La Michoacana

What we order: Fruit cup with chamoy & one single scoop of mango sorbet. Fruit Cup: My boyfriend ordered the fruit cup. I like my chamoy to be a little thicker. I felt this chamoy was too water down. All the fruit tasted fresh, but not the watermelon. Overall, my boyfriend liked it. Mango Sorbet: I ordered a single scoop of mango sorbet and it was delicious. Also, I recommend the guava as well. Service: We were greeted by two welcoming employees. We got our order very fast since there was no line. Ambiance: They had nice music on and I almost got up and started dancing on their super clean floor, haha...the place is always clean and the decor is very bright and colorful.

Love this authentic Mexican ice cream spot. They have such fun flavors, like sapote, mango chamoy, jalapeno limon, nuez... I could go on. Their strawberries and cream paleta is my favorite. Staple dessert spot!

Best ice cream hands down. And at very reasonable prices. I love all the flavors and the bars are just amazing. One day a week they have special pricing on the bars and we'd get like a dozen and save them for the week. Just watch your sugar intake cause this place can really be a slippery slope.

No complaints. This place is great. The cream pops and ice cream are staples in our household.

When they're for their mango drink was very good very tasty and refreshing. The lady behind the counter was also very helpful.

Servings are huge but delicious. Will go back on Sunday to stock up on popsicles. Favorite flavors so far are walnut and pistachio.

~MANGONADAS REVIEW ONLY~ I stopped by for a quick snack since I was craving a mangonada and wanted to check out La Michoacana since this location just opened up! The location has plenty of seating indoors to enjoy your treat but most people probably take it to go since it won't be able to accommodate a large group. Mangonadas usually have a mix of mangos, chamoy, tajin, and a tamarind stick candy. La Michoacana also includes a splash of lime as well which gives it an extra tangy flavor. Since La Michoacana already makes the ice cream in house, they offer a variety of flavors including: mango, pineapple, cucumber, strawberry, lemon, tamarind, soursop, or guava. I decided to stick with the traditional mango flavor. The mango ice cream was sweet but not too sweet since it brought out the natural sweetness. The combination with chamoy and tajin made it extra tasty to enjoy especially on a hot day! I'll definitely come back to try their ice cream flavors and other mangonada options. The service was fast and the employees were very helpful.

So far I've only had the fresas con crema and an esquite twice but they have been delicious. Customer service is awesome.

You know you're in the right place when you see flavors that are completely foreign and pictures of fruits you can't identify. This was our first time here and we decided to "play it safe". We tried the tamarind, guanabana, and mangonada. All three were very quite delicious. We especially enjoyed the mangonada. It was made with the mango sorbet. It spice level was very mild. Not sure if we could have asked for spicier but the flavor was fantastic nevertheless. A note of caution though - the 'large' was ginormous!With so many flavors of ice cream to choose from and with many unfamiliar ones, it took us a while to decide. The staff there were super polite and explained a few things. I also saw they have agua fresca, though we didn't get any. Definitely gonna make this a regular part of my week.
