We ordered 8 California rolls for a potluck and they were a hit!We put a note about this being for a potluck and the Maki Yaki team made sure to include enough utensils, soy sauce, ginger, and wasabi for the group. I feel really bad for this place since people left a lot of bad reviews. Okay first of all, if you're going to do take out sushi, it better be Sugarfish, because otherwise, take out sushi is always a horrible sushi experience.Sushi is meant to be eaten at the bar seats, and all you can eat style. I don't care what any sushi connoisseur has to say. All you can eat sushi places are my favorite places to dine. This place is just like most all you can eat sushi places. Just expect a lot of food. And you should be fine.

Maki-Yaki is my daughter's go to sushi place for AYCE sushi. So when she's in town I know that is going to be on our dinner plan one night. Brought my daughter, son-in-law, son,and girlfriend to Maki-Yaki for AYCE sushi over the holidays. I like the 3 rounds format where you order from the AYCE menu and eat the order, order at second round and eat it,then a 3rd round. It keeps the sushi fresh and allows you to gauge how many items you can eat on the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Service is always efficient with the server taking the orders to the sushi chef and bringing out the trays as they are ready. Prices are reasonable for AYCE sushi and the fish is good quality. Their motif is typical Japanese restaurant with paper lanterns and the like. We're regulars here and will be back soon.

I was there a few months ago and haven't been back, My wife and I ordered from the all you can eat menu, So we ordered quite a few dishes at the same time so we wouldn't have to wait, The gentleman that works there came over and told us that if we didn't finish eating everything that we would get an additional charge, We did tell him that we were going to eat everything we just didn't want to wait, This gentleman kept coming around looking to see that we ate all the food making my wife and me very uncomfortable, I don't know if anyone else has experience the same? But I have noticed that every time I drive by at different times of the day the Parking lot isn't as full as it used to. Except for the crappy service the food has alway been awesome. Lost Customer

I have not been here in the four years since under new management or ownership, and I'm so glad I went back yesterday. My lunch was super fresh, and delicious. I have been getting sushi from Maki Yaki for years and have never been disappointed. I have actually never eaten inside of the restaurant but I have always picked up my orders to go. Staff is always very friendly and my orders are always ready on time. The inside of the restaurant actually looks very nice. It is lit a little on the darker cozy side and is nicely decorated. Our go to menu items are usually the Philly roll, spicy tuna roll, California roll, and mixed tempura with shrimp and veggies. The rolls are generously sized and always taste great. I haven't done a price comparison lately, but the last time I did, Maki Yaki won hands down with great prices compared to other local sushi places.
