This little restaurant tucked away in the corner of my tattoo strip mall area was absolutely perfect for a quick bite to eat. The lady was so flippin sweet and happy who gave me my food. Would definitely be back if I'm in the area.

We have been coming here on and off for years. It's a modest family run place doing solid food. The menu is a a mix of Vietnamese and Chinese. My wife always gets broccoli beef which she loves. I mixed it up between pho, rice dishes and noodles.I think it's basically a husband and wife thing with the husband cooking and the wife handling the front of house.I have never had a bad meal here.

My family has been enjoying the food at Long Hai for quite a long time, and every time we are here we are treating like family! The folks here make some of the best Asian food in Tustin

For years I have seen this place but never gave it a shot. TBH I do regret a bit not having done so earlier. I've have ordered take-out a few times now from Long Hai and all that we had tried was delish & fresh. The flavors they cook here has been on point. I must say they are pretty generous with their portions too. We phoned in our order and as well ordered in person - the lady who takes our order is super nice! It takes about 20-30 minutes for our order (we always order about 3-4 entrees each time). Packaging for take-out is done very well. Only gripe I have is they use Styrofoam. Other than that IMO prices are super fair. Long Hai IS definitely one of the better Vietnamese restaurant I have tried in Tustin. Even The Bunz says this is truly authentic Vietnamese food. [4.5 / 5.0 ] - Crispy Taro Salad - Best eaten soon as you get it because the taro slices becomes un-crispy when taken home. Otherwise this is a tasty & refreshing salad[5.0 / 5.0 ] - Combination Noodle Soup - A very heart-warming light tasting soup loaded with shrimp, chicken, fish fillet & BBQ pork.[5.0 / 5.0 ] - Combination Beef Pho - Great pho broth & such a hearty soupy meal![5.0 / 5.0 ] - Pho LB - Literally the meat falls off the bone. So good![5.0 / 5.0 ] - Basil Fish Fillet - Amazingly delish! Love the flavor & it is best eaten quick for it's crispiness. So yummy![5.0 / 5.0 ] - Kung Pao Chicken - WOW, one of the best kung pao chicken I've had! I seriously would order this over & over again! My Fav![5.0 / 5.0 ] - Grilled Pork & Rice - Nicely grilled & cooked perfectly. Add an egg roll for that crispy texture & goes well with the grilled pork & rice![1.0 / 5.0 ] - Thai Iced Tea - Maybe we shouldn't get this toward end of their evening shift for it was very watered down. My mom said it didn't taste anything like a Thai tea & didn't like it at at all. Can't wait to order from Long Hai again :) If and when I can, I love to support local & mom/pop businesses.

A friend recommended this place to try the fried fish and it was good! I called in for a take out fried fish and it was huge when I picked it up so they charged me an extra dollar since they only had big fish on that day but for $17 bucks total and came with rice wasn't bad. The dipping sauce was like a sweet and sour tamarind but I think you can pour it on top of the fish if dined in. I would love to come back to try their other viet dishes. Seems like the place has great food.

A hole in the wall place. I've seen it many times passing by Cream Pan, but I wasn't sure if I should take a leap. I did. Instead of ordering pho, I ordered the seafood pan fried noodles. It was pretty good, although the sauce was a bit salty. Everything tasted goods they gave a lot of vegetables which I love, but the shrimp tasted kind of funny. Maybe the shrimps were kept in the freezer way too long. It didn't taste fresh. I don't think it's worth the risk of eating it so I spat it out. I asked for the broth to eat along with the noodle. The broth was excellent. If this is the same pho broth, then I can't wait to try their pho.

Tucked away in the corner of the plaza, I have been nearby for Cream Pan and Bardot so many times and never noticed Long Hai. Plenty of roomy parking in this plaza. I was specifically searching for Sup Mang Cua, when Long Hai came up. I was excited that they were in Tustin so I didn't have to make the trek to the Little Saigon area. When I arrived in the evening time after work the restaurant was empty. I was able to pick any seat I wanted so I decided to sit by the window to enjoy some day light. Their menu has a lot of options to pick from. Pricing is on the affordable side in this economy. I ordered a Hot Tea ($?), the Sup Mang Cua ($8/regular) I came here for and a starred signature Ca Chien Don ($14). I was disappointed the hot tea came in a small styrofoam cup and not a big pot. I am also not a fan of styrofoam so that was a turn off but the tea actually tasted really good. The Sup Mang Cua is a Vietnamese Asparagus and Crab soup. It also has egg whisked into the soup base. The portion was decent. However visually I was surprised they used the green asparagus and not the white asparagus I see used for this soup. Unfortunately the crab did not taste fresh. Before ordering I was wondering if I should get the large and after tasting the dish I was glad I got the regular size. The Ca Chien Don ($14) is a Fried Tamarind Sole Fish. When ordering the lady warned me that this fish is very boney. I told her I was aware and I am magnificent at deboning fish. This was such a huge portion. Definitely enough for two people. The batter on it was tasty and it was fried to a perfect execution. However there was that fishiness essence that lingered. Even the dipping sauces could not save it from its' unfresh taste. While paying for my check, an older gentleman came to the front. We had a great conversation about the latest gas rate increases. I think the service here is really nice, so that's my reason for rounding up. My overall assessment is that they have a menu with a lot of variety, prices are fair, friendly service but the downfall for me is the subpar quality. If you have basic taste buds, you might like this place for pricing and portion.

I ordered delivery via Door Dash from Long Hai after a search for asian style catfish, since I was craving it. The food was delicious! The catfish was cooked perfectly and the sauce on the catfish was plentiful and absolutely delicious with the rice. The kung pao chicken was also delicious, with a nice sweet and salty flavor. I would highly recommend trying both of these dishes.10/10 for the food, and with how delicious it was I definitely will be coming to dine in at a point to experience the restaurant more intimately.

We wanted to try this place for lunch. We arrived at 11:05 on. Saturday and sat outside for 20 minutes. The business hours is either old or arbitrary. They don't care what time you arrive or they open their doors. Wasted drive time and ended up grabbing sandwiches and didn't have time to sit and eat it. Terrible experience

We were in the area and wanted to have some pho for lunch so we stopped in here. This is located fairly close to the 5 freeway in a shopping center with a variety of businesses, most are food-related.The place was average in size with a few guests sitting out front. Several tables located inside. Clean, but nothing particularly interesting otherwise. No wait on a Saturday afternoon as it was empty inside.Server was friendly and seated us promptly. There were several copies of menus visible under the removable glass tabletop so we started there. When the server came to take our order, we were then informed that all the prices on the menus under the glass were off by $1. So basically they wanted to just magically charge us an extra $2. So that was a huge turnoff. I mean, we weren't going to walk out at that point, but it does make me wonder why we were being singled out to pay more than what's listed on all the menus. Did they upcharge everyone else, too? In a service industry, management should either update the menus if they want to increase prices or they should honor what they list on their menus. Otherwise, it seems kinda unfair?Getting back to the food, both of us liked our pho. The "large" came with lots of noodles. Broth was like other pho places. Meat and veggies were fresh. Overall, I enjoyed the food but didn't think I had the best experience.
