Was wandering around Artesia for lunch on a Monday which is a bad day fyi since most Indian eateries are closed but we stumbled upon this location. Bangladesh. Only been here 1 year and they're in the same mini-mall as the ice cream store Saffron Spot. Wow look at this lunch special! What a deal for $11.99. I didn't even take a photo of the dal that's included. It's usually 1 meat and 2 veggies with dal & paratha for $11.99 but the hubby got 2 meat (fish and chicken) and dal with the paratha. Chicken was mild and fish had a kick. It's $9.99 if you want Naan/rice plate instead of paratha. Everything very tasty. I wasn't planning to eat lunch (just drink something) and didn't realize I needed it lol. The chai was great without sugar.

OK. I was cheated there. I bought 10.5 KG of Rohu Fish. We eat the fish all the time as I grew up eating. so I selected the fish and ask him to clean with 3 to 4 inch steaks. When I came back, the guy me Salamalaykum, which is good, I asked him to weight the fish again. I saw he was hesitating, then he said fishes never the same after cutting because there is a lot of water. I should have understood then. I forced him to weigh anyways and it came out to be 8.5 KG. Please note that weighing is after gutting. I argued with my little bit, but I started feeling bad for some reason. Cheaters can really make you feel empathetically guilty. So I came home and ate the fish today. I realized it was not the fish I selected and order him to cut. They go inside to cut the fish where you can't see them. He probably took two small fishes and cut them and give me one head. How can I say? Experience of eating fish all my life I can tell you ordering a big fish tastes different than small fish. Small one has lot of small bones etc. Really feels bad being cheated. I'm doing my small thing writing reviews for others to see and be careful. I don't think this shop does good. It won't people are cheated like this.

We went to notun bazaar yesterday for lunch, and the food was delicious very fresh. The owner was very friendly. We love Indian food, but this one tasted really good and authentic. Even have a great bizarre where you could buy goat meat and everything we will definitely come back and try other things. The price was very fair and we are happy and satisfied customer. We tried to Samosa the lunch special when you get two vegetable and a meat, and then we finished off with the thumbs up soda to give it the authentic Indian cuisine taste! Will be back for sure

Would never go there again and would not recommend this place to my friends and family.Yesterday, April 3, 2024, we were on 12 hours road trip from one City to another via Artesia. We were not fasting due to the longer trip. We made a stop to eat food and get something for our dinner. They charged us $85 for 3 dishes, 3 rothi, and 3 paratha. The dishes were not delicious either, and seemed like last night stuff just placed on oven for us. So disappointed with everything. Overall a $50 food for $85, and on the top, not even fresh and delicious.

The new Chicken biryani capitol of LA!!Stumbled on to this new restaurant. Authentic & absolutely delicious! This is what real South Asian food cooked expertly tastes like. This is Jackson Heights level. Highly recommend for you foodies and Indian / south Asian food fans. Biryani is 10/10, rice had the authentic Old Dhaka flavor, not overly spicy or too dry or just curry mixed with rice. Also had shami kabobs, chicken tandoori. Both were also excellent. Tandoori had the bengali style flavor from mother land not the watered down, heavy food colored, low flavor tandoori you get in most desi places / buffets. This is now my new goto Indian / Bengali / South Asian spot! Definitely on the regular weekly rotation. For those of you looking for a date spot, this is not it. It's like most great ethnic spots it has grocery next door. It's clean inside but it's not for people that value affluent ambience over unique delicious food. Taste: 10/10Service: 9/10Ambience: 6/10PS: Whoever is the chef, well done sir! You are a Jedi.
