ups and before the afternoon rush for other businesses in the area. Not a cheese expert, but the medium platter was fairly pricey. Together with a couple boxes of crackers and tip, I paid over $150. No options to choose what you want on the platters, I would have left it up to their expertise any way but I'm sure some folks would be more selective. When I entered the shop for pick up, I didn't feel welcomed. The 2 workers were just chatting with each other and didn't acknowledge me.All and all a good experience, I Will definitely return until I find a better option.

I'm a cheese lover and forever I've been tempted to come in just that the hours aren't very convenient for my schedule. I love the post with their daily sandwiches, I told one of my gf about it and she wanted to treat me for a birthday lunch, so turns out there's no space to eat there. So we had to cancel it cause walking around looking for a spot wasn't in our plans, too bold to be outdoors and today she kindly called and said I'm picking up sandwiches, so what do you want!? She ordered several sandwiches bcs she had all of her 4 kids. So I was excited to see they had a turkey burrata and pesto... Love love love burrata pesto. It was quite tasty, will be back. My friend didn't enjoy it as much as I did cleaned out whole sandwich, oh yeah it was big!!! and her kids didn't appreciate the gourmet deliciousness so much! :( So yeah the only sucky part is there's no seating and ohhhh you can't change anything in the sandwiches, they are pre made, I got so lucky cause I loved everything in this one! happy new year!

My partner loves cheese and I like good goat cheese for dietary reasons. This is near 4th and Cherry where parking is a bit tight but we got lucky find a spot in the corner public lot. NOTE: it was Sunday and the parking attendant was dutifully checking plates vs payment so use that pay kiosk if you park there. The place is a bit small but if felt like they a selection of cheese, meats, wine and treats :) that made the place feel bigger. The people behind the counter had enough knowledge to give you confidence that you've made good choices! A good place to go if you need a formal charcuterie tray or a picnic lunch!

This is the spot for cheese. A great selection! And nice selection of meats at very reasonable prices. Their sandwich selection is limited but you can't create your own. They have fresh bread in the window and you can just get some meats and cheeses and eat it like you're in Paris. You can sample whatever and the staff is sweet and attentive. This is a must not miss spot and a cool neighborhood. A wide selection of gourmet accoutrements you cannot find anywhere else.

My family was craving cheese so we yelped charcuterie boards and found Oh La Vache. We were greeted as we walked in and offered samples. Everyone was attentive, easy going, and helpful. The store is in a great location, well decorated, and stocked. There were so many food items, snacks, and gifts for purchase. I will definitely visit again soon! The cheeses were fresh, exotic, and tasty so we purchased a small charcuterie board with select cheeses, meats, nuts, and veggies. It was delicious! My family of 4 nearly devoured the entire tray. We Iook forward to trying new cheeses and meats on our next visit.

What to get the dad who has everything for his birthday? Cheese and meat, of course. I was tasked with appetizers for a birthday dinner at home and have been wanting to check out this place for a while so I ordered a small charcuterie board on their website. 4 days notice. Plenty of time. Got a text and email the day it was ready which also was nice. $70 for a small board which sounds pricey but is not for how much you get. It was just four of us but this could easily feed 6-8 people. Pick up was quick and easy. They recommended taking it out of fridge one hour prior to consuming. We did and it was excellent. The nuts and veggies def had a spice to it and it worked well with the board. They do remind you no bread or crackers come with it. So we just picked up a baguette and crackers nearby but they have options in the store as well. Plus you get to keep the metal board as well . Would definitely recommend this place and now I have my eye on the "cheese of the month club" aka COTM. Life's too short to eat average cheese. Check them out

Checked the spot out yesterday when I was in the area and hungry for some lunch. They have an excellent cheese selection, but What is even better, they have about 5 sandwiches to offer. We ordered the prosciutto pesto and the ham and both were delicious. The bread was super fresh, the meat to cheese ratio was perfect and the other toppings complemented the cheese very well. They have good drinks to choose from and lots of different chips as well. I highly recommend for a lunch stop and also if you want some good cheese !

I love cheese so this shop was everything I have ever wanted to experience. They have utensils, jams, honey, wine, etc. I was able to try cheese similar to my favorite cheeses like mozzarella and burrata because the women in the shop knew other cheeses that would fit my palate. I really enjoyed that. I also tried one of the sandwiches they offer daily. The turkey pesto on ciabatta was delicious! I will be back :)
