10/10 Food: This is hands down my favorite Italian spot ever! Everything about this dish is spectacular--the sauce, the pasta, and the prosciutto all come together perfectly. My absolute favorite part is how they completely drench the pasta in that rich, flavorful sauce. It's so good, I end up using the bread to soak up every last drop. Yum!Service: 10/10 the girl who was our server was amazing. She was super patient with all my requests. Thank you!Cost: 7.5/10 Pappardelle Vodka $22.00. They raised their prices from $19.00 to $22.00. That is a pretty massive jump of a total of $3.00! Wowowow.

3 1/2 starsMy bf and I were craving Italian and searched around for something local. The pictures looked good so we decided to give it a try. The inside is small but cozy and quaint. They serve complimentary garlic bread. Although I am not one to complain about free bread. But I would not really call it garlic bread. More like a marinara bread. I did enjoy the baked tomato slices on top. _Insalata Cesare ($9) parmesan, croutons, tossed with creamy house caesar dressing. I have been on a Caesar salad kick. Usually I like to get it as a small appetizer but this portion is pretty big. I wish they had a full and half size portion. The dressing had that anchovy taste, which I love. _Spaghetti alla Bolognese ($22) with house made meat sauce. My bf ordered this along with meatballs. He had to return it as the meatballs were cold inside. We thought they would have just re-heated it but they ended up making the meatballs all over again. The meatballs were made with veal so it was interesting for me since I never tried veal meatballs. It was rich and had a lot of depth. Very good and the pasta was perfectly cooked al dente. _Tortellini ($22) hand rolled with smoked chicken filling, creamy pink sauce. I ordered this as I was craving something different from regular pasta. I was sad to say, I was not a huge fan. I was not too keen on the chicken filling. It had a mushy texture. I understand it's a creamy pink sauce, but it was very heavy and overwhelming. The dish was pretty flat and the pasta itself was not good. _Tiramisu ($7) The Tiramisu was a great portion for 2 people to share. A solid tiramisu. A bit more cream to lady finger ratio. The chocolate sauce and strawberry was not necessary as it was overly sweet and took away from the tiramisu. Service was great. They were very kind to take out the bill for the meatballs for my bf. I would maybe come back to try something else and the tiramisu, but not in any rush yet.

Great spot for a date night. We ordered the halibut on the specials menu and the spaghetti southern. Very flavorful, we both cleaned our plates. Highly recommend snagging a reservation, especially since it was a Friday night. I was seated as soon I arrived, and my date joined shortly after (some places make you wait until your entire party arrives). Parking is fairly spacious but you may have to park a little further out. Overall, we loved it and would definitely come back. Great value for the prices too.

This is a tasty and authentic Italian restaurant. Definitely one of the nicer restaurants in the area as well. The service is great as well. The pasta is quality and it's decent. It's not the best authentic pasta I've had as I feel it was lacking some flavor. The portions are also huge. One person can share a pasta. We were visiting from out of town and ended up wasting a lot of food because we each ordered a pasta.I thought the complimentary bread, Caesar salad, and appetizers of calamari and mixed veggies were better than the pasta. The pasta was just lacking. The complimentary bread was warm, soft, and had the perfect amount of butter and cheese. The tomato bread was very flavorful. The calamari was fresh and seasoned perfectly. It's a good spot overall and worth trying but I don't think it's somewhere I would come every time I was in town!

Having a nice Italian spot in Cerritos is amazing!! It always is hits the spot when I am craving Italian food! Today I decided to have it for take out, and it did not disappoint! We had the lasagna and the penne pasta! Both dishes were very filling, and clean! It was my boyfriend's first time eating there, and he was very impressed, as you can tell he started eating before I could take my photos LOLThe restaurant is on the smaller side, but provides both an intimate and familial vibe. I love that they have an open kitchen as well. Their hostess as well as waiters/waitresses are knowledgeable and kind. If you are in the area and craving authentic Italian food, for a fair price, and big portions I would definitely check them out!

La Tavolata has 4.4 stars on yelp and I think it's actually underrated. This place is so good. It has handmade pastas that have that characteristic chewiness that is unmistakable.I got their Spaghetti Alla Bolognese and the pasta has a nice chew to it, while the meat sauce has a nice savory flavor. I started my meal with their Insalata Mista - basically their house salad. But we ordered a bottle of Riesling for $32 to go with our meals and it was so good. The extra hit of acid from the cold wine just made our salad, pasta, and breadsticks just taste better. What's not to like about this place? You get high quality pasta dishes, delicious appetizers, they have a really affordable wine menu, and good service. Easy five stars. Hidden gem in plain sight in Cerritos, CA.

Parking is a bear during peak times. This restaurant is small but clean and the staff is very friendly. The food is the absolute superstar here. I didn't expect it to be SO good. We had the Lasagna and the Scaloppine di pollo ai funghi. Superb homemade pasta, cooked perfectly. The flavors were hitting on EVERYTHING. I haven't done it in a long time but I cleaned my plate. I was so full but I couldn't stop eating. We will be back to try other dishes.

Checked out a new pasta place and was blown away! All the pastas are made fresh in-house and the texture and flavors exceeded my expectations. Their pink sauce is so delicious, but I also love their amatriciana. It's so hard to find a pasta place that has amatriciana and does it well, so I'm so happy I found this spot. Their cauliflower and Brussels sprouts side was nicely charred and super garlicky, and even their gelato for dessert was delicious. On top of the yummy food, they also have a really cute ambience inside that would make it perfect for a date night or celebration. Service is great as well! It is a smaller restaurant so likely wouldn't be ideal for large parties.5 stars- must try!

Can't believe it took me this long to try this place. I've always seen it when I'm in the area but always brushed it off - I wished I tried it sooner!Had a reservation booked for early weekend dinner and it was getting full already. Our waitstaff were pleasant and kept checking in on us. Got the Italian onion soup, a house red wine, and the ravioli ai funghi. Soup was great and the wine was a decent (for a house, that is). The mushrooms gave a bit of an overpowering smell and flavor, but in a good earthy way. Couldn't finish it all in one go, so I took the rest home. Great for a snack later in the evening :)
