6/3/23 This farmers' market is LEGIT small but if you like intimate, interesting venues, this place is for YOU.Unlike the Torrance Certified Fmr mkt, this one is definitely tiny in comparison but it makes up for content. They have Pooka's Eats, plants and seedlings, smoothies, micro greens, Aguas Frescas, clothes, stickers, beauty products, candles, tamales, corn in the cup, fried shrimp, bags of oranges, avocados, fresh eggs, tea, Bite Me, the Dainty Cow, baked goods, MP family farm, Bernardino Loera farm produce, Kapik1 coffee, Nonna Anna italian products, Yalla appetizers...and a food truck cooking up some Cuban food. I tried the dark roast coffee BLACK (!!!) & cold brew at Kapik 1, kudos to Anthony-I rarely drink it black But if it tastes great drinking it this way, then it must be great beans from Brazil. I love that it's located by City Hall & the Public Library. Today was a perfect sunny & warm day. Come it out. Saturdays 9am-2 pm

Great place if you're looking for a few fresh fruits and vegetables. Otherwise it lacks pizazz...it's very subdued and not exciting. Sometimes there's a lack of vendors. The Location may be the problem. The DJ spins tunes mostly from the 80's and has a great voice. There are no taco vendors...some carne asada or fish tacos would be great.

Easy parking at the Civic Center makes this a pleasure. I showed up just after 1 pm today and picked up 8 tamales and a po boy shrimp sandwich meal combo from Pooka's Eats (delicious!). Also picked up some fresh strawberries and blueberries from a fruit and veg vendor. While not a huge farmers market, there's enough good stuff to bring me back. Hope enough people support this because it's great to have a market like this in LA Mirada.

Small market with a lot of potential. There were several food vendors, plant stands, baked goods, tea shop, jewlery/ bag/ knickknack things, and a handful of stands selling fresh produce. I bought some fresh orange juice and a bag of cara cara oranges (was refreshing), some baked goods macadamia and a blueberry cake things(pricey but tastey), 3 berry plants blueberry, raspberry, and boysenberry (vendor wasn't very knowledgeable on plants, they also had cutflowers), two bags of tea peach oolong and pomegranate (both are fantastic), and we stopped at the pupusa stand (very yummy). All in all, we had a great time walking around. I'm lookong forward to seeing how it grows.

Hopefully this market will return to what it used to be. I went this past weekend and there were very few vendors and prices were more than I was willing to pay. Not sure I will return which makes me sad because I love supporting small businesses and trying new things. But only if fairly priced. Only a couple prepared food vendors and prices were crazy.
