We came here with dear friends (4 total adults and 2 kids) the other day and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. Magic Key Terrace was a welcomed respite from the frenetic craziness of California Adventure on a very crowded Saturday. My better half and I shared the Emperor's New Flatbread and the Harissa Cauliflower...both were very good. The Flatbread was Huacatay-marinated Chicken, Oaxaca and Smoked Mozzarella, Radish, Huancaína Sauce, Huacatay Pistou and Micro Cilantro. The Harissa Cauliflower was this delicious roasted Cauliflower with White Bean Hummus, Fried Chickpeas and Kale, Lemon Zest, Chili Oil and Dukkha. They were fairly pricey and definitely not huge, at $17 and $23 respectively, but really delicious. Our little guy got a Disney check meal which consisted of a single tiny Angus Beef Slider on a Toasted Sesame Slider Bun, served with Seasonal Fruit and Fried Potatoes. It came with a water or a milk. I feel like the Kids menu option at Carthay Circle Alfresco Terrace sort of puts this place to shame, but it was a very "good" option for our little guy and he ate everything! The best part of the experience was the service. Our server was incredibly nice and when we had a couple snafus with the food, they were quickly fixed. We'll be back!

*MAGIC KEY HOLDERS ONLY*(Only 1 person in your party needs to be a holder)AMBIANCE:In DCA it's where they serve wine, just go upstairs! It's an indoor/outdoor type patio which overlooks the park. Seems secluded because it's for Magic Key Holders only.FOOD:$31 ROUTE 66 FRIED CHICKEN: it was a whole Cornish hen. It's fried perfectly, comes with a delicious gravy and great for one person! OVERALL:I'd go back to try some of the other dishes.

Honestly, I would have NEVER recommended MKT to anyone in the past because their menu sucked. It was until they added a very special item to their menu (many months ago that I didn't know of until recently).Oh my goodness of deliciousness! The gods of fried chicken have spoken! I never would have imagined anywhere beating Plaza Inn's fried chicken ever. My fellow friends...allow me to introduce the Route 66 Fried Chicken at MKT!It's by far the best fried whole hen I've ever had. It's so balanced in flavor + juiciness + crispiness that only a mad man could ever perfect such a recipe. I am in awe and growing hungry for more.On a side note, it's the only item on the menu that will make it super worthy for your visit and is the only reason why I'm giving it a 5-star rating. Indulge and savor! May your taste buds get blown away!

I ike to do my research before going to Disneyland because I like to be prepared. I checked the weather app several times during the week just to make sure it was not going to rain up until the day before we flew down to Anaheim. So when it started to rain when we were here last month (November 2, 2024), I was completely unprepared. No rain jackets, no ponchos-- nothing. Don't even talk to me about buying a $20 poncho (or however much they charge these days) because I wasn't about to buy one. When my bf told me that he knew where we could park ourselves while waiting for the rain to stop, I was all for it even tho he said we needed reservations. I pushed the stroller up hoping for the best and lucky us-- we got in. =)Our time here was well spent because not only did we get to hang out for an hour while we waited for the rain to stop, but we also got to eat some of the best food I've had at California Adventure. The menu was pretty simple with a small list of offerings, but the 2 items that we shared were absolutely perfect. **Route 66 Fried Chicken $31: Fried Cornish Hen with Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Seasonal Vegetables and Mushroom Herb Gravy. This not only looked picture worthy but was so tasty. The chicken skin was done exactly how it's supposed to be. Tender, deep fried and not too salty. The Garlic mashed potatoes were whipped and creamy with a slight touch of garlic. And let's not forget about the Mushroom Gravy. Chef's kiss. **Silly Symphonies Churro Sandwich $10: White Chocolate Mousse, Strawberry Compote, Strawberry Crunch topping. I've never had a dessert like this before. I love churros but served as a sandwich? Never. There's a first time for everything. They took a churro and swirled it to make a top and bottom part of a sandwich. On the inside, it was filled with White Chocolate mousse. This was unexpectedly good. Crunchy on the outside and the mousse filling was light and airy. Topped with the Strawberry crunch gave it a surprise twist. Loved this. I would definitely get it again.Service was also pretty great here-- They knew we wanted to stay for a while to wait for the rain to stop. We felt more than welcome to stay as long as we needed. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all either (Perks of being a Magic key Holder)-- also a nice haven from the all the bustling people walking in the parks.

Came here to celebrate my mom's birthday. I booked a reservation on the Disneyland website for their World of Color Package: which comes with a starter, entree, and dessert. After you eat, they will give you the World of Color Voucher in which you go to a standing area-section for the package.I also asked for a chocolate birthday cake to surprise my mom, and it's like a chocolate mousse cake in the shape of Mickey Mouse! Service is great as it always is at Disneyland. Overall, it's nice to go here when you want to have a nice ambiance dinner, or celebrate an occasion.

Went here for my boys bday celebration. For an "exclusive" restaurant you would think the service would be much better. When we went they say us an our reservation time which was nice, but it took some time for the our waitress to come out and greet us. Once she finally came out she was very friendly. The food was ok. I got the fried chicken, my sons got the pizza and braised short ribs. Nothing special with the flavors or presentation. When we were finished with the meal I had to remind the waitress of the bday cake I preordered. This was disappointing because you would think they would want to make 8 year old kids day special. The ambiance was nice, had a great view of the pier. It's a nice 1 time experience.

Magic Key Terrace, we accidentally stumbled upon this when making reservations - it's for annual pass members only, but they let us stay anyways! The ambience is very comfortable and welcoming, the service is incredible! Food is great, but portions are small. Really, you come to places like this for the world of color dining seating package cause that is needed!Good spot, greatly appreciate the heightened hospitality, but if it wasn't for the world of color seating, I'd prefer other options around the park for better pricing and value.

It was our first time here even though we have been a magic key holder for awhile.Service wasn't good today. It took awhile for our server to come after we got seated. We ordered the charcuterie board and the flatbread.Flatbread $17 and charcuterie board $20 was good.Flatbread was a bit small but shareable. Not too spicy. Wish there was a bit more chicken on it. The pate was delicious but the olives were a bit on the saltier side. The cheese were good.

The service up here was amazing. A little difficult to get a reservation and they do check your magic key pass to go up. The food was just alright for the cost. The short rib had a lot of fatty pieces which I wasn't a fan of. It is really nice up there and we had a spot overlooking the park.

The Magic Key Terrace is a private space away from all the crowds in California Adventures. As far as that goes, it does a fantastic job at being a rest and reset space. All the staff were very friendly and quick to seat us at the time of our reservation. The two dishes we ordered were pretty flavorful, particularly the short rib. The flatbread was good as well, but you can skip on it and get another short rib haha. Pricing was a bit high, but that is to be expected from any dining at Disney Parks. You can certainly dine better if you leave the park for the price that you're paying here. However, you're also paying for the convenience of not having to leave.Alcoholic Drinks (not pictured) were pretty good.Overall, if you are a Magic Key holder, I would recommend you visit this place at least once to check it off the list. But it certainly isn't one of our go-to's every time we come to the park.
