Mint Julep Bar

This drink is so refreshing! After walking miles around the park this is the perfect location to sit in the shade and recharge yourself. I preferred the original flavor, instead of the seasonal offering this summer with the peaches. It was still good, but the original just hits the spot everytime. Even if there is a long line, it moves very quickly. And of course it was Disney level service. Kind, attentive and helpful. You can also order Mickey shaped beignets here, but honestly I was underwhelmed by them. They were more like a powered sugar donut. Kids love them but I would pass on them next time for myself. Tip: if you do get the beignets shake the bag before you tear it open. I made the mistake one time and some of the beignets were not perfectly coated. Dusting that sugar after is somewhat impossible. Also, get lots of napkins. Wetnaps would be ideal!

If you are at Disneyland, there are no desserts that are more iconic than the churros and beignets. The churros can be found on carts all over the park, but beignets can only be had here and at Cafe Orleans (which requires advanced reservation). If you want to partake in the light, sugar coated doughnuts at the Julep bar, then here are my recommendations:1) Mobile order your beignet order around the time you expect to complete your ride at Tiana's, Pirates of the Caribbean, or Haunted Mansion, so you won't have to be in a long line.2) They will always have a seasonal flavor, but the original powdered sugar is always the best option. What to know about the seasonal flavors is that they're typically a flavored powdered sugar that coats your doughnut. In my last two visits, I had a banana beignet and a chocolate hazelnut beignet, but the flavored sugars could not beat a plain powdered sugar. 3) The doughnuts are light and fluffy, so go ahead and buy six to share with friends. Having the sweet treat with a coffee isn't a bad idea either. You deserve it!Lastly, If you are in the area and you want a beignet without the Disneyland reservation, then you could actually get a legit beignet at Downtown Disney at Beignets Expressed from the famous Brennan family of New Orleans. Though the beignets outside the park are different, the banana foster beignet is a sight to behold. One thing that the Julep bar has, however, is that the beignets in the park are Mickey Shaped. I'm pretty sure I have a tee that says that "everything is better Mickey shaped". Feel free to disagree. Have fun.

Coming to the mint julep bar is a must each time I come to Disneyland! The Mickey shaped beignets are soooo good. Make sure you shake the bag really well to evenly coat the beignets in powdered sugar. It tastes better when it is evenly coated. New Orleans mint julep is always refreshing and a Disney staple. It goes really well with the beignets. They also have seasonal mint juleps and beignets most of the time, but my favorites are the classics. Make sure you mobile order in advance for quick service and pick up! Lines are typically very long because of how popular this place is! There are lots of table nearby, but usually always occupied during the afternoons and evenings.

The peppermint beignets were delicious. The peppermint flavor is just the right amount, and the dipping sauce was delicious. I wish they would heat up the dipping sauce, that would push this to a 10. The wait time was a little long but once you're at the front of the line ordering, the food comes out really quick! Find this back near Tiana's Bayou.

The drinks are incredibly tasty and as a person who doesn't like sour, I enjoy how the mint elevates the drink past a simple lemonade. I also enjoyed the Beignets but I'd get them from Downtown Disney instead, the chewiness and flavoring here isn't as good although it does come in a Mickey Mouse shape. There's not a ton of room to sit because the resturant is so busy but that goes for all of Disneyland.

Mint Julep Bar is located inside Disneyland. We ordered their Mickey-shaped Beignets and New Orleans Mint Julep.The beignets were so delicious, wished we ordered more. Wow, so surprised I never got this on my other trips to Disney. The drink surprisingly was refreshing, even though I do not really like mint or limes like that.

PEACH BEIGNETS PEACH BEIGNETS PEACH BEIGNETS!!!! I must admit... I'm not typically a huge beignet fan. Yes they're good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get some or recommend to someone that they MUST get beignets from Disney. BUTTTTT the new peach beignet has changed my mind. THAT PEACH POWDER IS INSAAAAANEThe best way to describe them is that they taste like peach rings ... but better? I've had multiple people try the peach beignets and we all agreed that they are something special. They're candy-like but not too sweet? Just insanely addicting. I do not crave beignets but after having the peach beignets, NOW I DO! Pls Disney, keep that peach flavor year round!!! I love her hahaha

*** Beignet Review *** The signature beignet chewiness was not there. The beignet was hollow inside. And when I say hollow, I mean hollow. If you're going to get beignets, get some steps in and try Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney. What you lose in Mickey shaped food, is made up for in flavor, texture, and chewiness. Jazz Kitchen is actually better than Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans. Mint / Mango Julep ... heavy on the mint side. The mango bits are fresh. I wouldn't order again.

Disneyland park admission is required in order to dine here.The Mickey beignets are always a classic. We chose to mobile order them for faster pick up. Plenty of seating was available when we arrived after dinner. When we ordered them, they came out looking a little bit rough. The powdered sugar was in large clumps and had trouble sticking to the beignets even after the bag was shaken many times. The beignets themself were still soft and delicious, it just looked like Mickey had a rough day.
