Here's a polished version of your Yelp review based on what you shared:This sushi spot is incredible! The fish is some of the freshest I've had in South County, and I've been here three times now without a single disappointment. From the sashimi and sushi rolls to the edamame, tempura, miso soup, and chicken teriyaki bowls--everything has been absolutely stellar. My only wish is that they'd add a little background music or liven up the atmosphere a bit. That aside, I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Been here a few times now. The sushi quality is above average. Big generous portions of sushi. Not too much rice. Miso soup is pretty good. The tempura is good. I've never seen it too busy.

I have stopped into this establishment a couple of times to have a warm bowl of ramen. I am a huge fan of soups like Ramen, Pho, and boat noodles as I feel that there is real technique that allows you to taste and enjoy flavors in independents but it all works together so well. Here, the ramen is decent. For a small shop in a huge shopping center with many offerings, it was good enough for me to return more than once. The 1 thing that I wish was different is the way the bowls are named. At most ramen spots I have visited, you will find styles like Miso, Shoyu, Shio, or Tonkotsu, here it is just salt flavor but rather than adding the Japanese name that we all know as Shio Ramen, it is confusingly just "Salt Flavor," which if I am honest, does not sound appetizing. That said, everything I have had does taste good and prices are similar to other ramen restaurants in the area. The staff has been very welcoming and friendly when I visit. I recommend stopping in if you want some warm broth. They also have a fairly extensive sushi menu. I am not a big sushi person, so I have not yet sampled their specialties but I can attest to flavor and quality of their ramen selections.

I was pleasantly surprised. It's kind of hidden close to where The Counter is. The rolls were really good and the atmosphere felt nice and chill. Service was good. I would definitely come back.

Big portions for sushi rolls and handrolls. Fiance wanted to explore our local area by adventuring around Ladera Ranch and figured we should start trying some sushi spots. He decided to go with Lemon & Life since it recently opened in the last month and seemed like prices were reasonable. We arrived at opening on a weekend to an empty dining room as we were the first patrons. They allowed us to sit anywhere we liked and had some tables outside if you'd prefer to dine al fresco. We sat inside at the booth nearest the entrance so that we could some breeze as the inside smelled a little too strongly of cleaners. We browsed the menu and chose the following to share: Unagi Eel bowl and Roll Combination (2 sushi rolls + 1 hand roll). For the combo, we got the shrimp tempura hand roll, Sunrise cut roll and Dragon cut roll.Overall, the portions are pretty massive on the rolls. They do not skimp on the fillings for each roll, including the hand roll. Very filling meal. Fiance was not impressed by the unagi bowl since the portion was deceivingly small. The bowl looked deep upon first glance, but the chopsticks stopped short of where he thought it would be in terms of depth, lol. Oh well, guess we'll stick with the rolls or other lunch combos.

If I could give 0 stars, I would!Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. It's no surprise the place was completely empty when we decided to give it a try. The food was awful, and to make matters worse, I got yelled at by the server!I didn't even eat my meal because nothing about my order was correct, and when I calmly mentioned this to the server, she proceeded to argue with me--telling me I was wrong about what I ordered. When I asked if she could kindly remove the item from the bill, she yelled at me in front of everyone and said, "If you wanted free food, all you had to do was ask," and "Don't come back here!"At this point, I was stunned and explained that I was happy to pay but the order was completely wrong--only the salad was what I asked for. Instead of resolving the situation professionally, she made a huge scene in the middle of the restaurant as new customers were walking in, loudly accusing me of trying to get free food. Excuse me?! I had cash in my hand ready to pay, so I let her know that I wasn't trying to get anything for free. She continued yelling across the room, announcing to everyone, "These people are trying to get free food!"We ended up paying for my partner's meal just to end the nightmare and walked out, completely shocked and embarrassed. I immediately went next door to grab food elsewhere--because apparently, according to them, I don't have the money to eat. What an absolute joke.Do yourself a favor: Avoid this place at all costs. Terrible food, unprofessional staff, and hands down the worst dining experience I've ever had.

Got the 3 item bento combo with salmon teriyaki, spicy tuna and shrimp tempura. The salad and miso soup was the best part of the meal. The salmon teriyaki had zero flavor and a very goopy oddly saccharine sweet taste that had no resemble of a savory soy sweet taste. The tempura and spicy tuna were good because nothing ( good or bad) stood out about it. We also got the caliente roll and again was very disappointed that a roll with spicy tuna and a jalapeño would have zero taste. I think I pin pointed it down to the crab meat they used in the California roll portion of the roll. The roll was stuffed with this crab meat, but because it had zero taste.... It made the entire roll bland. I've never had imitation crab meat that tasted like this, and quite honestly hope to never have imitation crab meat like this again. All in all, I was looking forward to trying this place in hopes of having a good local sushi joint near our home.... But it was a huge disappointment. Hopefully the other dishes are better!

Arrived 6 pm on Wed and they seemed to be understaffed. All the booths were full (with 2 people each) so we had to squeeze our 3 chairs around a 2 top. Actually we had to seat ourselves as there was no host, and the two wait staff were tied up in the kitchen. No one greeted us at our table. No menus. As we sat we noticed all the tables were waiting impatiently for their food. There was only one sushi chef, and the wait staff was not to be seen. Not one table was served. It didn't look good. So we bolted.Sorry for the bad review. I'm hoping to find another chance to eat here. Hopefully they can solve their staffing problems.

We recently visited lemon & life sushi and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! The rolls were incredibly sturdy and packed with generous portions of fish. Take, for example, the salmon roll--it was exceptionally filling, with thick slices of fish both inside and out, not just rice. The service was excellent, and though the ambiance might be a tad pricey, the quality of the food more than makes up for it. Living just around the corner, I was drawn to this place, but what really caught my attention was the number of regulars opting for takeout. That speaks volumes about the consistently delicious experience they offer
