You cannot walk past this place without ordering something! Their cookies, cakes, pastries, potato balls, and empanadas... seriously, your wallet might take a hit, but your stomach will thank you.I love their massive potato balls--honestly, better than Porto's (IMO). Their cookies? Dense, rich, and baked to perfection. Perfect for sharing... or just devouring yourself. I tried their mocha, matcha, and chocolate chip cookies, and I still can't get enough.This spot is a true hole-in-the-wall gem. Order from the pastry case, grab something from their kitchen menu, or pick up a drink. Trust me, you'll thank me later. Haha

I've tried this place once before, but to be honest the food was not as good as I remember it. To be fair the food is still really delicious and I would recommend it and I probably would consider coming again for the food but my main issue was with the woman working in the front desk. She had a gray sweater and glasses and had tattoos and she was very rude not only to me, but to the another lady who she was helping. I was asking her for her advice and preference with the menu and she would tell me " i don't know it's all good. It's all up to you" Working fast food can be really difficult, but I didn't want to write a review until I went to the register and I paid and as soon as she charged me, she just walked away and started helping another customer without even asking me if I want to bag or utensils or if I needed anything else . She just straight up, walked away and didn't acknowledge me at all. Did not say thank you or nothing. Good food Rude employee :/ Sucks to see such a great place be ruined by their employees :/

Been wanting to try this place for a while and it did not disappoint! We ordered a handful of items, but here are the ones I've tried so far:Chicken Ball: SOOO good! The portion size was great and it was nice and crispy on the outside while the inside was oozing with cheese and flavor. When I've tried items like this in the past they were super salty, but this one was perfect!Ropa Vieja Empanada: Again super delicious and great portion size. I liked eating it with the orange/beige sauce but the green salsa was pretty good too. The pastry of the empanada was a great thickness so the filling/outer layer ratio was perfect. Wish I got more to bring home.Oreo Cheesecake: Nothing super spectacular or unique, but pretty good! I'm not a huge fan of oreo cheesecake, but I had a few bites and enjoyed.Overall, super yummy and can't wait to come back to try their sandwiches and other items!

A refreshing find while working in Long Beach. A perfect stop for lunch and/or coffee and a sweet treat. Service is prompt and friendly. Prices are right on the money for the quality and freshness. A small walk up and order spot full of Cuban bakery authenticity.

A great spot for Cuban sweet treats, savory snacks like empanadas or potato balls, or meals like Cuban sandwiches. I tried the tres leches latte and it was really good. If you have a sensitivity to sweet food it may be too sweet. However I enjoyed it. I tried a beef potato ball that had good potato and beef portions, and beef empanada which was delicious. There's so much to try here. Hot tip: parking is difficult here and there's 2 seating options. You'll want to plan to order to go.

Came here on a whim today and ordered 9 empanadas.2 breakfast 1 Cuban - a bit dry 1 sausage and potato1 chicken 1 beef2 seafood paella (seasonal) - delicious 1 jalapeñoEach one is $4.39 except the seasonal flavor this time was $4.99. Comes with mayo and green salsa sauce.

Obra! How I had so much confidence in this place being good. Let's get into the tea of it all. I came as a first timer with my mother because she had requested to come here. I didn't realize I had this place saved in my yelp as well! So it looks like we both have been meaning to try this place out. What was ordered: Ropa Vieja empanada Beef and potato empanada Cuban empanada Breakfast sandwich Chicken potato ballBeef potato ball Iced tres leches latte I ended up personally trying the breakfast sandwich and tres leches latte on site. The breakfast sandwich was not something I would order again. I believe the ketchup they added overpowered any other flavor in the sandwich. It felt more sweet than anything-- I was expecting more savory. The beef and potato empanada was nothing special to me, the dough felt a little dry and old almost. There wasn't much flavor for me to really enjoy it either. It felt like I had more of a potato empanada than anything. The Cuban empanada was amazing! This one I would come back to order again. I absolutely loved it. I added the chipotle mayo to it which complemented it so well. The ropa vieja empanada !??? THIS ONE! This is the one I'd easily buy a dozen of. This was the most flavor packed delicious empanada I've ever had. The meat was tender, had the right amount of salt and seasoning to it. The chimichurri sauce was the best friend to this empanada. Chicken potato ball..? Not a fan. No salt or seasoning, I felt like I was eating fried mashed potatoes. But that beef potato ball?? Oh yeah. That's the one. I would eat 6 easy. No problem. Absolutely beautifully made, don't change the recipe please cause that beef potato ball is gorgeous. The tres leches latte I adjusted to have 2 pumps of sugar free vanilla instead of 3 pumps full sugar vanilla. This I would come back for. It was an absolutely scrumptious coffee! And they put light ice without request so you really get a bang for your buck. Customer service was amazing! The cashier was absolutely the sweetest and patient when deciding on what to order. This is a small place so beware with the limited seating outside and the cramped high stool seating against the wall.

Tres Leches Latte: very little coffee flavor, so faint for a second I thought I just ordered a glass of milk. Didn't really enjoy this drink. Sounded yummy but fell flat. Vegan empanada: yummy. Love that this place offers a vegan option, definitely flavorful. Chicken Curry empanada: this one was my fav. Super tasty and would order again. Potato Beef Ball/ Potato Chicken Ball: both are super delicious!!! I liked the potato beef ball more than the chicken. Would def recommend the potato beef ball. Chicken empanada and Cuban empanada: I'd pass on these. Service: fast and friendly. There was a line but it went by quickly.Inside is small but there is some indoor seating, as well as outside.

Food was great we got a beef and chicken potato ball a breakfast burrito and a Cuban sandwich along with an iced almond Tres leche latte. 10/10 food service and and ambience the ladies were very sweet and tentative. We found a local spot we are going to visit.

Came here for a quick bite and was it didn't disappoint! We went in the evening around 4:30 on Saturday and had ordered online for pickup but when we showed up there wasn't any wait.We got 5 empanadas- chicken, beef, curry chicken, ropa vieja, and bbq pork. They were fresh and crispy. Our favorites were the ropa vieja and the curry chicken which had the most flavor. The beef and chicken were good but definitely needed sauce, which they also provided! The cilantro sauce and green salsa were excellent. We also got one chicken and one beef potato ball to share. They were HUGE. Much larger than expected and just as tasty as they looked! This was plenty of food/more than enough for two people.The staff were very nice providing extra sauces free of charge and there are a couple tables outside and 4 seats indoor. It was very clean and a great place to stop by for a quick snack.
