The fruit-ades are definitely prime. The shine muscadine grape-ade was rockin. The katsu sandos were excellent, I devoured the ume goat cheese katsu sandwich. My wife also really enjoyed her curry katsu sandwich. I personally recommend you tru the potato puffs, and dip in curry. The sauce they come with is good, but the puff/curry slaps.Service was excellent! The owner was the cashier who was very helpful, and polite .Its a small private owned business located in a small shopping center, the dinning room is cozy and well lit. A local artist tagged a mural on the back wall , the restaurant is well lit and there's probably seating for 25? Too bad I don't live near Fullerton because id be eating at Mr. Katsu weekly.

I got the habanero pesto katsh and it had a nice kick to it from the habanero. For some reason, the katsu cutlet seems to be a lot thinner since the last time I had it. I remember it being much thicker and bigger. The sandwich is still relatively big so I was able to eat half and save the other half for later. I also got the curry croquets and those were so delicious! I would order them again if I came but I wish it came with more because its a bit pricey for the amount/size you get. For the katsu sandwiches, I heard the goat cheese one is popular so I will need to come back to try it.The service was really fast and I came during lunch hours on a weekday. The place is a bit small but there is a good amount of seating. Some small tables and bigger tables that you can push together if you have a large party.

A solid place for a katsu fix! This local place has a variety of katsu sandwiches, all of which are hearty in size and taste. Located in a strip mall, so there is plenty of free parking. The service was kind and easy. The lady working behind the counter was so nice and patient as I decided on what to order. The place is pretty casual, I noticed many groups of friends just coming here to catch up and have a good bite. I tried the Habanero Pesto and Katsu Curry sandwiches. The habanero actually had a good little kick to it, and didn't overwhelm the flavor profile of the sandwich, especially with the slaw to balance it out. You can't go wrong with a classic katsu curry. I would love to come back to try the other sandwiches!

I am also kind of a katsu snob and I adore the thicker cuts of Japanese katsu (Korean katsu has its place in my heart though!), and that is exactly what Mr. Katsu serves up! The cutlet didn't taste gamey -- probably my ultimate American pork fear -- and it was sufficiently crispy. I got the katsu salad, which is like the original sandwich but deconstructed. The slaw was cooked and I don't know how I feel about it still, but it was not bad and the portion was pretty solid. I was not a fan of the sesame dressing but the katsu sauce served as a fine sauce for the cabbage as well. The fries were pretty fire though -- the fries themselves were just okay but they were doctored up in quite the combination of mayo and kalbi sauce and bits.Service is a little slow but the katsu is fresh so I guess you have to sacrifice a bit sometimes! It's located in a plaza and it's not super duper busy (but a decent number of people come in and out).

Great food for a decent price, especially during happy hour. The Habanero Pesto Sandwich was great, even enjoying the coleslaw which is something I usually can't stand in other food. My biggest gripe is that potato puffs are really dense and became a chore to eat. Would recommend

Mr Katsu has been perfecting their Katsu Sandwhiches for over 10 years in the Fullterton area. I just recently visited and was able to meet the owners, who have been running the business in the area for over 10 years. It is a local gem and one that I wish was closer to where I live. They recently just started a cafe menu offering korean style drinks, such as various fruit ades or fruity milk lattes. Their fruit is imported from Korea, and all the purees they make are in house with that same frut. Highly reccomend going for their Shine Muskat Ade, a flavor that you see commonly in Asia and glad to see it popping up in OC!The Katsu sandwiches always use never frozen meat and stack your sandwhich with generous toppings so each sandwhich is super filling. I ordered the Habenero Pesto, Curry Katsu Sandwhich, a Shine Muskat Ade, a Strawberry Latte and their fried potato puffs. The sandwiches were delicious, fresh and you could tell had good ingredients. If you want to support local and eat a hearty katsu sandwhich, you gotta stop by Mr Katsu.

A great Japanese sandwich place with a great balance of ingredients. The bread is amazing, the fried pork was tender and juicy, and the veggies they added really brought everything together. You get much more veggies in the sandwich than you would typically get with a fried sandwich. This sandwich was a pleasure, not a guilty one. The curry bowl was good, as you'd expect. Really loved the potato puffs and the sauce that came along with it. They are very filling though, so it was a challenge finishing them all.

7/10They have a large variety of Katsu sandwiches along with some comfort sides to share with your friends. This place is such a great place to hang out and chat while eating delicious Katsu dishes. The foods I got were yummy but I feel like there were better dishes I should've tried like their habanero pesto sando and W.T.F.F. Yakisoba sando $12: 4/5 The Katsu was massive! I've never had a sandwich with noodles in it before so this was definitely something new for me! I loved the texture of the noodles in the warm toasted bread topped off with some in-house spicy mayo. I wish it had a bit more sauce though! Katsu bowl $12: 3/5 this was a giant piece of Katsu on top of a bed of rice and coleslaw on the side. The katsu was super crispy and tender! I wasn't a big fan of their sauce but the Katsu was good enough to eat on its own. I would probably get the curry one next time.

This place has nice katsu. You can have it with rice or bread. The curry was quite good. They put a lot of potatoes in it. The katsu piece was thick. The flavor was a bit too strong for me. I think the panko outside could be less cooked. The ade had great sweet scent to it, although it tasted a bit too sweet. They use fruits from Korea. Great price though, try it if you're in the area!
