Mayflower Dumpling Express

Mayflower is a fantastic choice for Chinese dumplings and more, and my recent experience with their food absolutely earned them 5 stars. I ordered soup dumplings, fried rice, noodles, spicy wontons, and string beans through DoorDash for a cute girl, and she loved everything--which, let's be honest, automatically makes them a winner in my book!Overall, Mayflower delivered both quality and happiness, and I'll definitely be ordering again. Whether it's for yourself or to impress someone special, you can't go wrong with this place!

I've tried a few places with similar cuisine. This restaurant is definitely delicious and has great tasting buns/dumplings. My family ordered a large amount of food while we were in Anaheim for a small trip. We used Uber and the delivery was smooth and all items we're definitely packaged with care! We tried the following:Pork soup dumplings- delicious! Still at a great temp when received and the black vinegar sauce was on point! Pork pan fried buns- really pillowy and delicious, what you expect from this dish. House noodles- very good in flavor, unfortunately lacked protein. For a house noodle with 3 different proteins I definitely expect the noodle to protein ratio to be a significant amount more than what we received. This was tasty but in my opinion the ratio needs to be adjusted so the proteins aren't so scarce.House fried rice- same problem as the noodles with the protein, but beyond that unfortunately this one lacked a lot of flavor and was oddly dry. I don't expect fried rice to be brothy or saucy at all but that's the best word I can use to describe how it felt and tasted. Spicy Wontons- this was very delicious! Top of my listGreen beans- super garlicky in a very good way! Crispy and delicious 10/10Mongolian bowl- the beef was tasty! The description on uber didn't help. It didn't say that steamed rice came with it. So just know it does! That won't affect the score I give. Overall it was a solid choice in flavor with some minor hiccups. I would definitely order again but I would keep in mind my experience and make necessary adjustments to my order to suit my needs. Try it out!

I was impressed by the speed to which they made the food. There's good parking and it's a chill spot, but the food is just so so for me. Maybe I need to try more items but for now, it's a three star! The service was nice and I'm def interested in coming back and getting something else. I got the chow mien and thought it needed some eggs and more flavor imo.

Came here after Knotts berry farms for a quick lunch. Service is amazing. Clean restaurant overall. Order at the register. We got Soup dumplings, chicken wonton with chili sauce, chicken chow mein and string beans. String beans were our fave! The chicken wontons had a weird consistency. Chow mein was simple and no veggies- a bit saucy but not terrible.

I've eaten here a couple times and the food quality isn't consistent. The flavor of the food is on the less seasoned side, so it tastes more healthy. Recently tried the braised beef noodle soup, house chow mein, house fried rice, and custard egg bun. The meat was chewy and the bun itself was not soft and pillowy with barely any custard.

I was craving dumplings and this hit the spot. I ordered the house dumplings boiled and was so glad to see they had black vinegar on the table. We also ordered the spicy chicken bowl. I would say it was a solid 4/5! Rice to chicken ratio is what is stopping me from giving a 5/5.But overall, this place is pretty solid. Staff is very nice. Service could've been faster since we were the only ones here but it wasn't too bad. It's a small and quiet place. Private parking in the back.

Are they better than your favorite dumpling spot? Probably not, but this spot definitely gets the job done. When you're getting off work after a hard day and you don't feel like cooking, this is definitely a spot to drop by at. This ain't really a spot you crave, but a spot you're down to eat at when you and someone else can't agree on where to eat. It's kind of like a middle group spot. I can't say it's the best XLB, but if I'm not trying to drive out of my way for some dumpling/ and dim sum, this place will do.

The best dumplings and fried rice I've had in well forever.. if the dim sum, wontons, and dumplings are good the rice and noodle bowls were great too! Very nice family and friendly people. Don't the street always coming back for those spicy pork dumplings omg to die for! Need the recipe!

It was so good we are thinking of going twice in two days. This place had great food and the prices were reasonable. The favorite were the soup dumplings, they are a must have. Do mix the vinegar, chili oil and soy for the dumplings. The teas were also great and worth getting. The cashier was very sweet and provided us information on the food. It had a small dining area and we were alone. It was clean and bright. The only concern for some people is that you are expected to bus your table. So be aware and clean up after yourself. This reduces costs and allows restaurants to keep prices reasonable. Hope you enjoy as much as we did.

Absolutely delicious dumplings. Quick service and nice staff. Love the egg custard buns!
