I. Love. Bánh cuốn! This has always been my families go to place growing up. Except that the lines are more organized and the service is much better. Like all restaurants, the prices have gone up. But I'm a loyal customer and so I'll always come back again and again for more bánh cuốn by the pound.

I bought a load meat in afternoon around 3 pm on 1/27/25. The price of the product is $8 on the board. When the cashier gave me the food, I gave her a $10 bill. She gave me back $1.26 without saying anything just like a robot. I got the exchange and intended to ask her how much it costs, but she walked away. Usually, the load meats are sale as the price includes tax already; the cashier is so impolite and doesn't know how to do her job.

Its a simple place to buy bulk banh cuon and the toppings. Price is good. Service is typically of Vietnamese service and its a takeout place so it doesnt really matter. It might take 5-10 minutes for them to pack your order, depending on how much you order.

BEWARE OF THE ONLINE MENU PRICING I called in to order 2 small trays of food. My bad for not asking about the price before placing my order. I was looking at the online menu and a small tray cost about $35+tax.Well, when I got there, I was charged almost $100 for 2 trays of food, which is the price for the mediums. When asked about the price difference, the cashier just brushed me off saying the manager is on vacation, they will fix the online price when the manager is back. But the price has been up on their website for months. So, idk about that.On the food side, I get why they charged me almost $50 for a tray because there was a lot of food. These 2 trays fed 9 people and there were a lot of leftovers. The crab vermicelli was delicious, I would say 8/10. I love the house special salad but other people said it was too sweet, so I guess 6/10.I would very likely come back for the food, but next time, ask about their prices beforehand.

Customer service here sucks. I didn't think the reviews on gmaps would be real but they surprised me. I know a lot of these older Viet stores have a lot to be desired but I always managed to make an order fine. Sometimes, all I do is just point, and maybe speak some very choppy Vietnamese but they get it. But this place.. if your Vietnamese is not great or you speak to them in English, they don't know how to respond to you. I asked the service guy if they sold half pound banh cuon, but the dude was very short and didn't have the energy to even tell me more about the offerings. I forgot my glasses too, so I had trouble reading the TV screen that showed the menu. After, I asked my question, he curtly said, "No, we don't sell half pound. Only one pound." And then left me standing there awkwardly. Okay. I stood there for like a good few minutes before I realized he wasn't going to elaborate. I left quickly because I hate standing in awkward situations. One pound literally feeds my family: at least 5 people. It's a lot for one lady to eat on her own. He missed the opportunity to sell to me. This is what he could have said, "Hey, we don't sell 1 pound, but you can get this or this instead." Your competitors will thank you because there's lots of good to-go places in Bolsa that sells 1 person banh cuon servings and half pound for when l need to meal prep.

A friend gifted a large roll of Vietnamese ham (steamed ground pork) last week. Just cut it open now and I found CLING PLASTIC WRAP was used not only outside the banana leaves but also directly upon the meat. Both layers appear to be boiled in the cooking which can pose health hazard to consumers as plastic melts and absorbs into the meat when done! Given its popularity, this wrapping practice has to stop, using an alternative. More likely, every business selling this dish is preparing in the same manner. Meanwhile, I'll stop having it.

Today I went there to get the sandwich, I liked the service that was fast; but the only thing I saw the lady who wrapped the sandwich that was still widely opened & she stood near the tray of cilantro , and this lady kept talking Vietnamese too much with coworker, I saw she did not wear a mask,. I meant if you don't wear a mask and you keep talking the saliva can splash on the food. I looked around I saw coworker who put meat inside the sandwich had a mask on, also the people who took orders had mask too. Wearing mask is not required ; but if you're standing in front of trays the food , and you like to talk then you need to wear a mask . It protect bacteria goes to food, especially it's flu season now
