MeloMelo Coconut Dessert

Never thought I'd love coconut jelly so much! This place was recommended to me by my sister who learned about it from my cousin who went to school in Irvine. When I went down there earlier this month, I had never tried it before so my sister ordered for me. The inside of the restaurant is super cute and pink and while we were going to eat inside, we wanted to watch our show together but otherwise would have stayed.She got us both a mango coconut jelly and when we put our order in, the man behind the counter disappeared to go cut up fresh mango. He was really quick, wrapped up our mason jars and we took these to go. When we got back to hers, I took a bite of fresh mango mixed with the jelly and it was sooo yummy! It was nice and sweet mixed with the coolness & softness of the coconut jelly that tasted like nothing I've ever had before. The best part of it was the mason jar we got to keep at home and I make overnight oats with these cute little pink jar now. Loved this place and I really wish we had one closer in the Bay! It would be a huge hit!

I stopped by at this location because it was next to a dim sumThey range from around $10-$12 each. It was Super Bowl Sunday, so there was a steady stream of people coming in. Wow the prices have risen since I've last gone here. Tried the pistachio rose vegan flavor and the mango. I have to say my favorite was the pistachio rose. But $12 for that sucker. It's definitely a treat, but I don't know that I would come here often given the price for a dessert of that size. Service was good. They don't allow to eat in if you select the durian flavor haha.

Melo Melo in Irvine is hands down one of my favorite spots for a refreshing and satisfying drink. Their menu is full of unique and creative options, and the quality is always top-notch. Whether it's their bubble tea or fruit-based drinks, everything is made with fresh ingredients, and you can taste the difference.The service is quick, and the staff is friendly, which makes for a pleasant experience every time. The atmosphere is chill, perfect for hanging out with friends or grabbing a quick treat. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

If you loveee coconut jelly dessert like me then I highly recommend Melo Melo!! I've always been a fan of this dessert with fresh fruits and i'm glad to see more variety in options. I used to always go to this other coconut jelly place but unfortunately, they decreased their potion so much in just a tiny little jar. I love the size of Melo Melo as it's exactly what I want and the jar is a good size for keeping too. The regular mango was sold out when I went in store but no problem because the mango puree was there and tasted just as good, still having whole mango chunks in it. It's a very cute shop with lots of different flavors so I will definitely try more. The coconut jelly itself was good tasting and consistency. It's quick service too since the jars are already really in the fridge. Melo Melo is my new favorite coconut jelly place!

Visited Melo Melo from out of town and was excited to try out some Asian puddings, especially their vegan options! We ordered the Mango River (vegan) and the Pistachio Rose (vegan). The employee offered to give us a bag but we declined. There is seating inside and outside the shop but we opted for inside since it was clean. It was not busy when we came on a Friday afternoon, but I imagine if it gets busy, there would not be enough tables to accommodate more than 15-20 people.Now, onto the desserts...1) Mango River - This has mango chunks on top and pureed mango cream with tapioca. It was good, but according to my husband, he prefers the mango dessert from Mango Mango. For the price of $9.99, I did think it was a bit expensive for the amount we got. Probably would not get this again. I give it a 3 out of 5.2) Pistachio Rose - This was amazing. There are rose buds on top a layer of rose jelly, and the cream underneath the jelly was pistachio coconut flavored. According to the description, there is supposed to be mochi inside, but there were no mochi to be found. Nonetheless, by itself it was already very refreshing and you could taste both the rose and the pistachio. It's a bit pricey at $13 but I thought it was worth it. I give it a 5 out of 5.When we are back in town, I plan to try their other vegan flavors. These also make great gifts, and I love that we can keep the jar containers. They will definitively be re-purposed as lunch containers.

We were eating next door and decided to swing by here for a nice little sweet treat for dessert. It's super cute and pink when you walk in lol I got the matcha and mango and both were actually really good! I've seen Melo Melo on yelp before but idk I never really was intrigued to try it but they actually taste way better than they look in pictures lol it's so light and refreshing and the coconut is very light (for those who aren't a fan of coconut) The jars are super cute and reusable too so that's a bonus! The price is a little steep, $10-$12 a pop but worth it in my opinion :)

Got the durian one this time. It was pretty good, but I feel that the durian was frozen durian. Basically, it didn't taste as good as durian can. Also the coconut pudding part had a good amount of it just straight up liquid. Otherwise it was pretty good.

I visit this dessert shop every week, making me a loyal customer. My top picks are matcha, pistachio rose, jasmine green tea, and peach gum. The creamy coconut flavor is delightful, and I appreciate the soft, watery texture since they skip the gelatin. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this dessert shop.

I got the sunset mango because it was recommend by the staff and that was good, not too sweet so it was perfect. I'm interested in trying other flavors next time. I'm really curious about durian, it's interesting because it's only available for purchase but you cannot eat it there, which makes me want to try it even more lol. You also get to keep the cute jars if you want!

So I was curious about this place and kinda wondering how a place that served basically just coconut as a base for all their items could be successful. Wouldn't that exclude a large population of consumers who don't like coconut? But a friend brought this over and at first I was a bit sus about the price and the texture but once I tried it I strangely got hooked! It's very light and refreshing if you don't want something heavy for dessert. So far we tried the double coconut and the strawberry. I prefer the double coconut but noticed that flavor had a slight aftertaste the strawberry didn't. We did takeout both times so can't attest to service really? Ambiance is like every frozen yogurt or ice cream shop nothing special but clean.
