We landed at Mozambique for dinner and bought a table to ring in the new year. Unfortunately, the bands were not danceable in my opinion. (I was definitely misled) I think they have some kinks to work out as far as the management and staff issues . I pleaded with them to turn the music down to a level that we could at least have a conversation during dinner and I was told they needed to keep the vibe up. I'm not sure what's going on with this new club portion of Mozambique . I think we definitely expected more higher quality for Laguna Beach folks. We did enjoy the food.

The food itself is 3/5 stars. If i had a complaint i'd say to please bring the flavor out, our dishes tasted a little lacking, however the flavors that WERE present were tasteful and pleasant, but please bring MORE flavor.The ambiance was 4/5 stars, parking is very accommodating off the busy street and the ocean view is great. Martin was our server, thank you Martin for the awesome service. From the jump Martin made myself and my girlfriend feel very accommodated, offered various suggestions and ultimately made the experience much more pleasurable. We Will absolutely be back to try more food, as we only had 3 dishes (South African style pot pie, woodfired porkchop and peri peri chicken) oh we also got the bread pudding as well which was fire. All in all i hope to see success in this establishments future, a great date night spot, family friendly venue with great staff

10/10 !!!! Everything about this place was amazing ! Immediately walking up to the restaurant we were greeted by tropical birds which was a nice touch . The service 10/10 , the host was very nice and prompt. The ambiance/ view was absolutely stunning nice houses one way then the beach the other way ! We ate on the roof top ! Which is right next to a fully stocked bar I ordered the house martini and it was a little bit more on the sweet side so I'll give that a 6 /10 for food I had the lamb chops and cauliflower , every bite was magic in my mouth bursting with flavor ! Cooked to perfection seasoned just right ! I would definitely be back to try more . Side note they also have live music which we didn't stay this time but also looks nice .

We had lunch and it was OC restaurant week. We had the special menu. The Mediterranean salad was excellent. The pork chop was delicious with an interesting bbq sauce. Bread pudding is a good choice for dessert. We liked the interior. They have rooftop that we did not utilize. Too windy. Service was superb. His was our first visit. We will come back

Mozambique exceeded our expectations in every way! We had a reservation for 4 and they sat us on the rooftop which was beautiful at sunset! Our server was so nice and accommodating and gave us amazing recommendations! I ordered the prego steak sandwich and red sangria and it was DELICIOUS! The food also came out very quickly and the heaters kept us very cozy. Definitely will be returning! :)

my large party and i came to celebrate a very special birthday dinner. the vibes were immaculate from views, to service, to food quality. the cocktails were surprisingly strong served in their plastic cup. since we had a preset menu our options were limited but everything tasted great. the chicken and shrimp was a favorite, but i also tried the steak. dessert was quite sweet, which was a bit much for me but i guarantee you won't regret it. dining on the rooftop is a must. also the restaurant is huge! looking for the bathroom revealed a maze!

I can't believe it took us so long to finally try this gem.They have a huge lot for valet - $10 and they will charge your electric vehicle while you dine. When you enter you pass by their cute parot and tucan! This was such a huge for the kids - they are asking when they can see Nancy again.We were sat inside at our request and got there just in time for the live music. The singer was really great and added to the ambiance. They not only have high chairs but they provide coloring sheets and crayons for kids which is a major plus! The kids food was impressive - we got them grilled salmon! I love being able to find healthy options for the kids so thanks for that option. Yes, we paired it with fries but they devoured it. It also included a scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert which they really enjoyed.We started off with the samosas - meat. They were served with a delicious green cilantro lime aioli sauce. Not greasy. Thinly wrapped and crispy.We ordered the mixed grill to share. The shrimp and the filet were the standouts and delicious! The char they got on both were so flavorful and smokey perfection. The chicken was strongly seasoned so not my favorite and I don't eat sausage but N said they were ok. He agreed that next time we would order the filet and shrimp dishes.Service was excellent. Attentive and friendly staff.Really looking forward to returning here again soon. The view upstairs I bet is great for sunset when it is warm enough.

My boyfriend brought me here for brunch on Valentine's Day and it was just a breath taking view! The people were so nice and friendly. The food menu was limited for brunch and I definitely would like to try the dinner menu sometime soon. I did wish they had a steak option for brunch/lunch time instead of a steak burger. With that said the steak burger was phenomenal and huge! Would definitely have it again! We also had the calamari and sweet potato fries which were just as delicious! I hope to be back again soon! Bonus: there are these super friendly and beautiful parrots downstairs and the blue female loves to climb people's arms/shoulders although very friendly they still bite so be cautious when interacting with them, otherwise they are beautiful birds.
